  • The iconic Wrangler and the small SUV Renegade available for on-site shuttle services and test drives.

The Jeep® brand is proud to be by the side of the WSL surfers during the upcoming Quiksilver and Roxy Pro France, the French surfing competitions of the prestigious World Surf League Men's and Women's Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour (CT), that will take place in Hossegor from October 4 - 15.

The partnership with the World Surf League (WSL) - a global agreement that sees the legendary American SUV brand as the WSL's exclusive automotive Global Partner for the second year running - represents a unique opportunity for the brand to let the general public know its affinity with this sport and discover the entire range of the most highly awarded SUVs.

Indeed, surfing embodies the Jeep brand's core values with the spirit of freedom, passion and adventure that distinguish all models of the Jeep range. Both the Jeep brand and the WSL share a common purpose of being perfectly at one with the environment and with nature, and the desire to go beyond the limits to live a unique experience. This is the fascination of surfing, which is not just a demanding and dynamic sport which pushes the borders of what is possible, but a distinctive lifestyle shared by all surfers, as well as Jeep owners and fans, who are always ready to follow the adventurous spirit, have fun with their cars and are not afraid to tackle the most extreme and hostile terrains in the same way surfers challenge the forces of the sea.

During the surfing competitions in Hossegor, an exclusive shuttle service involving the iconic Jeep Wrangler and the compact SUV Jeep Renegade will be offered to the WSL athletes, while the "Jeep Lounge" will be the place where visitors and fans can book a test drive with both SUVs and gather information on the entire Jeep range.

To further enhance the strong affinity with surfing, the public in Hossegor will be able to take part in "Jeep Ride", the game available through the Jeep-people platform at www.jeep-people.com. Featuring 3D graphics and technology, Jeep Ride involves players in a unique adventure on board Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Renegade and the legendary Willys MB model in the attempt to test their driving ability and win a once in a lifetime trip to Hawaii to attend the last stage of the WSL Championship Tour (Billabong Pipe Masters, December 8-20, Oahu).

During the French events, Jeep Ride will add the real experience to the digital one. Indeed, the contest will be transferred into the 'real world' on a special course that will be set up to recreate the same locations found in the game. Guests interested in testing their driving skills will be invited to take part in the Jeep Ride experience.
At the Jeep Lounge, guests and Jeep enthusiasts will also be able to interact with the Jeep Ride Booth: standing in front of a special 'Box', they will be able to take a picture and print it instantaneously or share it with their friends on the major social channels.

A special signing session will be organized during the French events, and it will be the occasion for all surfing fans to meet the world-class surfers and Jeep Ambassadors, Filipe Toledo and Roberto D'Amico.

Jeep® Wrangler is “Classic car of the year 2016" according to the German magazine ‘Auto Bild Klassik’

  • The readers of Auto Bild Klassik awarded the Jeep® Wrangler (YJ) the 'Goldenes Klassik Lenkrad'
  • For the second year in a row a Jeep model receives the prestigious recognition

The iconic Jeep Wrangler, is enjoying increasing popularity among classic car enthusiasts in Germany. Indeed, the readers of the German magazine "Auto Bild Klassik", one of Europe's most renowned publications dedicated to classic cars, selected the Jeep Wrangler (YJ) as their favourite "Classic car of the year 2016" in the 4x4 vehicles and vans category. The award ceremony for the "Goldenes Klassik Lenkrad" took place yesterday, October 11 in Munich. It is the second year in a row that the recognition "Goldenes Klassik Lenkrad" -selecting the readers' favourite classic car - has been awarded to a Jeep model: in 2015 the 1941 Willys-Overland MB was chosen.

Every year, the German magazine presents to its readers a selection of vehicles that celebrate an important anniversary since their first market introduction, asking them to vote for their favourite. Launched 30 years ago in 1986, the Jeep Wrangler (YJ) was awarded first place in the readers' choice for 2016. Results of the voting are available online at www.autobild.de/klassik-lenkrad.

Jeep® Wrangler (YJ)

On May 13 1986, the first generation of Wrangler - the YJ - was launched, replacing the legendary CJ series introduced at the end of the war (1945) and considered the true descendant of the 1941 Willys-Overland MB, the world's first light-weight 4x4 vehicle. Jeep Wrangler received its characteristic design from the 1953 Willys-Overland M38A1 and its civil version, the CJ-5 - which gave a major contribution to the transformation of Jeep models from utility to life-style vehicles and therefore to the creation of the SUV segment.
The Wrangler integrated this transformation and was designed from the beginning to be a 'fun and freedom machine'. Many components were derived from the Cherokee model and comfort was considered a top priority in its development. In order to represent visually the key design changes, the Wrangler (YJ) featured square headlamps replacing the round ones used on previous models.

