Fiat Fullback is Title Sponsor in the Motocross MxGP of Great Britain:

  • The new Fullback is the product hero of the official FIM Motocross World Championship MxGP, showcasing in every race all its pluses in terms of configuration, dimensions and engines.
  • The FCA Group's commercial vehicles brand will support the FIM Motocross World Championship MxGPthrough the 2016 season, in its role as Official Partner.
  • Fiat Professional is also Title Sponsor in three of the Championship's main races: Great Britain, Mantua, Italy and Belgium.
  • This partnership is based on values like tenacity and dynamism, which are shared by the sports world and Fiat Professional.

The new Fiat Fullback is Title Sponsor of the MxGP of Great Britain, taking place on the spectacular Matterley Basin circuit in Winchester on 18th and 19th June. The Grand Prix will hence be named "Fullback MxGP of Great Britain" and the visibility of the Fiat Professional brand will be further enhanced, underlining the winning features of this brand, whose range is evolving with a full liner offer, increasingly oriented towards business needs.

Fiat Professional's new pick up is the new "Work Hero", created for the real needs of business customers but able, if needed, to also face the needs of daily life. Fullback boasts boldly sporty proportions, thanks to its forward-leaning cab and reduced front overhang.
The front flourishes an assertively stylish Italian touch, coherent with the Brand's new signature style. It comes with a 2.4 litre turbodiesel common rail engine with two power and torque options: 150 HP (113 kW) with 380 Nm or 180 HP (133 kW) with 430 Nm. It also comes in two types of transmission, six-speed manual or five-speed automatic, and two tractions, two-wheel rear or four-wheel.

The FCA Group's commercial vehicles will support the FIM Motocross World Championship MxGP for the 2016 season as Official Sponsor, and as Title sponsor in two more races - Belgium and Mantua, Italy - in addition to Great Britain. This is a partnership based on values such as passion, tenacity and dynamism, which are shared by both the world of motocross and Fiat Professional-especially in such a crucial year, due to major product novelties and important challenges facing the constantly evolving brand.

Domenico Gostoli, Head of Fiat Professional for the EMEA region, stated: "For our brand, this is more than just a sponsorship. Fullback is the star of our range, and with motocross, we can highlight the sporting soul of the brand and the off-road capabilities of our pick-up".

At each European stage of the Motocross World Championship, Fiat Professional will have an exhibition area where it will be possible to view the entire range. Moreover, the new Fullback is the product hero of the official FIM Motocross World Championship MxGP, showcasing in every race all its pluses in terms of configuration, dimensions and engines. The all-wheel drive can also tackle any terrain, just like a motocross bike. Fiat Professional's pick-up was created to meet the real needs of professional customers, but it also displays outstanding flexibility once work is done, making it suitable for all kinds of uses, in line with Fiat Professional's philosophy.

Fiat Professional has also organised a photo contest, "Motocross and Camper vans", which will enable two lucky winners to get four Paddock passes for the MxGP of France, of Great Britain and of Lombardia (Italy) as well as a "Living Area" pass to live aboard a camper van based on Fiat Ducato, in the same area as the pilots.
The "Motocross and Camper vans" competition is still open, for anyone who would like to be included in the draw to win four Paddock passes and a Living Area pass for the Fullback MXGP of Lombardia (Italy). Learn more at www.fiatcampermxgp.com.

FCA in forefront at “Goodwood Festival of Speed 2016” :

From 23 to 26 June, the English county of West Sussex will host one of the most prestigious events of international motor sports. Making an appearance at the happening will be several rare classic cars of the Alfa Romeo, Abarth and Fiat brands, along with the latest new FCA models, to reassert the eternal link between the icons of the past and the cars currently being produced.

FCA is taking part in the 2016 edition of the famous "Goodwood Festival of Speed" that will take place from 23 to 26 June in the English county of West Sussex. It is considered one of the most important international events dedicated to motor sports. The event, comprising the Hillclimb Race, themed shows and exhibitions of historical and current cars, annually draws a crowd of more than 150,000 fans and collectors from around the world.

Also taking part in the prestigious event are several rare classic Alfa Romeo, Abarth and Fiat vehicles from the FCA Heritage collection, the new structure that coordinates all the company's activities in the world of classic motoring. In particular, the Alfa Romeo brand is displaying models such as the Giulia TI Super (1963), 1750 GT Am (1970), 33 TT 12 (1975) and 33.3-litre Le Mans (1970), all belonging to the Alfa Romeo Historic Museum in Arese named "La macchina del tempo" (information and opening hours on the site www.museoalfaromeo.com). The line-up is completed with the legendary 124 Abarth Rally Gr. 4 (1975) and the Fiat S 61 Corsa (1908).

The classic cars will be on display at the Brooklands Paddock, and some of them will face the main attraction of the Festival of Speed, the "mixed-fast" track of the Goodwood Hillclimb. The track almost 2-kilometres long begins with a tree-lined road going through the southern corner of the Goodwood Estate, to then turn decisively in front of the Goodwood House before climbing up a fraught and narrow road enclosed by stone walls and thick forests heading toward the racetrack, which dominates on the top of the majestic South Downs. It should be noted that the difference in track height from start to finish is nearly 100 metres, and it is particularly technical and difficult, to the point of putting a strain on the skills of concentration and speed of the best drivers in the world.

Finally, these rare vehicles will be accompanied by the latest new FCA models, confirming that eternal link between the icons of the past and the vehicles currently produced by the group. On hand to represent Alfa Romeo will be the 4C Spider supercar, the brand's modern icon, and the new Giulietta and Mito which have recently been refreshed and now display a strong family feeling with the new Giulia. It is precisely the latter that will be the undisputed star of the English event - in the Super and Quadrifoglio versions - which not only makes the brand's most authentic statement, but is also a symbol of Italian technological excellence and styling.

The English event is also the perfect opportunity to get a close-up look at the latest Abarth products, ranging from the new Abarth 124 spider, a genuine roadster that guarantees all the excitement and pleasure of driving a high performance car developed by the Abarth Racing Team, to the new Abarth 595 Competizione, the evolution of the Abarth icon that has won over enthusiasts worldwide from 2008 to present. The spotlight is also trained on the new Abarth 124 Rally, a concentrate of pure technology and performance resulting from the Abarth Racing Team's experience to bring the brand back to the most glorious and demanding rally races.

A special mention goes to the fully immersive experience based on Virtual Reality technology that will allow the guests of the brand's stand to uncover every single detail of the new Abarth 124 spider. By using a dedicated tool and aided by latest generation technologies, users will be able to move around the car, open its doors, sit inside and press the accelerator pedal to savour the sound of its engine and tailpipes, all immersed in a virtual reality. They will also have the chance to configure the new Abarth 124 spider to their liking and receive the configuration by email should they want to purchase it from any Abarth dealer.

The excitement of driving Abarth cars can be relived through membership of "The Scorpionship", the only official community dedicated to Abarth owners, collectors, club-members and enthusiasts. Registration on the scorpionship.abarth.com website brings with it a series of major advantages, promotions and opportunities, also in relation to racing events and exclusive invitations to encounters for Abarth fans.

A short description of the classic cars presented to the public at the "Goodwood Festival of Speed 2016" follows.

Alfa Romeo Giulia TI Super (1963)

The revolutionary and groundbreaking Giulia saloon debuted in 1962. The advertising claim terms it "designed by the wind" was inspired by the Giulia's outstanding drag coefficient of 0.34, a value which would still be competitive on today's market. This sports saloon became the backbone of Alfa Romeo's line-up and depicts the production link between the company's Portello and Arese plants.
The Giulia was the first mass-produced car with a five-speed transmission and one of the first with a differentiated body structure: in the event of a collision the passenger compartment held its shape, ensuring greater passenger safety. The Giulia's 1600 four-cylinder engine had a crankcase and cylinder head made of aluminium rather than cast iron, was essentially derived from the Giulia "milletrè" (launched in 1954) and was an extremely sophisticated and high-performance engine with long durability. The exceptional dynamics and design features of the Giulia, in its various guises, garnered incredible results in races. The Giulia TI Super, launched in 1963 (112 HP and 190 km/h), is the rarest and most prestigious Giulia saloon. Only 501 of this ready-to-race version were produced, almost all of them in Biancospino White, with the Quadrifoglio cloverleaf emblem on the side panels and boot and with the bodywork streamlined to further improve its already excellent performance. The TI Super nurtured a generation of racing drivers who eventually graduated to higher formulas, having put themselves in the spotlight with victories and rankings achieved behind the wheel of the Alfa Romeo saloon. The Giulia TI Super is particularly suited to road races, as it proved by memorably winning its category in the 1963 Tour de France Auto, one of its greatest successes. Over a million units had been built by the time the Giulia series reached the end of its long production run.

Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Am (1970)

Four round headlights, a raised and aggressive profile and prominent wheel arches are the features that recall the technologically advanced spirit of the "Alfa Giulia GTA" series. The name GT Am (where "Am" stands for "America") refers to the version sold on the North American market since Alfa Romeo used the 1750 GTV version with injection as its homologation model in the United States. With only 40 units built, the GT Am was fuelled by Spica or Lucas mechanical injection that unleashed up to 220 HP of power at 7200 rpm from its 2-litre engine. Steel plate was chosen for its bodywork, but a considerable reduction in weight of 150 kg out of the total 900 kg was however achieved by using plastic side and rear panels. This solution offered Autodelta the chance to reach spectacular results. In 1970 it won the European Touring Car Championship with the Dutchman Toine Hezemans, and in the following year it placed first in the manufacturers category. Outstanding drivers like Hezemans, Andrea de Adamich, Carlo Facetti and Nino Vaccarella were able to develop the car's full potential - which could deliver up to 240 HP at 7500 rpm and whiz along at 230 km/h - and even challenged the 3-litre BMW CSL, the Ford Capri and the 5-litre Chevrolet. Three Alfa Romeo GT Ams lined up behind a 3-litre BMW Alpina to place second, third and fourth at the 1970 Spa 24 Hours. It was a golden age in motor racing for Alfa Romeo.

Alfa Romeo 33 TT 12 (1975)

The 33 TT 12 appeared on 5 May 1973 at the "1000 km of Spa-Francorchamps", when the World Sportscar Championship was experiencing a time of great popularity and was a ground for major car makers to prove their worth (including Alfa Romeo with the prolific "33" family). The number "33" had been introduced in 1967 and has by now become a legend. The letters "TT" stood for "Telaio Tubolare" (tubular chassis), derived from its predecessor the "33 TT3" with a V8 engine, while "12" was the number of cylinders of the unprecedented three-litre boxer engine capable of delivering in excess of 500 HP and a speed of 330 km/h. The mechanical innovations were complemented by an unusual, yet unmistakable aerodynamic body with two side fins and a very obvious air intake "periscope".
The year of its appearance, 1973, was also dedicated to developing the new Sport Prototype. The 33 TT 12 started reaping its first wins one year later, in 1974. The big wins came in 1975: the best drivers of the day dominated seven of the eight races on the calendar and won the coveted World Championship title, Alfa Romeo's fourth. The "heroes" of the 33 TT 12 were Andretti, Bell, Brambilla, Ickx, Lafitte, Mass, Merzario, Pescarolo, Scheckter, Stommellen and Vaccarella.

33/3-litre Le Mans (1970)

The 33/3-litre with six-speed gearbox is the development of the previous "2-litre" version. It was fitted out with a 2998 cc, 8-cylinder "V" engine with 4 valves and indirect injection and delivered 400 HP at 8000 rpm. The monocoque bodyshell chassis was formed by aluminium and titanium panels with a wheelbase practically the same as the 33/2. Its top speed was 330 km/h, and it was the 1971 version that collected the highest number of wins, including the one at the Targa Florio with Vaccarella and Hezemans.

124 Abarth Rally Gr. 4 (1975)

Compared to the Fiat 124 Sport Spider from which it was derived, Fiat 124 Abarth Rally Gr. 4 of 1975 has a more powerful engine, is lighter in weight owing to the roof and bonnets made of fibreglass and its aluminium doors, is appreciably stronger both structurally and mechanically, and was given MacPherson independent suspension at the rear axle plus new parts specifically for sports use, such as lightweight alloy rims, roll bar, fixed hard top and bucket seats.
After being properly tuned at the Abarth racing department, the car made its début during the 1972 sports season when the "Fiat Racing Team" officially took the field, and it became the Group's leading car in the competitions until 1975, when it was replaced by the 131 Abarth Rally the following year. Fitted with a 200 HP 1,756 cc engine, this car reaches a top speed of 170 km/h, depending on the gearbox ratio, and it claimed two victories at the European Rally Championship (in 1972 and 1975), grabbing second place in the manufacturer's championship title for four seasons in a row, from 1972 to 1975.
Maurizio Verini will also be driving the car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It was with this car - which still bears his name on the side panels - that he won the 1975 European Championship.

Fiat S 61 Corsa (1908)

The S 61 Corsa is the sports derivation - prepared for the North American market - of the grand touring car by the same name built by Fiat, and was capable of topping the respectable speed for the day of 150 km/h. Provided with a lighter frame and a 10-litre four-cylinder engine with overhead valves, the car competed in a large number of races in the U.S. between 1908 and 1912 and clinched illustrious wins. They included first and third place at the American Grand Prix in Savannah, Georgia in 1908, won respectively by Louis Wagner and Felice Nazzaro; third place at the Indianapolis 500 in 1911; the victory at the Santa Monica circuit in 1912 (with Ted Tedzlaff behind the wheel) and that of the American Grand Prix in Milwaukee, won by Caleb Bragg.