Until today, Jeep Wrangler has maintained its unmistakable design - with hallmark design cues including its charateristic round headlamps, combined with unrivalled off-road prowess. And it is the combination of design consistency and technical development that allowed the Jeep Wrangler to become an icon. Today, it is one of the few classic cars that customers can still purchase as a new, production vehicle, thus confirming that the "Classic car of the year 2016" is also the classic car of the future.

Jeep® Brand Wins at the 48th Key Awards:

  • The gala evening of the most important Italian competition on advertising films staged last night in Milan.
  • Jeep® Renegade won the Best Product Placement title for the film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice".
  • Success also for the homonymous Jeep special series with the best off-road capabilities in its category.

Jeep® won the prestigious Best Product Placement title at the 48th edition of the Key Awards for the appearance of Jeep Renegade in the film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". The action movie, released in theaters worldwide last March, was part of an extraordinary project springing from the global partnership between FCA US LLC and the Warner Bros. Pictures.

The 48th Key Awards ceremony was staged yesterday evening at the Elfo Puccini Theater in Milan and was attended by managers of advertising agencies, movie and post-production studios, audio studios and companies operating in various sectors. Roberta Zerbi, Alfa Romeo & Jeep Country Manager - Italy FCA accepted the Best Product Placement accolade for the Jeep brand.

In "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", the two iconic superheroes cross paths for the first time and Jeep Renegade is the car that best captures the drive of the two leading characters, whose epic clash plays out over the course of the entire movie. The same expressive and emotional force is found in the major communication campaign - developed across TV commercials, press and exclusive online activities - created and made by Jeep, in collaboration with the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" filmmakers, to present the special series of the Renegade that sprung from the partnership: the Jeep Renegade Dawn of Justice Special Edition.

The special series debuted in the commercial entitled "Into the Storm", in which the car's placement was already obvious: the spot features footage from the film showing Bruce Wayne (played by Ben Affleck) behind the wheel of a Jeep Renegade. Opening on the streets of a city in ruins, a voiceover describes how Wayne feels attracted by danger rather than running away from it. The narration accompanies various action scenes in which the Jeep Renegade takes center stage. The participation of the Jeep Renegade in the film meant it could be appreciated by an incredibly vast audience.

The epic clash that accompanied the entire film was also the focus of an exciting interactive experience created by Jeep and entitled the "Battle of the Renegades". Players of the online game could pick Batman - BLACK - or Superman - BLUE - and become the heroes themselves using Jeep Renegade to help others and avert the imminent catastrophe.

The film also marked the big screen debut of the model, which is made in Italy and sold in over 100 countries worldwide. In particular, Jeep Renegade is the model that more than others significantly contributed to the extraordinary success of the brand in the EMEA Region. In two years since it was launched, it climbed the sales rankings in many countries, including Italy (the first market in Europe), the UK, France, Germany and Spain, reasserting itself as the most versatile SUV ever with three traction systems, three transmissions, four diesel and petrol engines delivering from 95 to 170 HP, four trim levels and four highly successful special series just in 2016: Night Eagle, Dawn of Justice, 75th Anniversary and the new Desert Hawk.

The Jeep Renegade Dawn of Justice Special Edition is available with a 1.6 E-TorQ 110 HP petrol engine or 1.6 MultiJet II 120 HP diesel engine. Both versions are equipped with manual transmission and front-wheel drive. The car is based on the Longitude trim level and boasts a unique, dark appearance with Gloss Black interior and exterior finishes that accentuate the 18" alloy wheel rims, fog lamp and tail light inserts, Jeep badge and iconic front grille. The limited-edition model is available in four different colors: metallic Carbon Black, Granite Crystal, Colorado Red, and Alpine White.

The time-honoured partnership with FCA is consolidated: "A long road together".