The New Fiat Professional Communication Campaign Kicks Off:

  • The new range is the star of a modular communication platform inspired by the values of the brand and its vehicles with a clear and direct message: work never stops.
  • Multi-subject TV advertisement in which the working world is seen as a non-stop race.
  • Fiat Professional is by the side of professionals who successfully complete their missions day by day with pride.
  • Preview of the TV advertisement on the www.fiatprofessional.com website.

The new communication campaign dedicated to the Fiat Professional range kicks off today with important product news, a novel, even more customer-oriented approach - as can be inferred from the claim "A Pro Like You" - and the determination to open new roads on the global marketplace.
In particular, the multi-channel TV advertisement is based on a very intriguing idea, developed by the Leo Burnett advertising agency, i.e. that the working world is a non-stop relay race in which everyone is called to do their part: a relentless race that the new Fiat Professional range is ready to support all out.

The modular communication platform features a range advertisement for the first time: Ducato, Doblò, New Fiorino, Talento and Fullback will pass the baton from one activity to the next, from dawn to late at night, to express the concept that the working world never stops. The same format is found in the advertisement of the New Fiorino and of Talento, which shows the vehicles in action, in each in their own specific working environment.

At the end of the commercial comes the claim for Italy, which translates as "New Fiat Professional range, built to team up with you, 24 hours a day" and is an adaptation of the international version that says "Built to work 24/7".

Finally, great relevance was dedicated to the digital dimension, as demonstrated by the world preview of the TV advert on the www.fiatprofessional.com global website and on the websites of major European countries - Italy, the UK, Germany and Austria - at the same time. A countdown to the virtual event, named #FiatPROud Day, started on the home page of the concerned Fiat Professional websites a few days before.

Viewers can simply click on the active elements of the model that appears in the images on the web version of the video to see more information. They will be directed to the specific page of the selected vehicle on the Fiat Professional websites. According to the launch dates of the single models, these sections will be gradually filled with material and information, such as technical information, comparisons, photo galleries and - for Fullback - videos. From the model pages, viewers can also access the configurators, download the brochures and book test drives at a dealership.

Straight after the web preview, the new video advertisement will be available on the official Fiat Professional social network profiles on Facebook and Youtube.

Fiat 500 Riva, “The Smallest Yacht in the world”, symbol of outstanding Italian beauty:

  • The new 500 exclusive special series can now be ordered from all Fiat dealerships.
  • Created from the meeting of two absolute icons in the motoring and nautical worlds.
  • Available as a sedan and a cabriolet, the car stands out for its unique appearance and premium materials by Riva.
  • The dashboard is made of real mahogany with maple inlays, the same woods used on Riva yachts.
  • Exclusive details, extensive standard equipment and a complete engines line-up.
  • On the main European markets, the first 500 cars will sport a numbered limited edition badge which can be personalised by the customer.
  • For specific details and prices, visit the local press sites.

The Fiat 500, launched in 1957, strongly contributed to motorising Italy and quickly become a cult model of which over four million would be sold. Those were the years of the Dolce Vita, during which the country was rapidly evolving and restarting with dynamic vigour and enthusiasm. The legendary 500 went beyond meeting the growing need to make mobility accessible and expressed the deep-seated zest for life of an entire generation. The same expression of vitality was projected in the same period by Aquarama, the Riva speedboat synonymous with elegance and perfection. An authentic status symbol, made of premium quality materials, meticulously executed detailing and maximum craft expertise.

As of today, the new 500 Riva can be ordered at all Fiat dealerships (for specific details and prices, visit the local press sites). The exclusive limited series stands out for its unique appearance and refined details, having been created with the partnership of Riva, a legendary brand in the nautical world, synonymous with elegance and Italian taste. Style is expressed by the dashboard, for instance: the gear knob is carved from solid mahogany and the dashboard, also made of mahogany, has maple inlays. These superior woods used to make the Riva yachts and the privilege of premium cars are re-interpreted on 500 through the combination of sophisticated technology and expert crafting.

The iconic Fiat blends with the timeless allure of Riva, to produce a car that combines the style and design features of both brands.
Two absolute legends in the world of cars and of boats meet to create a new desirable object, which symbolises outstanding Italian beauty.

Fiat 500 Riva is also convertible: this version expresses an unmistakable style made of precious wood and dedication to details to turn any trip into an exclusive cruise.

A car born at sea to seduce the city

The target of the new 500 Riva are motorists seeking on dry land the same exclusivity of Aquariva Super yacht - the current Riva icon - and the accessibility that has made the 500 an icon: quality materials and a unique style to experience the emotions of a cruise on everyday city streets.
The "Sera Blue" bodywork, an exclusive colour for this limited special series, is one of the most appreciated of the palette offered for Aquariva Super, the Italian shipyard's emblematic yacht and successor to the legendary Aquarama.
The convertible version boasts a new blue top, created exclusively for this version, while the black of the sedan's panoramic roof makes it particularly elegant.

Unique details embellish the livery: the mirror caps are chrome-plated, as are the handles and the bonnet trim which emphasises the streamline style of the bonnet, in perfect harmony with Riva boats. Furthermore, a double aquamarine line running along the belt line enhances the soft profile of the 500 and recalls the beautiful line of a yacht. Lastly, the car feature brand new and exclusive 16" 20-spoke light alloy rims with a dedicated blue finish, designed particularly for this series. Not by chance, the special series really carries the Riva name: it is the only 500 to give way on the bonnet to the logo of the nautical legend and the name is spelt out on the wheel arch, on the wooden insert on the side panel and on the dashboard.

Emotions and comfort on-board

Inside, the central dashboard, in hand-painted mahogany with maple inlay work, offers the occupants the luxurious warmth of life on-board, as emphasised by the Riva logo. An innovative engineering process was implemented to make the dashboard: the wood is applied onto an ultralight carbon shell to ensure stability, flexibility and perfect strength over time. The maple inlays are inserted by hand making each creation truly unique. Wood - the most natural of materials - meets state-of-the-art technology for a result of absolute excellence, just like on Riva yachts: the perfect combination of ultimate technology and expert craftsmanship.
The door sills and gear lever knob carved from a solid piece of wood also made of mahogany, while for the seats an exclusive ivory leather created by Poltrona Frau® has been selected, with ivory stitching in a different tone on the seat piping. The seat side strips are Sera blue, like the profiles of the seatbelts, also ivory. The colours and materials recall the exclusive ambience of Aquariva Super, ensuring thrills and comfort.
The attention to detail can be seen everywhere, in a coherent and elegant colour palate. The mats are especially created with ivory hems and contrasting "Sera Blue" stitching, as is the boot mat that also features a wood insert with Riva lettering.

A complete range of engines

The new 500 Riva offers a wide range of high-performance engines, contained in terms of consumption and respecting the environment as demonstrated by their Euro6 type-approval.
Such as the tried-and-tested champion of thrift 1.2 Fire with 69 CV, also available with ECO function. This engine fits a smart alternator, a specific aerodynamic pack and new tyres which guarantee low rolling resistance and high resistance to wear. These developments as a whole translate into real savings on running costs and a sustainable environment impact. One number for all: the CO2 emissions total only 99 grams per kilometre. Also petrol are the TwinAir 0.9 cm3 with 85 HP and 105 HP two-cylinder engines which are a real, accessible solution to maximising benefits for the environment and for your pocket.

The 1.3 Multijet 95 HP diesel engine could not be missing from the line-up. Once again, Fiat 500 is the only car in its segment to offer a turbo diesel. The 1.3 Multijet is the pride and joy of FCA motor engineering and ensures great autonomy and low running costs without sacrificing comfort or pleasure to drive. With a power output of 95 HP delivered at 3750 rpm, it is able to reach a maximum speed of 180 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.7 seconds. In addition, the use of a turbocharger with variable geometry enables the engine to deliver high torque at low revs: 170 Nm at 1,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 200 Nm at 1,500 rpm, all to the benefit of flexible running and pleasant driving.
Depending on the engine, there is 5 or 6 speed mechanical transmission or the robotic Dualogic.

Comfort, safety and infotainment

The new special series offers the public an extensive range of equipment. As well as the aesthetic details that make it unique, the Fiat 500 Riva ensures safety thanks to seven airbags, ABS complete with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) Hill Holder, which assists the driver during hill starts, and HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assistance) that helps with emergency braking. Also included as standard are automatic air-conditioning, fog lights, LED day-time lights and a personalised TFT screen with aquamarine background and Riva logo.
In addition, the dashboard incorporates a UconnectTM 7" HD LIVE touchscreen with tablet effect and HD display, the next frontier of infotainment, as standard equipment. This system implements a wide range of functions, including UconnectTM LIVE services as standard, Bluetooth hands-free system, voice recognition and plenty of music options, in addition to FM/AM radio. The driver can connect their multimedia devices via USB or using the 3.5mm auxiliary jack, or stream music from a compatible smartphone using Bluetooth. On request, a digital radio (DAB) and built-in 3D TomTom navigator can also be provided.

BeatsAudioTM system

The new Fiat 500 Riva offers the latest audio experience from Beats by Dr. Dre, the system designed to revolutionise the way in which music can be heard inside the vehicle. On request, the customer can also equip their car with the exclusive BeatsAudioTM system developed in conjunction with Beats by Dr Dre. Specifically, the BeatsAudioTM system boasts a total output of 440 watts and features a digital 8-channel amplifier integrating an advanced equalisation algorithm, which can recreate the entire sound spectrum that an artist experiences during studio recording.
The Beats AudioTM sound system consists of an 8-channel amplifier with 440 watts of power; two dome tweeters installed in the front pillars; two 165 mm midwoofers in the front doors; two full-range 165 mm speakers in the rear side panels; and one 200 mm subwoofer in the spare wheel compartment in the centre of the luggage compartment.
With the TFT screen for the speedometer and driving instruments, the car's dashboard delivers a fully-digital driving experience that nevertheless retains the classic 500 instrument layout, complete with circular cluster and round buttons.

Silver Lion award for Fiat Professional’s ad campaign:

Last week Cannes (France) hosted the International Festival of Creativity, the international event that each year attracts nearly 9000 advertising, design and marketing professionals from 90 countries around the world. The key moment of the week-long event is the award of the Lions Award, celebrating the best of the current year's productions.

In the "Print and Publishing" category, the prestigious Silver Lion went to the "For Those Who Hate Going Twice" campaign for Ducato, the largest and most capacious van in the Fiat Professional range. When we need to move a large amount of things, often we prefer to come up with a way, however bizarre and picturesque, to carry everything in one go, rather than making two trips. Starting from this insight, shared by artisans, builders and small entrepreneurs, the print campaign produced by advertising agency Leo Burnett Germany in three black and white photo ads, using a modern, sophisticated and ironic language, shows three professionals - a gardener, a greengrocer and a decorator - struggling with huge loads to move. An unexpected, surprising way to talk about Ducato's great loading capacity.

Indeed, Fiat Professional Ducato is the brand's best seller, chosen by more than 2.9 million customers over 35 years and six generations. Without considering that more than 600,000 families travel in a Fiat Ducato base motorhome, the Ducato base being the undisputed leader in this sector and a benchmark in the category: over 75% of motorhomes in circulation today have a Ducato base. To keep on playing a leading role in the segment, in 2014 the model was restyled to accommodate the new requirements of customers, offering them more technology, more efficiency and more value. Amid its many strengths, we mention the powerful and efficient engines, now Euro6 compliant with LPEGR and SCR technology, depending on the vehicle's mission, as well as the range of high-tech contents, such as the latest-generation safety and driving assist systems and the new Infotainment system.

Ducato will accompany the remains of the Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati to Krakow:

Yesterday Monsignor Cesare Nosiglia, Archbishop of Turin, received two Ducato vehicles from Fiat Professional Brand. They will be used to carry out a special mission: the peregrination of the relics of the Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati to Krakow, for the World Youth Day scheduled 26 to 31 July.

The ceremony was held at the "Seminario Metropolitano di Torino" at via XX Settembre no. 83, where the Archbishop explained the details of this exceptional activity with the best-selling Fiat Professional vehicle playing a key role. The two vehicles - medium wheelbase, medium roof - were specially prepared with the best safety and functionality solutions to transport the urn and six people from the youth pastoral of the Archdiocese of Turin who will follow the peregrination.

Pointed out by Pope Francis as a model for all young people around the world, the earthly remains of the Blessed Pier Giorgio will arrive in the Polish city after a long journey in the midst of children and young people of 12 dioceses of different European countries, stopping at every place along the way with moments of prayer. The route includes over 20 stops in the following dioceses: Milan, Bolzano, Vienna, Bratislava, Katowice, Wrocław, Szczecin-Kamien, Poznan, Warsaw, Lublin, Sandomierz, Rzeszów and Krakow, where the remains will be housed from 23 to 31 July at the Holy Trinity Basilica.

The initiative of Fiat Professional, supporting the archdiocese of Turin, is part of a broader partnership with FCA engaged in putting on World Youth Day Krakow 2016. The organising committee of the event will be able to rely on a fleet of 75 FCA cars, which will make the work of the volunteers and police simpler. The first Fiat cars, marked with the logo "World Youth Day Krakow 2016", were delivered in February to the Metropolitan Curia of Krakow, in the presence of Poland's highest ecclesiastical authorities, including Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz, and the top management of FCA Poland. FCA has always taken an active part in organising events during past pilgrimages of Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI to Poland. It is a tradition that today repeats itself with the fleet of 75 cars that will be used during both preparations and the days of the event, in the presence of Pope Francis who will be making his first trip to Poland.

4th July: Fiat 500 Celebrates its Anniversary in Capri with Riva:

An original event was staged yesterday on the charming island of Capri to celebrate Fiat 500's 59th anniversary. Launched in Turin precisely on July 4, 1957, the "great little car" became a cult model of which nearly four million would be sold. Fifty years later, in 2007, the new 500 was born: it was a success marketed in over one hundred countries worldwide and with nearly two million on the road. Since 2015, the unmistakeably 500 design has been refreshed and packed with even more technology, engine versions and customisation ideas: it is the development of a brand obtained by refining the elements which have turned it into the masterpiece it is.

This year, all eyes are on 500 Riva, that "invaded" the most famous sites of Capri with its timeless elegance: the countless number of versions and interpretations of 500 never cease to amaze. The newest addition is an exclusive limited number special series which stands out for its unique design ideas and precious details. It was designed in partnership with Riva, the world-famous nautical brand, synonymous with elegance and style. Two absolute legends in the world of cars and of boats meet to create a new desirable object, which symbolises outstanding Italian beauty and is celebrated by extraordinary hosts in a truly magical arena.

500 blends with the timeless allure of Riva, to produce a car that combines the style and design features of both brands. The bodywork sports "Sera Blue" paintwork, an exclusive colour for this limited special series and one of the most appreciated of the palette offered for Aquariva Super, while the accents made of real mahogany with maple inlays, developed implementing a unique and innovative process in the automotive sector and using the same woods used on Riva yachts, make a statement inside.

For this car inspired by the sea to seduce the roads there could be no better backdrop to celebrate its anniversary than the Faraglioni stacks and Piazzetta Umberto I on the delightful island of Capri. The atmosphere was that of the Sixties, a "blast from the past", in which the successor of the legendary 500 is once again the undisputed star of the glamour and elegance for which Italy is famous worldwide.

Ducato, Travelling with Confidence:

As ever, the sixth edition of the best-seller Ducato is the ideal answer for all open-air tourism enthusiasts. The many body variants, the square and regular shape of the loading compartment, the efficient chassis and the car-like driving has made it the first choice chassis for the main European motorhome producers.
Looking back over its history from a technical point of view also means retracing the evolution of motorhome holidaying. Today, the new Euro6 Multijet2 engines are top in class in terms of fuel efficiency and deliver high torque at low rpms, a feature which is highly appreciated by motorhome drivers. The 130, 150 and 180 Multijet2 engines are also available with "Comfort Matic" robotised gearbox for relaxing driving.
Furthermore, in addition to continuous improvements to the vehicle, Ducato is being reconfirmed as the ideal base also for the camper van segment, which is experiencing continual growth.
The brand also offers an array of integrated solutions and dedicated services created with Mopar to travel with confidence.
So, driving a motorhome on a Ducato base means having access to more technological and environment-friendly engines, comfort, a wide range of services and peace of mind.
With Ducato, holidaymakers can enjoy freedom with no worries, direct and exciting contact with nature and the luxury of choosing when to stop: these are all the ingredients of the increasing popularity of the recreational vehicle lifestyle.

Ducato: the only base born to be a motorhome

Thirty-five years ago, Fiat Ducato revolutionised the high-capacity van market with its front-wheel drive, engine power and spacious loading area. And the revolution continued. Today, Ducato is the European best-seller in the large van category (from 2.8 to 4 tonnes) and is the most sold on no fewer than eleven markets. Furthermore, it is the undisputed leader in the motorhome category: approximately three motorhomes out of four in Europe are Ducato-based. Over the past ten years, 500,000 families across Europe have chosen a Ducato-based motorhome.
The various generations of the model have contributed to changing and improving the habits of motorhome users and their holiday experience by providing increasingly more specific answers to each of the many aspects of their lifestyle on-board.
The sixth generation of the model is today the best solution to the requirements of handling, comfort, safety, performance, fuel-efficiency and environment-friendliness.
All the innovations to the engines contribute to consolidating the features of Ducato which have proven to be winning for motorhome owners year after year, specifically its square, box-shaped loading compartment, every centimetre of which can be cleverly exploited to make all the space available for holidays. What is more, Ducato has a small turning circle to facilitate any type of manoeuvre. The compact front end and cab have an extremely contained front overhang to the benefit of handling and optimised available living space.
Another strength of the model is precisely the peerless comfort in the cab and in the day zone for occupants: safe and enjoyable driving, swivelling "Captain Chair" seats, adjustable steering wheel and hydraulic power steering. The exceptionally balanced chassis and specific suspensions ensure safety and dynamic behaviour in all road conditions.
Last but not least, it is packed with active and passive safety devices for travelling with confidence. Finally, Ducato satisfies a fundamental parameter for life on-board: outstanding ergonomics so that all controls are readily at hand and the available services can be easily managed with a smartphone or tablet.
Ducato is packed with the equipment of a vehicle of superior level and state-of-the-art design.
As a whole, the exterior style stems from a cutting-edge "car design" which, teamed with the concept of a genuine light commercial vehicle, conveys a strong sense of dynamism, safety, quality and sturdiness. Consequently, the new Fiat Professional vehicle further develops the concept of "design meets functionality" which has always been a distinguishing feature of this model. Specifically, one of the features is the possibility of customising the styling of the vehicle with a number of solutions: two different front grille colours, skid-plate, headlights with integrated DRL and the 16" alloy wheels.

Safety and infotainment

The Ducato proves to be at the cutting edge also in terms of the range of high-tech contents with next-generation safety and driving assist devices, in addition to a new infotainment system. Equipment includes electronic stability control (ESC), available on request, enhanced with rollover mitigation, to maximise comfort and protect the load from sudden movements, in combination with load adaptive control (LAC), Hill Holder, anti-slip regulation (ASR) and electronic emergency break assist (EBA).,. Driving assist equipment includes Traction + (complete with Hill Descent Control), lane departure warning and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR).
The model offers a wide range of radios with Bluetooth technology and MP3 player. In addition, a 5" touchscreen UconnectTM system is available, as well as reversing camera and built-in satellite navigation system. Last but not least, the whole line-up is available with a decoder for digital audio broadcasting (DAB), as well as traditional analogue.

Engines and transmissions

Technology which characterises the Ducato engines is the best example of the specific work focused on efficiency and eco-friendless. The engines, all Euro6, are provided with Low Pressure EGR technology (LPEGR), which intercepts the exhaust gases after the DPF and returns them to the combustion chamber via a low-pressure circuit. This system has two advantages: it abates NOx emissions by means of a lower combustion temperature and saves fuel by ensuring better efficiency of the turbine.
Furthermore, all the engine in line-up of Ducato are top in class in their power class in terms of fuel efficiency and delivery high torque at low rpms, which is a highly appreciated feature by motorhome drivers. The Multijet2 engine range delivers power from 115 to 180 HP: an offering capable of satisfying the most diverse needs of motorhome producers and end customers.
In detail, the 2-litre 115 Multijet2 is the most economic and eco-friendly of the range, ideal for camper vans. It has 115 HP and 290 Nm of torque. Fuel consumption is reduced by 6 percent with respect to the previous Euro5+ version. It is now available with new six-speed gearbox and a right-hand drive version.
The 2.3-litre 130 Multijet2 engine is the ideal best-seller for medium-sized motorhomes: it is easy to drive in all conditions with a maximum torque of 320 Nm available already at 1800 rpm. It is ideal for mixed use: agile in traffic, brilliant on long hauls. Once again, fuel consumption is reduced by 3 percent with respect to the previous version.
The upgrades made to the 2.3 150 Multijet2 make this engine ideal also for chassis cab or cowl. The maximum torque is reaches 380 Nm, available from 1500 rpm. Also in this case, fuel consumption is reduced by 3 percent with respect to the previous Euro5+ version.
Finally, there is the powerful 2.3 180 Multijet2, ideal for large and heavy motorhomes and for users seeking the highest level of performance. It offers the same levels of torque and power as the previous 3.0 - namely, 180 HP and 400 Nm -, but consumes almost 20% less. This exceptional result is also obtained by means of a series of operations focused on improving the turbocharger aerodynamics, the special steel crankshaft, the reinforced pistons and the larger capacity fuel pump.
Other important news concerns the entire range: a new reinforced alternator available on request which reduces charging time by 10%, and a new dual mass flywheel on 150 and 180 Multijet2, which ensure less vibrations and consequently better driving and travelling comfort.
The robotised "Comfort Matic" transmission is available on all 2300 cm3 engines. In addition to automatic and manual mode, the "Comfort Matic" transmission has "Up" mode, designed to obtain the best performance on the most demanding roads.

Fiat Ducato 4x4 Expedition Camper Van

The world of holidays in the great outdoors is moving in new directions, like the demand for all-wheel drive versions and campervan solutions. The camper van segment today represents over one fourth of the European recreational vehicle market. Also in this case, Ducato is proving to be the most suited vehicle for camper van conversions with its large, regular shaped loading compartment, optimal ratio between overall length and cab length and over 200 available camper van base configurations.
The result is the Van Ducato 4x4 Expedition Show Camper Van introduced at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon last year, an exercise in style which is not for sale. This comfortable, high-performance vehicle is targeted to sporty, adventurous customers who love travelling off the beaten track and want a vehicle which is fast and agile for transfers with a large and comfortable living space at the same time. Built on a Ducato long-wheelbase base with extra overhang and high roof, 4x4 Expedition is made in collaboration with the best partners for interior design, body customisation and four-wheel drives.
On the outside, the Show Camper Van sports a two-colour paint job in two shades of grey, a raised, widened ride and plenty of Ducato Camper customisations, like a front skid-plate and LED DRLs. The outfit is completed by a front winch and raised roof, which is fully equipped for holidays off the beaten track and can be walked on in part, meaning it can be used as a handy outdoor space at over two and a half metres from the ground. Clever technical solutions enhance its versatility and reassert its bold character. The permanent all-wheel drive system with viscous coupling combined with a special raised ride and oversized tyres allows tackling all surfaces safely and confidently.

Innovative services offered by Mopar for tranquil travels

The evolution of Ducato does not only concern technological content: the Ducato based motorhome continuously improves in terms of product, and so do the services which revolve around motorhome holidays. The ability to listen to Customers - which starts in Customer Care and continues in the Fiat Professional workshops - makes it possible to respond efficiently to current needs, but also to anticipate them
In other words, through its partnership with Mopar - the reference brand for accessories, services, Customer Care and genuine spare parts for FCA brands - Fiat Professional is by the side of all customers with comprehensive and novel services. The basic assumption is that purchasing a motorhome means buying a holiday and not just a vehicle. For this reason, the service concept extends from product assistance to caring for customers on holiday with innovative ideas. More specifically, a dedicated extensive network, distributed along the routes most followed by motorhome users, competent and knowledgeable Customer Care dedicated to all motorhome owners and roadside assistance ready to spring into action across Europe and beyond.
Furthermore, there is a wide range of complete services all tailored to the needs of motorhome customers, from the classic Maximum Care Camper extended warranty to more innovative services, like the mobile application "Fiat Ducato Camper Mobile" which also provides tourist information and which has been downloaded by over 80,000 motorhome users. Travelling in a Ducato Motorhome today brings with it the reassurance of having access to over 6,500 Fiat Professional service points, equipped for servicing and repairing Ducato-based motorhomes, of which over 1,800 Fiat Camper are specifically dedicated to motorhomes.
Today, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, users can call the dedicated roadside assistance and Customer Care centre and speak with one of the twenty Brand Ambassadors who have consolidated know-how on motorhome products and are ready to provide answers, in the caller's language, and quickly solve their problems by interfacing and coordinating with other teams within the organisation, if needed.
The twenty Brand Ambassador are constantly trained and updated. They attend the major European sector trade shows to keep abreast and closely follow the world of motorhomes and their users.
Customer Care is increasingly integrated with roadside and workshop assistance: all motorhome end-users can rely on a mobile workshop ready to reach them in no less than 44 different countries. Telephone support provides updates on repair times and methods to the customer and active support to workshops to facilitate troubleshooting and ensure quick delivery of spare parts. These best practices as a whole have cut the average vehicle downtime by one day: overall, the service is extremely useful particularly for holidaymakers travelling abroad.
The service range is truly complete: the Mopar Vehicle Protection offer "Maximum Care Camper" extended warranty is a programme providing servicing coverage for all mechanical and electrical components of Ducato with various time and mileage options, valid all over Europe.

MEC: Mopar Express Care

Ducato's versatility makes it possible to use the vehicle as a mobile workshop too, ready to reach any motorhomes in 44 different countries. MEC, Mopar Express Care, is the authorised care service of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for the brand's vehicles and it supports its customers wherever they may be. In addition to high quality technical support, it offers customers a precious value: time. Maintenance and vehicle repairs can be carried out anywhere: public spaces, companies, homes. Waiting times and car downtimes can be thus reduced, and no time is taken off your holiday. Many services can be performed with the support of Mopar Express: electronic diagnosis and check ups, full car services, scheduled maintenance, check and substitution of filters, brakes, batteries, lamps, oil, air con servicing, tyre service, car window/windscreen repairs and substitutions; passenger compartment sanitation, accessory installations.