The first Jeep Renegade and Alfa Romeo Giulietta vehicles destined to join the fleets of the Crime Prevention Unit and of Police Stations were handed over today at the Police Academy (Istituto Superiore di Polizia) in Rome at the presence of Police Chief, Franco Gabrielli, and Chief Operating Officer of the FCA EMEA Region, Alfredo Altavilla.  A new Giulia Veloce, with a Highway Patrol outfit, which will become the official convoy outrunner, was also presented. The ceremony reasserted the time-honoured partnership that has tied FCA to the Italian State Police for nearly a century.

The Italian Police has successfully sampled the extraordinary features of the Jeep Renegade 2.0 Multjet 4x4 120 HP Sport, the best mid-size SUV in its category both off and on the road. Its dynamic capabilities and its proportions make it perfect for law enforcement activities in cities and hard-to-reach rural areas even in the toughest conditions. The 1.6 Multjet 120 HP version of Alfa Romeo Giulietta, with its performance and features, is the car that best expresses the need for quick action and security that the Police demand.

Today, with the presentation of the Giulia Veloce in Highway Patrol outfit, the Alfa Romeo fleet of the Italian State Police includes two cars with 2.0 turbo petrol 280 HP engine provided on loan for use basis, which will be used as official convoy outrunners.

The new Alfa Romeo fits a 2.0 turbo petrol engine delivering 280 HP at 5250 rpm and implements innovative Q4 technology developed to manage traction in real time to ensure the best in terms of performance, efficiency and security. In short, the system secures the advantages of all-wheel drive and at the same time guarantees fuel efficiency, reactivity and rear-wheel driving satisfaction. In addition to full comfort-related equipment, Giulia Veloce fits new and efficient active safety systems, such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW) with Autonomous Emergency Brake (AEB) and pedestrian recognition, IBS (Integrated Brake System), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and cruise control with speed limiter.

Over the course of the year, the FCA Group has supplied many cars to the Italian Police to demonstrate the versatility of the range characterised by the country's excellent technological know-how and best creative spirit: Fiat Tipo 5Doors for Prefectures and Police Headquarters, Fiat Panda 4x4 and Fiat Punto for Police Stations, Scudo and Doblò for Dog Units, and the Fiat Professional best-seller Ducato for transporting passengers and goods.

Alfa Romeo and the Italian State Police

For over half a century the Italian State Police has relying on Alfa Romeo cars and engines to enforce law and order. The Alfa Romeo 1900 T.I. was the first model to establish the "Police - Alfa Romeo" connection with its 100 HP, power and safety at the beginning of the 1950s. In 1955, the role of "panther", as police cars are dubbed, passed from the 1900 to the fast Giulietta T.I. This model was followed by the Giulia with 1600 cubic centimetre engine that delivered 92 HP. In the 1960s, the Alfa Romeo "panther" line-up included coupé models, like the 2600 Sprint with Bertone bodywork, and vans, such as the Romeo II. Other Alfa Romeo models were to become "panthers" and become firmly established in the country's collective imaginary, like the Alfetta, the New Giulietta, the Alfasud, the 33, the Alfa 90, the Alfa 75, the 156 and the 159, sedan and Sportwagon, to today's Giulietta and Giulia Veloce.

Jeep® Brand launches innovative customer experience with the all-new Jeep Compass :

  • The "Jeep® Compass Visualiser" allows customers to walk around and discover the all-new Compass, before it physically arrives in the showrooms
  • Based on Tango, Google's smartphone augmented reality technology, the easy-to use application was developed with Accenture and is optimized for the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, the world's first Tango-enabled consumer device
  • Innovative customer experience arrives today in Jeep dealerships in selected markets in Europe and will roll out across the region in the next months

The Jeep® brand is introducing an innovative customer experience at its dealerships: starting today, consumers can walk around and look inside the all-new Jeep Compass before it is physically available in the showroom, thanks to an augmented reality experience.

The Jeep Compass Visualiser is an innovative, easy-to use application that recreates the virtual car before the eyes of the customers in its real dimensions, allowing them to discover the new model and interact with it before its physical arrival in the dealer's showroom.

The application was jointly developed with Accenture and its customer experience agency, Accenture Interactive, and is based on Tango - Google's smartphone augmented reality technology,  which  gives mobile devices the ability to navigate the physical world similar to how we do as humans - and is optimized for the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro smartphone, the world's first Tango-enabled consumer device.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and Accenture showcased a prototype of this application at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2016, providing a first glimpse of how augmented reality can revolutionize the consumers' shopping experience by allowing them to view and interact with a full-scale virtual version of the car they are considering buying.