Ducato eCamperina

Mopar designed the ideal bicycle for all outdoor holiday lovers: the Ducato eCamperina, a perfect 'tender' for the Ducato based motorhome. Produced by Compagnia Ducale, this is a simple yet technological bike: it is as compact and practical as any foldable bicycle, but it also boasts a last generation pedal assist system. Its electric motor, fuelled by lithium batteries, guarantees up to 50 km runs and the three-speed Shimano Nexus gear makes the Ducato eCamperina an agile bicycle on any terrain. The rear rack is very useful for camping life, and day to day life is made simpler by the rear wheels that make the folded bicycle as compact and easy to carry as a trolley. All these solutions ensure maximum freedom of movement and minimal encumbrance.

  • The Abarth and Alfa Romeo are the stars on the legendary French circuit.
  • Four classic models on show: Abarth 124 Rally Gr.4 (1975), Alfa Romeo Giulia TI Super (1963), Alfa Romeo 1750 GTAm (1970) and Alfa Romeo 33/3 Le Mans (1970).
  • By their side are the new Alfa Romeo Giulia, Alfa Romeo 4C, Abarth 124 spider and Abarth 595.

The eighth edition of the "Le Mans Classic" is an unmissable appointment for enthusiasts and a great opportunity to admire up close the cars that marked this epic race from the 1920s to the 1970s. The event will take place from July 8 to 10 on the legendary Le Mans circuit in France.

For FCA it is a fantastic opportunity to showcase some vintage Abarth and Alfa Romeo cars by the side of their latest models to underline the indissoluble link joining the icons of the past and today's range once again.

In particular, some models picked by FCA Heritage, the new organisation that coordinates all the activities of the corporation on the classic car scene, from its collection will be displayed in the over 250 square metre large exhibition hall, dedicated to Alfa Romeo and Abarth. These are the legendary Abarth 124 Rally Gr.4 (1975), which was recently restored by the technicians of the new Officine Abarth Classiche, and the three valuable Alfa Romeo - Giulia TI Super (1963), 1750 GTAm (1970) and 33/3 Le Mans (1970), from the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese (Milan), dubbed "La Macchina del Tempo" (visit the website at www.museoalfaromeo.com for more information). Alfa Romeo has a particular relationship with the La Sarthe circuit, having won no fewer than four editions in a row of the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans - from 1931 to 1934 - with various versions of the 8C 2300.

These rare cars will be accompanied by the latest FCA models: more in detail, Alfa Romeo will be showcasing Giulia Quadrifoglio, the perfect expression of Alfa Romeo's new paradigm and of the "mechanics of emotions" concept. Incidentally, the new Giulia has recently earned five prestigious Euro NCAP stars scoring 98% in adult occupant protection. This is the highest score ever achieved by a car. Additionally, the public can get close to the 4C and 4C Spider super cars, the icons of the brand, which implement the best racing-derived technology, and the new Giulietta and Mito. The two recently refreshed models display an unmistakable family feeling with Giulia which is reasserted by the new front end with one-of-a-kind grille sporting the legendary trefoil, arguably one of the most famous and recognisable symbols in the automotive world.

The French event is also the perfect opportunity to get a close-up look at the latest Abarth products, such as the new Abarth 124 spider, a genuine roadster that guarantees all the excitement and pleasure of driving a high-performance car developed by Squadra Corse Abarth, and the new Abarth 595 Competizione and Turismo versions, the evolution of the Abarth icon that has won over enthusiasts worldwide from 2008 to present. The spotlight is also trained on the new Abarth 124 Rally, a concentrate of pure technology and performance resulting from the experience of Squadra Corse Abarth to bring the brand back to the most glorious and difficult rally races.

A special mention goes to the totally immersive experience based on Virtual Reality technology allowing guests to discover every single detail of the new Abarth 124 spider. By using a dedicated tool and aided by next-generation technologies, users will be able to move around the car, open its doors, sit inside and press the accelerator pedal to savour the sound of its engine and tailpipes, all immersed in a virtual reality. They will also have the chance to configure the new Abarth 124 spider to their liking and receive the configuration by email should they want to purchase it from any Abarth dealer. Interestingly, the Abarth 124 Virtual Reality Configurator received the prestigious Smau Innovation Award just a few days ago in Turin.

To experience all the excitement that only driving an Abarth can provide there is "The Scorpionship", the only official community dedicated to Abarth owners, collectors, club members and enthusiasts. Registering at scorpionship.abarth.com brings a host of major advantages, promotions and opportunities, also in relation to racing events and exclusive invitations to Abarth fan meetings.

The description of the precious Alfa Romeo and Abarth models presented at "Le Mans Classic 2016" follows.

Alfa Romeo Giulia TI Super (1963)

The Giulia, the car that revolutionised its sector with its modern style, was introduced in 1962. It was "designed by the wind" as the advertisement of the day claimed: it had an aerodynamic penetration coefficient of just 0.34, an exceptional value for its time and an impressive one still today. The Giulia earned its important place in history for more than just aerodynamics; this car fits many state-of-the-art technical solutions, such as five speed transmission as standard equipment and crumple zones, designed to ensure greater safety for occupants. The engine is the famous, sophisticated, reliable and fast twin overheat camshaft four-cylinder 1.6-litre. The qualities of the basic model are enhanced on the TI Super, which was introduced in 1963 (it delivered 112 HP and reached a top speed of 190 km/h). The TI (standing for "Turismo Internazionale", international touring) Super - of which just 501 were made - was driven by a generation of racing drivers who won many titles particularly in road races, such as the first category ranking at the Tour de France Auto in 1963, one of its most important. The Giulia - of which over one million were made, including all trim levels and body variants - is one of the most remarkable Alfa Romeo success stories.

Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Am (1970)

Four round headlights, an aggressive raised profile and prominent wheel arches are the features that recall the technologically advanced spirit of the "Giulia Sprint GTA" series. The name GT Am (where "Am" stands for "America") refers to the version derived from the one sold on the North American market where Alfa Romeo marketed the 1750 GTV version with injection necessary for type-approval in the United States. The GT Am - of which 40 units were made - has Spica or Lucas mechanical injection and its 2-litre engine was capable of unleashing up to 220 HP at 7200 rpm. Steel plate was chosen for its bodywork, but a considerable reduction in weight of 150 kg out of the total 900 kg was achieved by using plastic side and rear panels. With this model Autodelta achieved spectacular results, which culminated in 1970 with the European Touring Car Championship (with the Dutchman Toine Hezemans), and in the following year it placed first in the manufacturers category in the same championship. Outstanding drivers like Hezemans, Andrea de Adamich, Carlo Facetti and Nino Vaccarella were able to develop the full potential of the car - which could deliver up to 240 HP at 7500 rpm and whiz along at 230 km/h.

Alfa Romeo 33/3-litre Le Mans (1970)

The 33/3-litre is one of the multiple evolutions of the Tipo 33 for the World Sportscar Championship over the decades. The car fits a 2.998-litre four-cylinder V8 with four-valves per cylinder and indirect injection capable of delivering 400 HP at 8000 rpm. It has an aluminium and titanium panel chassis and the wheelbase was nearly the same as that of the two-litre version from which it derives. It reaches 330 km/h of top speed and obtained many victories in 1971, including the very famous Targa Florio win with Vaccarella and Hezemans.

124 Abarth Rally Gr.4 (1975)

With respect to the Fiat 124 Sport Spider from which it derives, the Fiat 124 Abarth Rally Gr.4 fits a more powerful engine and is much lighter as a result of its top, fibreglass bonnet and aluminium doors. Turned by Squadra Corse Abarth, the car made its début in the 1972 racing season and continued racing until 1975, when it was replaced by the 131 Abarth Rally in 1976. Fitted with a 1756 litre engine delivering 200 HP of power, this car can reach a top speed of 170 km/h according to the final drive ratio. It won the European Rally Championship twice (in 1972 and 1975) and ranked second in the manufacturers championship for four consecutive seasons (from 1972 to 1975). This 124 Abarth Gr.4 belongs to Abarth Classiche, the department opened on November 18 at Officine Abarth di Torino dedicated to certifying and restoring standard and racing Abarth classic cars for their owners.

The FCA brand dedicated to commercial vehicles is reasserting its innovative, customer-oriented approach on social media as well as on the road: the new official Twitter profile goes live using the new Twitter Ads emoji keyword targeting function for the first time in the world. The occasion was picked to promote the new Fiat Professional range video, which one month after its digital launch has garnered one million total views across Europe.

The new Twitter account @FiatProOfficial was launched by Fiat Professional on Sunday, July 24. One of the first leaders in their respective core business to open a profile entirely dedicated to the world of commercial vehicles, the brand has chosen to turn to the popular social network to reach an increasingly more knowledgeable customer base. This was the occasion to share the "Work never stops" video which illustrates all the models of Europe's best-selling commercial vehicle range and reasserts its strong positioning by the side of professionals.

For the communication campaign Fiat Professional used the new Twitter Ads emoji keyword targeting function for the first time in the world. The function is a tool for targeting messages to users by employing specific emojis. More specifically, Fiat Professional picked icons which identify working, commercial vehicles and the ideal leisure activities of professionals: work vehicles that hint to the models of the range, tools like a hammer or a wrench making reference to specific trades, a muscular arm suggesting strength and the pride of a job well done experienced by the professionals to whom the brand is targeted and a light bulb, which is the universal symbol of ingenuity. The latter also pays homage to the latest addition to the Fiat Professional line-up: the "ingenious" Talento. There is also an alarm clock, that makes reference to the beginning and end of the "Work never stops" video that reached everyone who used one of the chosen emojis in their tweets.

The range video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T0bYUlz-is) shared with users during the 24 hours of programming showed Ducato, Doblò, New Fiorino, Talento and Fullback passing the baton in an ideal relay race from one activity to the next each in their specific fields from daybreak (the alarm clock in the foreground is set to 5 a.m.) until late at night of a working day that ends at 5 a.m. of the day after, implying a never-ending cycle and reasserting the concept that work never stops.

The launch date - July 24 - was not picked by chance: the campaign of the new Fiat Professional range pivoting on the "Work never stops, built to work 24/7" concept chose this day to ideally celebrate work that goes on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and obviously its protagonists, the professionals who successfully complete their daily missions and take pride in their jobs, for whom Fiat Professional is presenting important new products and an even more customer-oriented approach summed up by the claim "A Pro Like You".

Fiat Professional chose other Twitter functions in addition to emoji targeting to expand the potential audience of the communication, like Promoted Trend with the hashtag #TwentyfourSeven, to which the First View option was associated. In particular, the combination of these two functions significantly increased the reach of the campaign and ensured its exclusive positioning: all Twitter users when they first connected to the app or the website were reached by the range video, while the Promoted Trend appeared all day for 24 hours at the top of the Trends list.

This 2016 is the pivotal year in which the brand's "full liner" range is being revealed in all its glory. The brand is been continuously evolving and is prepared to tackle the crucial challenges with new products, new models and new targeted answers specific for increasingly demanding customers. The approach is one of professionals addressing other professionals, with innovative and targeted business solutions and an increasingly extensive range. The launch of the new @FiatProOfficial Twitter account fits well in this context (https://twitter.com/FiatProOfficial).

Fiat Professional can boast over one hundred years of history and a one-of-a-kind baggage of experience in the world of commercial vehicles. Skills have been consolidated over time with unremitting enthusiasm to take on challenges and constantly develop without fearing change to boldly open new roads. The new strategies and new models launched this year, like Fullback, Talento and Fiorino, are playing a fundamental role in this development and in the direction of increasingly more global growth.

  • Under the spotlight, the sixth edition of the Ducato, the ideal bestseller for fans of tourism en plein air.
  • The public will be able to admire four sample vehicles that display the high quality of the range, its equipment and innovative technology.
  • The evolution also affects the services offered by Mopar for trips that continue to provide greater peace of mind.
  • The stand will also host the Fullback and the Talento, feather in the cap of a brand that is now a true full liner.

From 10 to 18 September, the city of Parma will host the Camper Exhibition 2016, the most important fair in Italy and the second most significant in Europe, dedicated to the world of caravanning, which will witness the participation of Fiat Professional - Pavilion no. 3, Stand A048 - confident lead of the industry of transformed vehicles for leisure time. An international showcase, hosted in the innovative exhibition district of Parma, each year, the Exhibition becomes a meeting place for producer companies and operators, but also for many enthusiasts and others who simply harbour a certain curiosity about open air tourism. The spotlights will be shining on the Fullback pick-up, the versatile Talento (category 2P, LCV) and the sixth generation of the Ducato.

Indeed the bestseller of Fiat Professional remains the ideal response for fans of tourism en plein air. The long list of bodywork options, the square and regular shape of the loading compartment, the efficient chassis and the car-like driving style have made the Ducato camper base the go-to choice for the main European producers of motorhomes.

Looking back over its history from a technical point of view also means retracing the evolution of motorhome holidaying. Today, the new Euro 6 Multijet2 engines are best in their power class in terms of fuel efficiency and deliver high torque at low rpms, an essential feature for the motorhome driver. The 130, 150 and 180 Multijet2 engines are also available with "Comfort Matic" robotised gearbox for a relaxing driving style. In addition to the continuous improvements being made to the Ducato, which is also being reconfirmed as the ideal base for the camper Van segment, the brand also offers an array of integrated solutions and dedicated services created with Mopar, to ensure carefree travels. So, driving a Ducato-based motorhome means having access to more technological and environment-friendly engines, comfort, a wide range of services and peace of mind.

With Ducato, holidaymakers can relish the freedom of driving trouble-free, direct and exciting contact with nature and the luxury of choosing when and where to enjoy a stopover: these are all the ingredients of the lifestyle offered by recreational vehicles.

The Fiat Professional stand: Ducato

Different types of Ducato will be exhibited on the stand, each of which can be transformed into a different type of camper, and there will also be examples of the new Fullback and the Talento, proof of the completeness of the Fiat Professional range, now more than ever a "Full liner" brand.

In detail, the public will be able to admire an example of the 44 quintal Ducato Cab Special L3H1, fitted with 150 HP 2.3 Multijet engine and manual, 6-gear gearbox. It features a wide range of equipment, for safe, comfortable holidays en plein air: DRL LED daytime running lights, fog lights, electric wing mirrors with demister, 16" alloy wheels, grey metallic paintwork with matching bumpers, black skid-plate to match the rims of the headlights and the front radiator grille, a wheel track increased by 1.98 metres. Inside, Techno dashboard, leather steering wheel with built-in commands, leather gear knob, "Captain Chair" swivel chairs and cup holders. Passengers will be able to benefit from the automatic climate control system, the convenience of the Speed Limiter and Cruise Control, the fuel tank, which is now 125 litres larger, and the fittings designed to host the rear video camera. In the cab, there is a USB port with 12V recharge and a radio with Bluetooth. The antenna is built into the external rear-view mirror. The vehicle is also well-equipped in terms of safety, presenting airbags on the driver's and passenger's seats, ESC with ABS and EBD; LAC (Load Adaptive Control, the system that recognises the load), HBA, Roll-over mitigation and Hill Holder. The same equipment is provided in the 42.5 quintal L2H1 Ducato Cab Special. Under the bonnet, the 130 HP 2.3 Multijet2 engine with six-speed manual transmission. The 44 quintal Ducato driving cab features a "Comfort Matic" robotised gearbox with 6 gears, paired with a 150 HP 2.3 Multijet2 engine. The more powerful engine, the 180HP 2.3 Multijet2, can be found on the 44 quintal cowl vehicle.

Fullback

The Fullback - in silver grey - is a double cab, equipped with a 2.4-litre common rail turbo diesel engine that develops 180 HP and 430 rpms of torque power. This engine has a lightweight aluminium engine block and a variable geometry turbocharger with intercooler that ensures maximum efficiency. It is combined with a manual 6-gear gearbox and four wheel drive, the vehicle's strong point and the ideal solution for those who want to be able to move around safely and easily, even in the most extenuating conditions. The new pick-up comes with an electronic selector that enables four-wheel drive to be activated in "part time" or "full time" modality.

There are four driving modalities: one 2WD modality for a more relaxed driving style and three 4WD modalities, each of which is suitable for a different driving style and terrain, from slippery roads to extreme off-road routes. The interior of the vehicle on display reflects both the full functionality of a work vehicle, but also the comfort and elegance of a high-end SUV. The dashboard is basic, but carefully-designed: it has a solid, ergonomic feel, but still features gratifying details such as the chromed panels on the instrument panel and steering wheel, which hosts the commands for the radio. The upholstery is in black leather, with heater and electrical adjustment for the driver's seat. The Fullback features a particularly varied range of accessories, from all points of view. For safety, standard accessories include ABS with EBD, TSA (Trailer Stability Assist - a system which boosts stability during towing), LDW (Lane Departure Warning), seven Airbags (frontal, lateral, curtain and driver's knees) and cruise control with adjustable speed limiter. Not forgetting Bi-Xenon headlights and front fog lights with Led daytime running lights (DRL). The interior fittings, purpose-designed to provide comfort and technology, include leather seats, a multi-information display panel with adjustable instrument lighting, leather steering wheel and gear stick, dual zone automatic climate control, electronic four wheel drive management system, central locking with dual remote control. The infotainment equipment includes a DAB CD/mp3 Radio with 6" touchscreen, Bluetooth and USB port. The exterior is characterised by 17" alloy wheels, lateral tubular Overfender platforms, dark glass in contrast with the chromed details on the handles and the backs of the mirrors. Furthermore, Fullback is a valid alternative base on which to arrange a living pod and is ready to be turned into an innovative, compact camper van. Once again, the owner can benefit from the two-fold value of a commercial vehicle and recreational vehicle rolled into one.

Talento

The Talento on display at the Exhibition in Parma has a long wheelbase and a low roof: it is a shuttle version specifically designed as a high-end passenger vehicle and, thanks to its six leather seats, the second row of which are swivel chairs, and the floor with rail and ABS coverings, it fully displays all the versatility of this new vehicle. It is fitted out by Focaccia, the industry's leading company. The Talento is also suitable to be transformed into a recreational vehicle and targets a new type of clientele seeking a vehicle that can be used for carrying passengers and loads on weekdays, but which turns into a recreational vehicle at weekends or on holiday.

Overall, it is unique due to its outstanding versatility and ability to adapt to the most diverse needs of customers. Its highly symbolic name evokes the innate qualities of the vehicle and the concept of value by making reference to the name of an ancient coin as in the best Fiat Professional tradition. In terms of its exterior, the Talento is compact and well-proportioned: the windscreen extended forwards connects perfectly with the short bonnet to create a front piece that is both impressive and dynamic at the same time. The horizontal design, with its clean, bold forms, is fully in line with the style of the new Fiat Professional range and increases the width and loading capacity of the vehicle, as demonstrated by the boxy rear compartment, while providing a sensation of dynamism and stability. Some of the noteworthy features of the new model include: the front bumper in three variants (black, semi-painted or painted in the body colour); the front grille and the bars in black or metallic silver; and the horizontal bar of the front grille painted in metallic silver. The exclusive LED daytime running lights can also be incorporated in the bumpers on request. The look of the Talento is completed by its 16" wheel trims and 17" alloy wheels (grey or matt black with diamond coloured finishes).

The interior of the Talento is designed to provide maximum comfort and ergonomic functionality, as demonstrated by the shaped seats which ensure all passenger can sit comfortably and by the perfect location of both steering wheel and commands, making everyday driving more relaxing and safe.

Elegance and attention to detail are further emphasised by the three internal settings, which are available, depending on the trim levels in: "Carbon Black", with black dashboard and fabric; "Techno Silver", with black dashboard and instrument panel painted in silver; and lastly "Living Brown" with black/brown dashboard and glossy black trim with chrome-plated details.

The Talento is available in two different wheelbase configurations, two total weights (1 or 1.2 tonnes) and four engine types: 95 HP Multijet 1.6 turbo, 120 HP Multijet 1.6 turbo, Ecojet S&S 1.6 Twin Turbo with 125 HP and 320 rpms and Ecojet S&S 1.6 Twin Turbo with 145 HP and 340 rpms.

Fiat Ducato: the only base created to be a motorhome

Thirty-five years ago, Fiat Ducato revolutionised the high-capacity van market with its front-wheel drive, engine power and spacious loading area. And the revolution continued. Today, Ducato is the European best-seller in the large van category (from 2.8 to 4 tonnes) and is the most popular vehicle with the highest sales in no fewer than eleven markets. Furthermore, it is the undisputed leader in the motorhome category: approximately three motorhomes out of four in Europe are Ducato-based. Over the last ten years, 500,000 families in Europe have chosen a Ducato-based motorhome.

The various generations of the model developed have contributed to changing and improving the habits of motorhome users and their holiday experience by providing increasingly more specific solutions for each of the many aspects of their lifestyle on-board.

Another strength of the model is precisely the peerless comfort in the cab and in the day zone for occupants: safe and enjoyable driving, swivel "Captain Chair" style seats, adjustable steering wheel and hydraulic power steering. The exceptionally balanced chassis and specific suspensions ensure safety and dynamic behaviour in all road conditions. Last but not least, it is packed with active and passive safety devices for safe, reliable travels.

Finally, Ducato satisfies a fundamental parameter for life on-board: outstanding ergonomics, ensuring that all controls are readily at hand and the available services can be easily managed with a smartphone or tablet. Ducato is packed with the equipment of a vehicle of superior level and state-of-the-art design. As a whole, the new exterior style stems from a cutting-edge "car design" which, teamed with the concept of a genuine light commercial vehicle, conveys a strong sense of dynamism, safety, quality and sturdiness. Consequently, the new Fiat Professional vehicle further develops the concept of "design meets functionality" which has always been a distinguishing feature of this model. Specifically, one outstanding new feature is the possibility of customising the styling of the vehicle with a number of solutions: two different front grille colours, skid-plate embellishing the underside of the bumper, headlights with integrated DRL and the 16" light alloy rims.

Safety and infotainment

The Ducato proves to be at the cutting edge also in terms of the range of high-tech contents with next-generation safety and driving assist devices, in addition to a new infotainment system. For instance, all versions are supplied, on request, with electronic stability control (ESC) enhanced with rollover mitigation, to maximise comfort and protect the vehicle from sudden movements, in combination with load adaptive control (LAC), Hill Holder, anti-slip regulation (ASR) and electronic emergency break assist (EBA). Driving assist equipment includes Traction + (complete with Hill Descent Control system), lane departure warning and road sign recognition (TSR).

The model offers a wide range of radios with Bluetooth technology and MP3 player. In addition, a 5" touchscreen UconnectTM system is available, as well as a reversing camera and built-in satellite navigation system. Last but not least, the whole line-up is available with a decoder for digital audio broadcasting (DAB), as well as traditional analogue.

Engines and transmissions

The technology which characterises the Ducato engines is the best example of the specific work carried out to improve efficiency and eco-friendless. Indeed, the engines, all Euro6, are provided with Low Pressure EGR technology (LPERG), which intercepts the exhaust gases after the DPF and returns them to the combustion chamber via a low pressure circuit. This system has two advantages: it abates NOx emissions by means of a lower combustion temperature and saves fuel by ensuring better efficiency of the turbine.

Furthermore, all the engines in the Ducato line-up are best in their power class in terms of fuel efficiency and deliver high torque at low rpms, which is an essential feature for motorhome drivers. The Multijet2 engine range delivers power from 115 to 180 HP: an offering capable of satisfying the most diverse needs of motorhome manufacturers and users.

In detail, the 2-litre 115 Multijet2 is the cheapest, most eco-friendly of the range, ideal for camper vans. It has 115 HP and a torque power of 290 rpms and compared with the previous Euro5+, it consumes 6 per cent less. Today it is available with a new 6-gear transmission, and can also be provided with the driving seat on the right.

The 2.3-litre 130 Multijet2 engine is the ideal best-seller for medium-sized motorhomes: it is easy to drive in all conditions with a maximum torque of 320 Nm available as early as at 1800 rpms. It is ideal for mixed use: agile in traffic, brilliant on long hauls. Once again, fuel consumption is reduced by 3 percent compared with the previous version.

The improvements made to the 150 HP 2.3 Multijet2 engine make it suitable for both cab and full type motorhomes. Indeed, its maximum torque reaches 380 Nm, and can be reached at 1500 rpms. Here too, fuel consumption is reduced by 3 percent with respect to the previous Euro5+ version.

Finally, there is the powerful 2.3 180 Multijet2, ideal for large and heavy motorhomes and for users seeking the highest level of performance. It offers the same levels of torque and power as the previous 3.0 - namely, 180 HP and 400 Nm -, but consumes approximately 20% less. This exceptional result is also achieved by means of a series of operations focused on improving the turbocharger aerodynamics, the special steel crankshaft, the reinforced pistons and the larger capacity fuel pump. Other important news concerns the entire range: a new reinforced alternator, available on request, which slashes battery recharging time by 10%, and, on the 150 and 180 Multijet2 engines, a new dual mass flywheel that ensures lesser vibrations and so a better level of driving and travelling comfort.

The robotised "Comfort Matic" transmission is available on all 2300 cm3 engines. In addition to automatic and manual modes, the "Comfort Matic" transmission also offers the "Automatic Up" mode, designed to obtain the best performance on the most demanding roads.

Innovative services by Mopar for carefree trips

The evolution of Ducato not only concerns technological content: Ducato motorhomes are continuously progressing in terms of product, and similarly, so are the many services that revolve around the motorhome holiday. The ability to listen to Customers - which starts in the Customer Care Centre and continues in the Fiat Professional workshops - indeed not only makes it possible to respond efficiently to current needs, but also to anticipate them.

In practice, by means of a partnership with Mopar, the reference brand for accessories, services, Customer Care and genuine spare parts for FCA brands, Fiat Professional is able to support all its customers with comprehensive, novel services. The basic assumption is that purchasing a motorhome means buying a holiday and not just a vehicle. For this reason, the service concept extends from product assistance to caring for customers on holiday with innovative ideas. More specifically, an extensive, dedicated network, spread out along the routes most often travelled by motorhome users; a competent and knowledgeable Customer Care Centre dedicated to all motorhome owners and roadside assistance ready to spring into action across Europe and beyond.