The Jeep Compass Visualiser is now available across Jeep showrooms in selected markets (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland) and will be available in most Jeep dealerships in Europe by end of this summer.

How does it work

The Jeep Compass Visualiser allows car buyers to hold a Tango-enabled device and view, walk around, look inside and configure a life-size virtual car. External colors and wheel options can be selected and interchanged. Doors can be opened to reveal a realistic and detailed interior, where changes to upholstery colors can be made with a tap on the device screen. As the car is viewed through the device, the virtual car moves in relation to how the user moves.

Customers visiting Jeep dealerships will be able to select their preferred Jeep Compass interior configuration with a choice of two interior colors - Urbex or Ski Grey - and materials - full leather or leather and cloth. The selections will appear in the augmented reality application allowing customers to visualize the choice in 3D, even though the vehicle is not physically present.

The partners involved: Google, Accenture and Lenovo

To deliver this innovative application, the Jeep brand collaborated with Google, Accenture and Lenovo  - each providing its unique contribution to the creation of a unique tool capable of transforming the way customers experience a new product. At the core of the collaboration the importance of putting customers at the center.

Tango uses computer vision to enable the mobile device to detect its position in the world around and bridges the gap between the 2D digital and the 3D physical world. This allows the mobile device the ability to map the 360-degree environment around and to navigate the physical world similar to how people do.

Drawing on the experience of Accenture Interactive and its digital innovation team with the Tango technology, Accenture led the design of this innovative solution that transforms the decision making process when buying a car. The app uses the integrated sensor technology and motion tracking, area learning, and depth perception capabilities from Tango to generate the interaction. No GPS or internet connectivity is needed, once the app is installed, giving almost unlimited location capability when using the technology. It allows for an enhanced user experience tailored specifically for augmented reality.

Lenovo developed the Phab2 Pro - the world's first Tango-enabled smartphone - to house the Tango technology in a consumer device and to make augmented reality accessible to as many people as possible. The Phab 2 Pro's 6-inch+ screen, which features pin-sharp QHD resolution, offers a window for customers to experience the car in its life-size virtual dimensions.

All-new Jeep Compass

Later this summer, when the all-new Compass will start arriving at the Jeep showrooms across Europe, customers will be able discover the full Compass range, comprising four different configurations - Sport, Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk- each coming with a specific content and powertrain option.

The all-new Compass represents a key addition to the Jeep portfolio and will deliver customers user friendly technology and a full array of active driver assist systems with Jeep legendary off-road capability, in a distinctive and contemporary design.

Harley-davidson and Jeep® brand together again for 2017:

  • Two iconic brands renew and extend partnership
  • Jeep® to have a larger experience-driven presence at three major European Harley-Davidson events
  • Exciting Jeep driving Experiences will be available on the brand's entire lineup
  • Limited offer of preferential purchase rates on new Jeeps for H.O.G members

Harley-Davidson® and the Jeep® brand have renewed and strengthened their European partnership for the fourth consecutive year. The Jeep brand will now be a key partner and official sponsor of major Harley-Davidson events and rallies throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Brands don't come much more iconic than either Harley-Davidson or Jeep and both feature long, storied histories that have played their part on the world stage. And both today produce vehicles that encapsulate the very essence of freedom and the spirit of adventure.

Building on the success of the last three years Jeep will have a larger presence at three major Harley-Davidson European events, kicking off with Euro Festival in Saint-Tropez, France (11-14 May) followed by the European H.O.G Rally in Lugano, Switzerland (June 29-2 July) and culminating in European Bike WeekTM in Faaker See, Austria (5-10 September).

Jeep will also attend other Harley-Davidson events in the year including Africa Bike WeekTM in South Africa (27-30 April), Thunder in the Glens in Scotland (25-28 August) and the Benelux HOG Rally in the Netherlands (2-4 June). In addition, the Jeep brand will showcase vehicles at local events in Ukraine, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Estonia and the Czech Republic.

Event visitors will be given the opportunity to experience up close - and test drive - the entire Jeep lineup, purchase official Jeep Merchandise and enjoy Jeep hospitality at the Jeep Lounge. H.O.G members can also take advantage of a limited offer with preferential rates to purchase new Jeep vehicles.

The newly strengthened relationship builds on the success experienced over the past three years and on the core values the two brands share: freedom, adventure, and a passion for the open road, with all of the experiences it brings. Owners of the two brands share something very special - a sense of belonging that often translates into highly customized vehicles that reflect their owners' creativity and individuality.