There is also a full range of services specifically designed to meet the requirements of the motorhome customer, from the extension of the Fiat Camper warranty, to more innovative services such as the Fiat Ducato Camper Mobile application, to date downloaded by over 80,000 motorhome fans, also providing tourist information, and a dedicated website and Facebook page. Today, those who travel in a Ducato Motorhome can be sure of relying on over 6,500 Fiat Professional assistance points equipped to maintain and repair Ducato-based campers, including over dedicated 1,800 Fiat Camper points.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the motorhome owner can call the dedicated Customer Care and roadside assistance service, accessing one of the twenty Brand Ambassadors with consolidated know-how about the motorhome product, ready to respond in his language and most of all, to resolve his problem as quickly as possible, by liaising between and coordinating the company departments involved.

The twenty Brand Ambassadors are constantly trained and updated. They attend the major European sector-specific trade shows to keep abreast of, and closely follow the world of motorhomes and their users.

Customer Care is increasingly becoming integrated with roadside and workshop assistance: all motorhome users can rely on a mobile workshop ready to reach them in no fewer than 44 different countries. Telephone support provides updates on repair times and methods to the customer and active support to workshops to facilitate troubleshooting and ensure quick delivery of spare parts. Together, these best practices have cut the average vehicle downtime by one day: in brief, the service is extremely useful, particularly for holidaymakers travelling abroad.

The range of services on offer is truly complete: the extension of the Mopar Vehicle Protection "Maximum Care Camper" warranty, presented two years ago and sought now more than ever by customers, is a programme that provides cover for all the mechanical and electrical parts of the Ducato, with different options in terms of duration and mileage, available in all the main countries, in conformity with the local laws in force.

A new service called Conciergerie, which will be added to the current range, will be presented in the last quarter of the year in Germany, France and the UK, then in 2017 it will be extended to the rest of Europe. The end customer will receive a series of additional services for the first two years following the purchase of a Ducato-based motorhome with Euro 6 engine: tourist information, car parking, campsite and transportation search functions as well as a restaurant booking service.

Fiat at the 2016 Paris International Motor Show:
  • Fiat's partnership with Riva leads to the meeting of two icons: Fiat 500 Riva goes under the spotlights, alongside an example of the Aquariva Super, the yacht that inspired its creation. Two symbols of Italian beauty.
  • On the stand, all the members of the Tipo family, with the recent launch of the new Station Wagon version and DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission.
  • The 500 is also on show in its more dynamic, male version: the 500S.
  • The 124 Spider is again making a comeback, with the new special "America" series, now also available with the new automatic transmission.
  • Fiat also makes room for the world première of the new 500X, 1.6 Multijet with dual-clutch automatic transmission.
  • Visitors can also admire the character and connectivity of the 2017 Panda in the Cross version.
  • The stand represents the two functional and exciting worlds that characterise the Fiat brand.

The Fiat brand returns to Paris with the symbol of great Italian beauty that is fruit of the meeting between two absolute icons of the motoring and sailing worlds: the 500 Riva, exhibited alongside an example of the Aquariva Super, the yacht that inspired its creation.
And the entire Tipo family is also present on the stand, three vehicles with very different purposes and identities, but both designed to offer functionality and value for money. With spotlights focused on the Station Wagon version and on the DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission, the full range epitomises the functional world of the Fiat brand, just as the 500 embodies its emotional side. For this reason, space is also given to the 500S, the new more dynamic version characterised by its bold look and full set of standard equipment. The 124 Spider is again making a comeback, with the new special "America" series, now available with the new automatic transmission. The dual-clutch transmission, paired with the 1.6 Multijet engine, makes its worldwide début on the 500X, under the spotlight alongside the 500L: with its market leadership in its segment continuing to grow, it completes the 500 family. Last but not least, functionality on all terrains with the refreshed Panda 2017 in the Cross version, the ideal vehicle for off-road driving that sparkles with style, efficiency, agility and its compact size. It concentrates all the exclusiveness of the off-road vehicles in higher categories into just 370 centimetres.

Fiat 500 Riva

The target of the new 500 Riva are motorists seeking on dry land the same exclusivity as the Aquariva Super yacht - iconic model currently produced by Riva and heir of the legendary Aquarama - and the accessibility that has made the 500 an icon: quality materials and a unique style that simulate the emotions of sailing on the streets of the city.
A combination that has immediately won favour amongst motorists everywhere. Only three months after orders for the 500 Riva opened in the main European countries, more than 3,000 cars were sold, a figure far beyond all expectations.
And so the feather in the cap of the 500 range quite rightfully took pride of place at the Paris Motor Show, giving visitors the chance to admire its beauty and elegance alongside the Italian yacht that inspired it, emblem of the Italian boat manufacturing industry.
The "Sera Blue" colour of the bodywork is the only colour chosen for this special series, it being one of the historical and most popular shades in the palette proposed for the Aquariva Super yachts.
The open top version present on the stand features an exclusive dark blue hood, especially designed for this model. Instead, its sedan twin is characterised by a black panoramic roof, which gives it a particularly elegant look.

Unique details embellish the livery: the mirror caps are chrome-plated, as are the handles and the bonnet trim which emphasises its streamline style, in perfect harmony with the style of the boats produced by the legendary shipyard in Sarnico. Furthermore, a double aquamarine line enhances the soft profile of the 500: running along the belt line, it recalls the beautiful line present in the yachts. Lastly, the brand new and exclusive 16" 20-spoke light alloy rims, characterised by a dedicated blue finish, designed especially for this version. The special Riva 500 series is also the only one to feature the logo of the nautical legend on the boot, wheel arch, wooden insert on the side panel and on the dashboard.

The dashboard is the real heart of the 500 Riva. Made of hand-painted mahogany with maple inlay work, it offers the occupants the luxurious warmth of life on-board, as emphasised by the Riva logo. An innovative engineering process was implemented to make the dashboard: the wood is applied onto an ultralight carbon shell to ensure stability, flexibility and perfect strength over time. The maple inlays are inserted by hand, making each creation truly unique. In this way, wood - the most natural of materials - meets state-of-the-art technology for a result of absolute excellence, just like on Riva yachts: the perfect combination of state-of-the-art technology and expert craftsmanship. In addition to the dashboard, other details in mahogany include the door sills and gear knob, machined from solid wood. From September on, the 500 Riva will also be embellished by an even more exclusive detail: the steering wheel with an elegant wood inlay. And exclusivity is also the name of the game for the seats, with ivory Poltrona Frau® leather upholstery in quilted effect and contrasting ivory stitching. The seat side strips are Sera blue, like the profiles of the seatbelts, also ivory. As visitors to the Fiat stand at the Paris Motor Show can see, everything on board the vehicle, from the colours to the materials, recalls the exclusive environment of Aquariva Super. The attention to detail is meticulous, in a coherent and elegant colour palette. The mats have been especially created with ivory hems and contrasting "Sera Blue" stitching, while the boot mat also features a wood insert with Riva lettering.

The Fiat 500 Riva has a particularly wide range of standard safety features, including seven airbags, ABS complete with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) Hill Holder, which assists the driver during hill starts, and HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assistance) that helps with emergency braking. Naturally, the standard equipment also includes automatic air-conditioning, fog lights, LED day-time lights and a personalised TFT screen with aquamarine background and Riva logo.

Visitors to the Motor Show in Paris will be able to see a couple of 500 Riva cars take to the runway, equipped with the brilliant 1.2 Fire 69 HP engine. But the 500 Riva range presents many alternatives including the two-cylinder 0.9 TwinAir 85 and 105 HP engines and the diesel 1.3 Multijet 95 HP engine.

The Tipo family

Personality, simplicity and functionality combined with an unbeatable offer of value: these are the characteristics that have sealed the success of the Tipo family and have led it to win the prestigious "Autobest" award as "Best Buy Car 2016". An exceptional, full-range offer, focused on "value for money", the key element in the strategy of the Fiat functional family, as summed up by the slogan " You don't need much to get a lot".

On the stand, visitors will also have the chance to admire an example of the 4-door sedan in the "Lounge" version, equipped with the 1.6 Multijet II Euro 6 120 HP turbodiesel engine in the metallic "Maestro Grey" colour. The Tipo range is completed by the 5Doors and SW versions, which are also shown with Lounge trim level. The Fiat Tipo 5Doors will be unveiled in two variants: the 1.4 T-Jet Euro 6 120 HP in metallic Amore Red livery and the 1.6 MultiJet II 120 HP with the new automatic dual clutch transmission - launched in the dealerships in the last few days- for the model in metallic Cinema Black. The youngest addition to the family brings it full circle, the long-awaited Station Wagon variant, which will take to the exhibition floor in the metallic "Mediterranean Blue" and "Colosseum Grey" colours. These are powered by the 1.6 Multijet II diesel engine with dual-clutch automatic transmission and by the petrol 1.4 T-Jet engine, both Euro 6 with 120 HP.

The three styles share the same values but each have unique personalities as diverse as their respective target audiences, from families and couples to young people.
The Tipo family was developed around the brief "Skills, no frills" and combines the Fiat brand's historic concepts of functionality, simplicity and personality in an extraordinary value-for-money offering.

The 4Doors has "rocked the market" with an incredible equation of values in terms of contents, quality and price: and it is no coincidence that so far over 50,000 examples of this model have been sold in the EMEA area, including 25,000 in Europe. This is an exceptional figure if we consider that before the Tipo 4Doors, the compact sedan market in Europe accounted for 50,000 units per year. The 5Doors version was launched in the dealerships before the summer, and has already been chosen by over 15,000 customers in just over three months. Therefore, thanks to its contribution, the Tipo family is still gaining favour with customers and has now been firmly stationed at the top of segment C in Italy for the last two months, beating several well-respected competitors with tradition on their side, racking up a 21% market share in August: more than 1 compact vehicle in 5 is a Fiat Tipo in Italy, and the car has also been declared the third best-selling car of all in the Italian car industry.

In September the Tipo family will be complete, with the arrival of the third, long-awaited variant: the Tipo Station Wagon is the most spacious, flexible vehicle on the market, remaining true to the Tipo family's balanced price, content and quality ratio, while ensuring additional functionality and flexibility. In 4.57 metres of length, it combines a comfort level for its occupants at the top of the category with room for passengers up to 1.87 metres tall in the front seat and three 1.80 metre tall passengers on the rear seat at the same time, with 550 litres of boot space. The vehicle can be put to a number of different uses with "Magic Cargo Space" the function that allows the boot to be configured with only one hand, making it perfect for all family, leisure or work needs. It has a configurable shelf that can be set to two positions to increase the boot depth and two removable side walls can be used to stow small objects and exploit the width of the boot to the max.

The asymmetric Flip&Fold seats also provide a flat, continuous loading surface without steps at the tailgate, of over 1.80 metres in length.
This way, the new Tipo Station Wagon responds to all customer requirements with maximum flexibility, and can be used to carry bikes, skis, pushchairs, surf boards and luggage.
To sum up, a Fiat that specifically targets families and Business to Business customers, given the extraordinary equation of value between price, product characteristics and contents. But that's not all: from the early stages of development, special attention was given to total cost of ownership (TCO), a key consideration for both private and business-to-business customers. The top-in-class TCO values are made possible by particularly low fuel consumption, coupled with low maintenance, repair and running costs. Furthermore, the simple and straightforward range and the comprehensive standard equipment keep the residual value high in the long term, while the specific Business versions offer a comprehensive solution to the needs of fleet customers.

Particular emphasis has been given to the range of Euro 6 engines, designed for the heart of the European market and developed over three different engine strengths with three different types of fuel systems. We are talking about the petrol-driven 1.4 16v Fire 95 HP engine, the 1.4 T-Jet 120 HP engine and the 1.6 E-torQ 110 HP engine, in addition to the dual petrol and LPG 1.4 T-Jet 120 HP engine. The range is completed by the 1.3 Multijet II 95 HP and 1.6 Multijet II 120 HP turbodiesel engines, now also available in "ECO" version: this is a choice based on a higher performance, favouring fuel efficiency and lower emissions. It is therefore the ideal vehicle for long distance trips and optimises the Total Cost of Ownership. Its secret lies in the effective combination of sophisticated motor sport solutions and specific on-board features. In detail, the 1.6 MultiJet II engine incorporates a Start&Stop system, intelligent alternator, variable displacement oil pump, electronically controlled fuel pump and electric thermostat. The ECO version incorporates an aerodynamic pack that includes Active Grille Shutter (AGS), which adjusts the air flow to the cooling system by opening and closing the front grille, thereby also keeping the engine at the correct operating temperature. Furthermore, the restriction of air flow reduces aerodynamic drag, which has a positive effect on fuel consumption.
Also included in the pack are low wind resistance 16" alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tyres.
Thanks to these features, the Tipo 1.6 MultiJet II ECO cuts CO2 emissions to 89 g/km in the combined test cycle.

In September, DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission will also be available on the full 1.6 Multijet II range. This ensures continuous torque and traction delivery without loss of power during gear changes. Technically, the system consists of two automated transmissions, one with the even gears and the other with the odd gears positioned in parallel. The gear is changed in one of the two, while the other continues the traction with another gear. The gear is effectively changed by adjusting the corresponding clutches to ensure the continuity of traction during the entire manoeuvre. The clutches are the "dry" type to minimise the impact on the vehicle and maximise the efficiency of the entire system. The dual clutch transmission can be used in automatic or sequential manner, according to whether the driver chooses a comfortable and fuel-efficient or a more dynamic driving style.

Additionally, in true Fiat style, the Tipo family is packed with plenty of clever solutions that make life better for everyone on-board. The line-up offers remarkably generous standard equipment, such as the innovative UconnectTM 7" HD LIVE system, featuring a 7" high-resolution colour touchscreen display with capacitive screen that the user can pinch and swipe just like a tablet. The latest-generation system includes a hands-free Bluetooth interface, audio streaming, text reader and voice recognition, AUX and USB ports with iPod integration, controls on the steering wheel and, on demand, rear parking camera and the new TomTom 3D built-in navigation system.

The customer will always be connected, with the UconnectTM LIVE services available on the touchscreen radio.
Users who download the free UconnectTM LIVE app from the App Store or Google Play Store onto their smartphone can fully exploit the benefits of UconnectTM LIVE, including music streaming with Deezer and TuneIn, news from Reuters, connected navigation with TomTom LIVE and the ability to stay in touch with friends via Facebook Check-in and Twitter. Besides savings, users can also be sure to monitor their car's environmental performance and maintenance status with eco:Drive and my:Car.

CarPlay and Android AutoTM will also be available on UconnectTM 7" HD LIVE by the end of this year.
Apple CarPlay allows the driver to use their iPhone in the car in the most intuitive way possible: it perfectly integrates the iPhone with the car's display and native controls. Now users will be able to make calls, play their music, send and receive messages, get directions optimised for traffic conditions and much more, while staying focused on the road.

Android Auto will give the driver useful information organised in simple sheets that only appear when necessary. This function gives access to Google Maps with voice-guided navigation system, traffic information in real time, lane guidance; Google Play Music and many other music services; the ability to make and receive calls and send messages while keeping your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.
Android Auto and Google Play Music are registered trademarks of Google Inc.

Ready to face the challenges of the future, the Tipo family was designed in Italy by the Fiat Style Centre and developed in Europe and Turkey together with Tofaş R&D, one of FCA's largest research and development centres, involving a dedicated team of over 2,000 people during the three-year development process. During that time, the models were tested over a total distance of 8.7 million kilometres in extreme weather, road and high altitude conditions, in order to be ready for sale in over 50 countries in the EMEA area.
The final result is a family of sturdy, reliable cars, marking Fiat's full comeback to the medium-size vehicle segment, the second largest segment in Europe in terms of size and the first segment for Business to Business customers.

Fiat 500S

The Fiat 500S is the new sports version characterised by its bold look and full standard equipment. Available in two versions, sedan and convertible, the new model targets a young, mostly male clientele seeking a vehicle with a strong sporty personality. Aesthetically speaking, the 500S is characterised by sportier front and rear bumpers, with built-in fog lights, side-skirts and special spoilers and by the introduction of details, from the exclusive "Satin Graphite" paint (as on the door and tailgate handles, mirror caps and alloy rims), the rear tinted windows, chrome-plated tailpipe, "black grained" air intakes and the eye-catching honeycomb bottom grille.
The 15" rims are also exclusive to this model and enriched by the specific "Satin Graphite" finish. Additionally, 16" rims with a matt diamond black treatment are also available as optionals.
Finally, the exclusive colour palette chosen to further enhance the bold appearance of the vehicle features the colours Italia Blue and new matt Alpi Green, only for the sedan version.
The vehicle on the stand is equipped with a two-cylinder petrol 0.9 TwinAir 105 HP engine, which increases fuel efficiency and reduces emissions, still managing to shine thanks to its engine boost. The 500S is also available with a 1.2 petrol 69 HP engine and as a 1.3 Multijet 95 HP turbodiesel model.

Finally, the interior of the New 500S stands out for the "Satin Graphite" details (such as the dashboard fascia), special sports steering wheel and matching black seats and roof rack, in contrast with the door panels and the stitching on the chairs, available in light blue, white and yellow. Frau leather interiors with white or blue details are available on request.

Infotainment on the 500

The new 500 Riva and 500S are two personalities of the iconic Fiat vehicle. They are designed to captivate all motorists who share a passion for on-board comfort and the most innovative technological features. The dashboard in both models incorporates a UconnectTM 7" HD LIVE touchscreen with tablet effect and HD display, the next frontier of infotainment. This system implements a wide range of functions, including UconnectTM LIVE services as standard, Bluetooth hands-free system, voice recognition and plenty of music options in addition to FM/AM radio. The driver can connect their multimedia devices via USB or using the 3.5mm auxiliary jack, or stream music from a compatible smartphone using Bluetooth. In addition, the new UconnectTM 7 "HD LIVE will soon be available on request with the integrated mirroring system for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital radio (DAB) and a 3D integrated TomTom navigation system.

The new versions complement the 500 range with the latest audio experience from Beats by Dr. Dre, the system designed to revolutionise the way in which music can be heard inside the vehicle. Optionals on the 500 Riva and 500S include the exclusive BeatsAudioTM system, boasting a total output of 440 watts and featuring a digital 8-channel amplifier integrating an advanced equalisation algorithm, which can recreate the entire sound spectrum that an artist experiences during studio recording.
The Beats AudioTM system consists of 8-channel amplifiers with 440 watts of power; two dome tweeters installed in the front pillars; two 165 mm midwoofers in the front doors; two full-range 165 mm speakers in the rear side panels; and one 200 mm subwoofer in the centre of the luggage compartment, in the spare wheel compartment.

Fiat 124 Spider

The new Fiat 124 Spider revives the storied nameplate, bringing its classic styling and performance to a new generation. Paying homage to its namesake, the original 124 Spider that was launched 50 years ago, it delivers an authentic Italian roadster experience with driving excitement, technology and safety combined with inimitable Italian design. Visitors to the Paris Motor Show will be able to admire the new limited edition special "America" series: it celebrates, with special equipment, the 124 Spider that commemorated the 50th anniversary of Pininfarina in the 1980s. And indeed, the special series also sports the same magnetic bronze paintwork featured on the original model. The caps of the rear view mirrors are silver in colour and the interior is upholstered in a tobacco shade of leather. Upon request, the new 124 Spider America can be supplied with 17" light alloy wheel rims in the historic design and rear baggage rack. These two accessories are developed by Mopar, the reference brand for services, Customer Care, original spare parts and accessories for the FCA brands which emphasise their vintage identity. Finally, the 124 America Spider includes a celebratory plaque with the issue number and a logo on the front grille. From a technical point of view, the vehicle hosts the début of the six-gear sequential automatic transmission - orders open from October in major European countries -, which is the fruit of an accurate study designed to make the most of the engine torque and ultra-rapid gear changes.

The stand also hosts another 124 Spider, in "Lusso" version with Ice White livery and interior in black leather. Both of the vehicles on display feature three packs designed to personalise the 124 Spider version. More in detail, these are the "Visibility Pack" which includes, among other things, full LED adaptive headlights with light and rain sensors; the "Radio Pack" with DAB radio, a 7" touchscreen display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and multimedia control, and the "Bose Pack" which features nine speakers, four of which are integrated in the headrests. The "America" version also features the Premium pack which includes a navigator with 3D maps, a rear video camera and Keyless entry system.

Standard equipment still includes four airbags, manual climate control, MP3 radio with USB port and four speakers, leather steering wheel, cruise control, 16" alloy wheel rims and Keyless Go function. Not to mention the active bonnet. The "Lusso" upgrade adds many fine details, such as 17" alloy wheel rims, leather seats, lower dashboard and instrument cluster hood with stitching details, Premium Silver roll-bars and front pillar, chrome-plated twin tailpipe, fog lights and automatic climate control system.

In the EMEA region, the Fiat 124 Spider is equipped with the reliable 1.4-litre turbo four-cylinder engine with MultiAir technology, which delivers 140 HP power and 240 Nm of torque, and is available with six-speed manual transmission and automatic transmission. The performance obtained with manual transmission is outstanding, including a top speed of 215 km/h with acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The 124 Spider's suspension uses a double-wishbone layout in front and a multilink in the rear, specifically tuned for greater stability while braking and turning. Steering is accurate and responsive with the use of an electric power assist system. The steering and suspension set-up, lightweight frame, balanced weight distribution and turbocharged engine combine for a dynamic driving experience. Noise vibration and harshness (NVH) enhancements, including an acoustic front windscreen, also help to deliver a refined, quiet ride. For an open-air driving experience, the Fiat 124 Spider's soft manual convertible top is easy to operate and requires minimal force. Therefore, with the 124 Spider, Fiat is making a comeback to the convertible segment. Not by chance, over the course of Fiat's history, open tops have been a key feature of very successful models which are considered authentic examples of the finest Italian design.

Fiat 500X

The 500X is also something of a head-turner: on the stand, visitors can admire it in the Cross Plus version, the off-road model featuring special bumpers with bumper protectors. The vehicle on display is fitted with the brand new winning combination of a 1.6 Multijet 120 HP engine with front-wheel drive and DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Exhibited in the exclusive three-layer colour Amalfi Yellow, it is embellished by black mirror caps and diamond wheel rims from the rich Mopar range. The upholstery is in structured grey fabric with knit and black eco-leather inserts.

The 500X leads the segment in terms of technology and safety systems. The vehicle on show is equipped with automatic climate control, Lane Assist system (which alerts the driver with visual and acoustic warnings in the event of involuntary lane changes), Brake Control (which warns the driver of potential collision risks and independently brakes the vehicle if the driver fails to react in time), Blind Spot Assist (which alerts the driver to the presence of vehicles in blind spots) and Rear Cross Path Detection (which warns the driver of the presence of vehicles approaching from the side when reversing). Last but not least, it also has Adaptive Cruise Control, enabling the optimum speed for the traffic conditions to be automatically set in real time. It relies on a radar sensor mounted on the front of the vehicle to detect objects in its path. If the road ahead is clear, the system reverts to the set speed. If a slower-moving vehicle is detected, the system automatically regulates itself to maintain a safer distance (selected by the driver), using the accelerator and brakes.
Maximum safety is also assured by a high level of visibility. The model has Bi-Xenon headlamps fitted to enable sharper illumination because they are closer to the natural viewing conditions of the human eye, as well as fog lights with cornering function that perfectly illuminate the inside of the curves. Furthermore, the automatic headlights switch on and off automatically depending on the light conditions, and also change automatically from high to low beam when other vehicles are approaching.

From a technical point of view, the most important innovation in the vehicle on display is the Multijet II engine, combined with the DCT dual-clutch gear system, which offers high standards in terms of comfort and user-friendliness while still retaining the popular dynamic characteristics of the 1.6 120 HP engine.
Technically, the system consists of two automated transmissions, one with the even gears and the other with the odd gears positioned in parallel. The gear is engaged in one of the two, whereas the other continues to provide traction with the other gear. The effective gear change is obtained by modulating the corresponding clutches in order to guarantee continuous traction during the entire manoeuvre. The clutches are the "dry" type to minimise the impact on the vehicle and maximise the efficiency of the entire system and enhance the driving experience.

The 6-gear, dual clutch automatic transmission interacts in real time with all the vehicle's electronic systems. For better road performance, depending on driving conditions and the driver's style, the transmission continuously "communicates" with the "Mode Selector" switch, and therefore with the braking and steering systems in addition to the engine control unit and the vehicle stability control system. Additionally, the DCT transmission can be set to automatic or sequential mode, using the gear stick or steering wheel controls.

On board the 500X, comfort and a pleasant driving experience are key elements, as is evident from the wide range of contents offered, such as, for example, the Electric Park Brake, Keyless Entry and Keyless Go (for opening the doors and starting the car without a key) and the three-position Drive Mode Selector. Finally, the 500X is the poster vehicle for round-the-clock connectivity. Its UConnect 6.5'' Radio Nav LIVE is the ultimate in infotainment. Add to this a large, high definition touchscreen, 3D navigation functionality and many other services, for a brand new driving experience. With Tom LIVE, motorists can receive traffic, weather and route updates in real time. The Reuters news app is also available on the 500X, ensuring that the latest news from all over the world is always close to hand, and the music apps TuneIn and Deezer, which offer a library of over 35 million tracks. The vehicle also features the powerful HiFi Beats By Dr. Dre system, with 9 speakers and an 8-channel amplifier.

Finally, American actor Adrien Brody will be driving the versatile, technological 500X: he is the star of the new commercial after having featured in that of the exclusive and elegant 500 Riva.