New Jeep® Compass 2017: the new “Recalculating” commercial goes on air

The new Jeep Compass "Recalculating" commercial makes its TV debut during the biggest football match of the season, which will crown this year's European champions

On Saturday June 3, hundreds of millions of TV viewers worldwide will watch the final of Europe's top competition, as Juventus takes the field. The Jeep brand has been alongside the team all the way to the big match and will take this opportunity for the first showing in main European markets of the new  "Recalculating" commercial, starring the new Jeep Compass immediately after the digital preview on June 2. "Recalculating" is a 60-second commercial that offers a creative take on the sat-nav voice applying it to the important decisions and tough challenges encountered in one's real life instead of road directions. Life is unpredictable and throws many a curve, but that only offers an opportunity to strengthen our spirit, define our identity and grow while making new discoveries. Regardless of your destination, in the new Compass you can take a thousand different, extraordinary and ever-changing roads to reach it.

The spot is available at the following link https://youtu.be/vQPDEKOI4lk

The "Recalculating" campaign draws the spotlight on the new Jeep Compass as it enters an extremely competitive segment in the SUV class. Jeep® Compass: all-new compact SUV delivering unsurpassed 4x4 capability, world-class driving dynamics and a distinctive, authentic Jeep design

  • Jeep® Compass combines user-friendly technology and a full array of active driver assist systems with legendary Jeep off-road capability, in a distinctive and contemporary design
  • Jeep Compass arrives in dealers in July in selected markets

The all-new Jeep® Compass offers an unmatched combination of attributes that includes legendary and best in class 4x4 off-road capability, contemporary and authentic Jeep design, excellent on-road driving dynamics, open-air freedom and a full array of advanced user-friendly connectivity and safety technologies.

The new vehicle represents a key addition to the Jeep portfolio as it allows the brand to tackle the compact SUV segment, an extremely important and growing segment worldwide, that is expected to grow by almost 20 percent to 7.5 million in 2020. In Europe alone, this segment counts over 1.6 million today and is expected to achieve more than 2 million units by 2020.

To address different customer needs across the region, the all-new Compass offers two petrol and two diesel engines for a total of eight different powertrain combinations and four different configurations: Sport, Longitude, Limited - the top-of-the-range trim in terms of refinement, standard technological contents and equipment - and Trailhawk, offering best-in-class Trail Rated 4x4 capability through specific standard features designed for customers demanding the most in terms of off-road capability.

With the introduction of the all-new Compass, the Jeep brand completes its offering in Europe, covering every single SUV segment. The new model will provide a compelling proposition to European customers, by combining the legendary Jeep off-road capability with a distinctive design and a variety of user-friendly technologies that ensure a safe, comfortable and connected everyday driving experience.

Jeep Compass will be available in Jeep showrooms of major European markets including Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and Poland in July. Introduction will gradually follow in other markets to be completed by beginning of next year with the launch of the right-hand-drive version.

Distinctive, contemporary, authentic Jeep design with premium features and open-air freedom

The all-new Jeep Compass features a distinctive, contemporary design aesthetic, with a wide stance and exceptional glass-to-wheel proportions. The all-new compact SUV is immediately recognizable as a Jeep thanks to characteristic traditional design cues, such as the seven-slot grille and the trapezoidal wheel arches. Jeep designers gave the legendary seven-slot grille a fresh look by setting each of the individual chrome slots in a Gloss Black field. LED signature headlamp bezels featuring a black outline add personality and attitude to the face of the all-new Jeep Compass.

A fast, dramatic roofline and muscular fender flares create a stunning profile. A signature, full windows surround (DLO), with an element that tracks completely around the vehicle, along with the available Gloss Black painted roof add a unique, premium appearance. An available dual-pane sunroof designed to maximize surface and headroom delivers the open-air freedom that belongs to the Jeep brand. A standout feature of the rear of the Compass is its unique LED tail lamps: slim and rectangular in shape, the tail lamps flow into the liftgate for a commanding yet premium appearance instantly recognizable as a Jeep Compass on the road or trail.

For added consumer convenience, the all-new Jeep Compass features a power liftgate (availability depending on markets) helping ease cargo storage.

A total of seven wheel designs are available on the new Jeep Compass. The new model rides on 16" (standard on Sport and Longitude), 17" (standard on Trailhawk and Limited and optional on Longitude), 18" or 19" tires (both optional on Limited) providing drivers with confident traction in all road conditions. This configuration may change according to markets needs and specifics.

Jeep Compass will be available in 11 different exterior colors: Redline Red, Spitfire Orange, Laser Blue Pearl, Olive Green, Billet Silver Metallic Clear Coat, Granite Crystal Metallic Clear Coat, Diamond Black Crystal Pearl Coat, Pearl White Tri-Coat, Bright White Tri-Coat, Bright White Clear Coat and Rhino Clear Coat (Limited and Trailhawk models).

Upscale interior design boasts premium features and technology

The all-new Jeep Compass interior design features refined materials and technical details. The trapezoidal center stack bezel is a characteristic Jeep design cue and sports color and finish that complement the interior choice. The center stack houses the 5.0-, 7.0- or 8.4-inch touchscreen displays of the Uconnect system. The center console neatly integrates the functional features of the Jeep Compass, including gear-shift selection, Selec-Terrain controls, electronic parking brake, engine stop-start (ESS) controls, climate and volume control knobs, and easily-accessible media charging and connectivity ports within the cubby bin.

The driver's instrument cluster is thoughtfully designed and features a 3.5- or 7-inch LED driver information display. The full-color 7-inch screen displays information that the driver may configure for easier access while driving and will be standard on Limited and Trailhawk models.

Advanced user-friendly technology including all-new infotainment systems

The all-new Jeep Compass sets the new standard in terms of infotainment systems in the Jeep lineup. It offers three new Uconnect systems (UConnect 5.0, 7.0 and 8.4NAV), delivering communication, entertainment and navigation features to enhance both the driving experience and passengers' onboard comfort. Uconnect 7.0 or 8.4 NAV systems feature a high definition screen with capacitive touch and include new Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (standard on Limited and Trailhawk) features for hands-free phone, navigation (only on the 8.4NAV system) and voice texting. These will allow customers to seamlessly integrate their phone's voice control systems and a full range of infotainment features.

Compass Limited and Trailhawk models also feature Uconnect 8.4 NAV with Jeep Skills. This easy-to-use application provides off-road-specific indexes, that allow drivers to monitor their performance on trails.

Superior on-road driving dynamics

FCA's "small wide architecture," a fully independent suspension, segment-exclusive frequency damping front-and-rear-strut system, and precise electric power steering combine to deliver superior on-road driving dynamics in the all-new  Jeep Compass.

Compass boasts a rigid foundation. The upper body structure and frame are engineered as a single unit for a stiff and more mass-efficient structure, and it is designed and built with an extensive use of high-strength steel and structural adhesives. More than 65 percent high-strength steel is used for maximizing vehicle dynamics and crash performance while optimizing weight efficiency.

Best-in-class off-road capability with two leading 4x4 systems

Best-in-class off-road capability comes courtesy of two advanced, intelligent full-time 4x4 systems: the Jeep Active Drive and the Jeep Active Drive Low, the latter with 20:1 crawl ratio, each of which can send 100 percent of available torque to any one wheel when needed. Both Jeep Active Drive and Active Drive Low 4x4 systems include the Jeep Selec-Terrain system, providing up to five modes (Auto, Snow, Sand and Mud modes, plus exclusive Rock mode on the Trailhawk model) for the best four-wheel-drive performance on any surface - on- or off-road - and in any weather condition.

Compass features a disconnecting rear axle and power take-off unit (PTU) - in order to provide 4x4 models with enhanced fuel economy. Both Jeep Active Drive and Active Drive Low 4x4 systems instantly engage when 4x4 traction is needed. All 4x4 Compass models also feature the 4WD "Lock" function which locks the 4x4 traction permanently and can be selected by the driver with the dedicated button on the Selec-Terrain dial control.

The Trailhawk model features increased ride height of almost 2.5 cm, skid plates, red rear tow hook (front tow hooks are present on the Trailhawk models available in certain Extra EU markets such as Russia and the Middle East), unique  front and rear fascias that deliver 30 degree approach, 24.4 degree breakover and 33.6 degree departure angles, aggressive 17-inch off-road tires and up to 216 mm of ground clearance.

For even greater Trail Rated off-road capability, Selec-Terrain includes Selec-Speed Control with Hill-descent Control on Trailhawk models.

For motor racing fans, a 5 km track sponsored by Falken Tyre will give attendees the chance to put their driving skills to the test alongside a professional instructor, and experience first-hand the adrenaline-charged acceleration tests at the wheel of the Grand Cherokee SRT, the high-performance version of the most award-winning SUV ever.

Jeep Compass: the new compact SUV

The undisputed star of Camp Jeep will be the Jeep Compass, the brand's new compact SUV, which will be available for exciting test-drives on the trails around the Motzener See.

Recently presented to the international press, the new model will arrive in Jeep showrooms across main European markets in July, with a combination of unique features, including legendary top-in-class 4x4 off-road capabilities, authentic and modern Jeep design, excellent road dynamics and user-friendly technology for on-vehicle connectivity and safety.

The Zooppa contest

The winner of the 'Jeep Wave' video competition, run in association with the famous Zooppa platform, will be announced during the weekend. Of the three finalists still in contention, the prize will go to the video that best captures the strong bond between every Jeeper and their Jeep and celebrates the handover of the Jeep legacy between hardcore Jeepers" (the long-term owners) to "Millennial Jeepers" (the youngest generation of owners).

Launched on the brand's social media channels at the end of February, the contest has involved more than 600 video makers, with the aim of showing that the new, Millennial generation share the same passion and values as every Jeep owner.

Mopar®, Official Partner of the Jeep brand for car customisation and aftersales service, will also be a key presence at the event. Visitors to the Mopar® stand, in the Camp Jeep central areas, will be able to admire a Jeep Wrangler fitted with the high-performance Mopar® One Pack, the customisation that equips the car to tackle even the most extreme off-road conditions in complete safety, with on-road type-approval guaranteed. • Award highlights the safety-enhancing technological advancements of the iconic brand's latest model.
  • Availability of more than 70 safety systems and high-strength 'safety cage' contribute to award.
  • Five-star rating comes at a time when the EuroNCAP test is more stringent than ever.

The new Jeep® Compass has attained the maximum five-star EuroNCAP rating, the manufacturer's latest model incorporating the latest technology from the iconic brand, scored positive ratings in all categories - including adult protection, child protection, pedestrian protection and driving assistance safety systems.

The result is even more significant considering that it meets the 2017 severe, ever increasing EuroNCAP standards, underscoring how the Jeep Compass has been developed with safety and protection at its heart.  The new compact SUV combines the brand's legendary off-road capability with user-friendly technology and a full array of driving assistance systems -  all wrapped up in a distinctive modern design.

Making a major contribution to the Jeep Compass's maximum five-star rating are the effectiveness of its 'safety cage' - 65% of which is constructed of high-strength steel - which ensures very high torsional strength and enhanced occupant protection, plus the availability of more than 70 active and passive safety systems that set the new standard in the Jeep range.

Safety systems fitted as standard on the new Compass range available in Europe include active driving assistance systems, such as Forward Collision Warning-Plus and Lane Sense Departure Warning-Plus, which combine radar and video camera technology to recognise potential collisions and prevent impact by alerting the driver with audible, visual and tactile warnings. Plus, under certain conditions, these systems use the electronic steering (EPS) to assist the driver.

Jeep Compass also features additional safety systems, available either as standard or optional depending on the version, specifically designed to assist with motorway driving. Among these is Adaptive Cruise Control - which maintains distance from the vehicle ahead and in certain circumstances, can bring the vehicle to a full stop without driver intervention; and Blind-spot Monitoring (available in the parking pack), which aids the driver when changing lane and notifies of vehicles in their blind spot via illuminated icons on the side-view mirror and with a driver-selected audible chime. The safety equipment offering available on new Compass also includes specific systems to assist with parking maneuvers, such as Rear Cross Path detection which notifies drivers backing out of parking spaces of vehicles crossing behind via illuminated icons on the side-view mirror and with a driver-selected audible chime.

All these systems complement the 'five-star' standard safety and security features of the Compass range for the European market that also include six airbags (frontal airbags for the driver and front passenger, side curtain airbags for all rows and side airbags on the front seats) and ESC (electronic stability control) with ERM (electronic rollover mitigation).

This included the iconic Wrangler, the Grand Cherokee -the brand's flagship and the most awarded SUV ever - the Cherokee mid-size SUV faithful to the Jeep tradition and sporting a cutting-edge design and the Renegade small SUV with class-leading off-road capability.