Fiat 500L

The line-up is completed by the 500L model, which combines the iconic 500 style with the functionality of Fiat's design tradition. This special alchemy has resulted in the 'City Lounge Fiat', a new approach to a city car which is an emotional reformulation of the compact vehicle category for the modern family. In Paris, visitors can admire the Trekking version with Pack S in matt silver livery with matt black roof, upholstery in black leather and matt silver dashboard. The Pack S styling provides a unique look created by the contrast between the red brake callipers, matt black details (front and rear bumpers, fenders and side skirts) and exclusive 17" matt black alloy wheels. The vehicle also features the Hi-Fi Beats sound system by Dr. Dre, with six speakers plus stereo subwoofer offering 520 watts of power, amplifier with DSP, eight channels and an advanced equalisation algorithm for an equally unique audio experience. Under the bonnet, excellent performances are ensured by the 1.6 Multijet 120 HP engine, with a compact variable geometry turbocharger that delivers a very high torque power at low rotation speeds (320 Nm at 1750 rpms).
This version is a true free spirit with two perfectly integrated personalities that come to the fore depending on the conditions: the city friendly car that takes all the stress out of urban driving and its more adventurous counterpart that emerges to bring fun and excitement to weekend trips out of town.
Indeed, the vehicle sports a look that expresses its full versatility, paired with a raised ride height and exclusive bumpers with bumper protectors. Standard equipment includes smart forward-drive with Traction+ technology and this, together with the M+S "snowflake" tires (again provided as standard), increases the traction of the vehicle on slippery terrains. All this without missing out on the generous space and practical functionality intrinsic to the 500L, the vehicle that best holds together the small pleasures and grand emotions of life - children, friends, trips - thanks to a 3.17m3 passenger compartment and a wide, regular boot (with volume of up to 455 litres).

Fiat Panda

Paris will also be sure to welcome the refreshed 2017 Panda, the best selling car in Italy in its segment since 2012, with an updated offer, as always in tune with the characteristics that have made it successful and that are the cornerstones of the Fiat functional family: personality, practicality and simplicity. Ever since it was first introduced, Panda has stood out for its unmistakable personality and characteristic agreeability developed to emphasise three different expressions of the model: city car, 4x4 and Cross. These temperaments are united by functionality and simplicity: very compact exterior dimensions, interior space exploited to the max and configurable to all transport needs, a wide choice of engines and interior and exterior colour combinations able to meet every requirement. Finally, a simple range embellished by the new UconnectTM infotainment system with Bluetooth and cradle on the dashboard for integration with Android and iOS smartphones.

The stand wouldn't be complete without the ultimate winter vehicle, one that shines and stands out for its style, efficiency, easy handling and compact size. We mean the Fiat Panda Cross 2017 of course, which concentrates all the exclusiveness of the off-road performances typical of vehicles in higher categories into just 370 centimetres. This car is simply one of a kind, because it teams a traction system and technical features which are ideal for off-road driving offering the performance and contents of an SUV, with the external dimensions, efficiency and easy handling of a city car, along with a distinctive style that manages to combine rational design with thrilling driveability.
The vehicle on show is clad in the new Colosseum grey colour, in a bid to emphasise its technical personality, with two-tone seats in grey fabric and brown eco-leather and brown dashboard with satin silver panel. It is fitted with the 1.3 Multijet II 95 HP engine, which combines an extraordinary power with a generous torque and low consumption levels. The all-wheel drive car features the Electronic Differential Lock, which it was the first to introduce to the market.

Fiat stand

The stand in Paris will use sophisticated symbolism and elegance to attract visitors. The theme of the installation is duality and the complementarity of opposing elements, as summarised by the Yin and Yang concept. In other words, mutually related elements that constantly alternate through changes in the state of equilibrium. In short, the stand represents the two functional and exciting worlds that characterise the Fiat brand.

On the white side, to the left of the stand, you will find models characterised by simplicity, functionality and convenience: the features that have always marked the Fiat brand. Even so, over the course of its history, Fiat has created thrilling vehicles that have become a fashion icon. "Value for money" and "Dolce vita", typically Italian values, are both part of the brand's DNA - which is why on the black side, to the right, there are vehicles that embody seduction and ambition. Alongside the 500 Riva, visitors will be able to admire the iconic Aquariva yacht, on a purpose-built platform. This is the ultimate model made in the Riva yard, which bears perfect testimony to the natural stylistic evolution of the brand. The soft, elegant forms and the fine woods encompass the flavour of tradition, while the innovative technical solutions ensure exceptional performances.

From an architectural point of view, the underlying construction that defines the space looks like a fluid and harmonious structure with a contemporary edge.
From the front, visitors can appreciate all the cars on show while videos are projected on the large screen. By means of a clever alternation of full spaces and voids, the background conveys a feeling of solidity and enveloping protection. The same which is felt at the wheel of a Fiat.
The surfaces consist of a few essential materials such as steel, wood and glass, the latter used in shades of black and white that are perfectly in harmony with the architectural setting.

Visitors to the Paris Motor Show can discover the new line of merchandising dedicated to the Fiat brand and, in particular, to the 500: an exclusive collection, created jointly with the Style Centre, and designed to express a lifestyle that is capable of charming even the most demanding customers. In particular, a public always on the lookout for new, trendy ideas that appreciates the sweatshirts with built-in earphones that allow the wearer to comfortably listen to their music, and more fashionable products, such as the bags in technical fabric, characterised by exclusive patterns and the "power bank", useful for recharging your smartphone wherever you may be. The collections are distributed by Mopar, the reference brand for the services, Customer Care, original parts and accessories of the FCA brands.
Finally, thanks to the informative leaflets and the special elements placed around the booth, the audience will get a chance to become acquainted with the products of FCA Bank, the financial company specialising in the automotive sector. The company operates on the main European markets - in France through FCA Capital France SA - with a sole mission: supporting the sales of all FCA brand vehicles through innovative financial products and high added value services dedicated to dealer networks, private clients and companies.

Salone del Gusto travels on board Fiat Professional:

From 22 to 26 September, within this event, the public will be able to admire the new Fullback and Fiorino, expressions of a 'full liner' brand that can satisfy the most diverse needs

Fiat Professional is Technical Partner of the "Terra Madre - Salone del Gusto 2016" event taking place in Turin from 22 to 26 September. This is the top international event dedicated to food culture, and the show will enable the public to visit a marketplace featuring exhibitors from the five continents and Slow Food Chapters. There will also be many meetings aimed at discovering the wealth of food and wine available across the world and widen the range of opinions on the food domain.

The core theme of the event 'Loving the Earth', is perfectly represented by Fiat Professional vehicles, which will transport all Slow Food products. These are the new Fullback, a "Work Hero", perfectly at ease on the most difficult terrains and, if needed, also able to take on the needs of daily life, and the New Fiorino, a van created for the city. Indeed, the model confirms the concept that made its success: compact size but huge load capacity. The two vehicles pass the earth's produce to each other, in a metaphorical relay, as they transport it from country to city. Fullback is the ideal partner for farming work, thanks to its load capacity and its agility on rough terrains. It is robust and reliable but also fast and performing at the same time. Once in the city, for retail deliveries, it can 'pass the baton' to the New Fiorino, which under four metres in size can offer a load capacity up to 2.8m3 and 660 kg. Furthermore, it is the only small van to offer a dual fuel petrol and methane 1.4 Natural Power 70 HP engine.

In 2016, Fiat Professional consolidated its image of a 'full liner' brand, ready to take on key challenges with absolute product innovation. And offering the approach of professionals addressing other professionals, with innovative and targeted business solutions, including the launch of the @FiatProOfficial Twitter account (https://twitter.com/FiatProOfficial), that fits well in this context.
Fiat Professional can boast over one hundred years of history and a one-of-a-kind baggage of experience in the world of commercial vehicles. Skills have been consolidated over time with unremitting enthusiasm to take on challenges, keeping the passion and boldness to always open new roads. The new strategies and new models launched this year, like Fullback, Talento and Fiorino, are playing a fundamental role in this development and in the direction of increasingly more global growth.

Fiat Professional alongside multiple world champion Tony Cairoli:

Today, on the day of Tony Cairoli's birthday, the Fiat Professional brand celebrates the multiple World Motocross Champion by announcing their sponsorship will run until 2018. The Sicilian pilot will be available in Hanover, on 28th September, for all fans who would like to meet him in person; he will be a guest of the Fiat Professional stand in the most important European Trade Show scheduled from 22 to 29 September in the German city.

This is a prestigious partnership that is based on shared values like passion, determination and dynamism. These are the winning ingredients driving the FCA brand dedicated to commercial vehicles forward in 2016, on the strength of great new products, an even more customer oriented approach and the clear will to open new roads in the global market.

An icon of Italian sport, Tony Cairoli stated: "I am Italian and Fiat Professional represents Italian excellence in the world of work and professional transportation. Its robust, ergonomic and modernly designed vehicles perfectly fit the requirements of people who need to work, transport and move continuously, like we do in Motocross, travelling to racetracks all over the world, often in extreme conditions, during the racing season. I am thrilled to represent a brand like Fiat Professional, and to drive my new Fullback to go training on racetracks with my motorcycle every day.

Furthermore, the Fiat Professional brand will be Presenting Sponsor in the "Motocross of Nations 2016" race, where Tony Cairoli will lead the Italian squad on 24 and 25 Septemberon the Maggiora (Novara) circuit. Excitement will certainly be palpable on this very selective track, where 38 national 3-pilot squads will race in each of their respective classes: MXGP, MX2 and Open.

It is the FIM Motocross World Championship MXGP - where Fiat Professional is Official Sponsor and was also Title Sponsor in the 2016 Belgian, Italian and British Championship races - that crowned Cairoli eight-time World Champion, and runner up with 647 points this year, despite a difficult start due to a serious injury at the beginning of the year.

Determination and character are also the features of the unstoppable Fullback, the Fiat Professional pick up that was official vehicle of this exciting World Championship, showing its quality configurations, sizes and engines at each race. The all-wheel drive can also tackle any terrain, just like a motocross bike. A few Fullback pick ups will star in three events that will involve the public of "Motocross of Nations 2016": at 6 pm tonight three Fiat Professional pick ups will be used to carry the racing teams to the SkyBox for their official salute to the public. Tomorrow, also at 6 pm, the Fullback pick ups will be used for the awards of the winning pilots of the MX2 and MXGP World Championships, while on Sunday the vehicles will take part in the American Dream Team parade, starting at 10.15 am.

500 Riva parades in the French capital with the “Tender to Paris” limited edition:

On the stand at Europe's most glamorous motor show, Fiat is launching the 500 Riva "Tender to Paris" special series displayed next to the Aquariva Super, both in exclusive "Sera Blue", the traditional colour of the Sarnico shipyard

Fiat is shining in Paris with a symbol of outstanding Italian beauty, fruit of the meeting between two undisputed icons of the motoring and nautical worlds: 500 Riva will be displayed on the stand alongside an Aquariva Super, the open power yacht that symbolises Riva creativity and which was the source of inspiration for the car.
To celebrate the partnership between 500 and Riva, FCA France has decided to create a specific version, complete with all the main optional equipment offered on 500 Riva. This limited edition - that will count just 50 cars only for the French market - will be convertible only. It will fit BeatsAudioTM, navigator with DAB, electrochromic rear-view mirror, windstop, steering wheel with mahogany insert as standard material and will sport an exclusive "Tender to Paris" numbered and customised badge.

500 Riva "Tender to Paris" preserves the style elements that characterise 500 Riva making it the most beautiful 500 ever. The body paintwork is "Sera Blue", one of the most traditional and appreciated colours in the palette of Aquariva Super boats, and is set off by an exclusive blue top make specifically for 500 Riva. Other unique details embellish the livery: the mirror caps are chrome-plated, as are the handles and the bonnet trim which emphasises its streamline design, in perfect harmony with the style of the boats built by the legendary shipyard in Sarnico. Furthermore, a double aquamarine stripe enhances the round profile of the 500: running along the belt line, it recalls the charming decorative detail of the power yacht. Lastly, the exclusive one-of-a-kind 16" 20-spoke light alloy rims are characterised by a specific blue finish and designed especially for this version. The Riva 500 special series is also the only one to sport the logo of the nautical legend on the boot, wheel arch, the side panel insert and the dashboard.

The dashboard is the real gem of the 500 Riva. Made of hand-painted mahogany with maple inlay work, it offers the occupants the luxurious warmth of life on-board, as emphasised by the Riva logo. An innovative engineering process was implemented to make it: the wood is applied on an ultralight carbon shell to ensure stability, flexibility and perfect strength over time. The maple inlays are arranged by hand, making each creation truly unique. In this way, wood - the most natural of materials - meets state-of-the-art technology for a result of absolute excellence, just like on Riva yachts: the perfect combination of state-of-the-art technology and expert craftsmanship. In addition to the dashboard, other mahogany details include the door sills and the gear knob, the latter machined from solid wood. Furthermore, from this month on, 500 Riva will also be embellished by an even more exclusive detail: the steering wheel with an elegant wood inlay. And exclusivity is also the name of the game for the seats, with ivory Poltrona Frau® quilted effect leather upholstery and contrasting ivory stitching. The piping is Sera blue, like the profiles of the seat belts, which are also ivory. Every detail aboard the car - from the colours to the materials - makes reference to the unmistakeable style of the Aquariva Super. The attention to detail is meticulous with a coherently elegant colour palette. The mats have special ivory edging and contrasting "Sera Blue" stitching, like the boot mat also features a wood insert with Riva lettering.

The car has plenty of safety and comfort features, with seven airbags, ABS with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) Hill Holder, which assists the driver during hill starts, and HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assistance) that helps with emergency braking. Naturally, the standard equipment also includes automatic A/C, fog lights, LED daytime running lights and a personalised TFT screen with aquamarine background and Riva logo. The "Tender to Paris" limited edition may be equipped with the brilliant 1.2 Fire 69 HP engine or the TwinAir 0.9 cm3 two-cylinder, of which two versions are available: 85 HP with Dualogic transmission and 105 HP.

Rome, 5 October 2016 - Alfredo Altavilla (Chief Operating Officer of FCA EMEA Region), Pierre Lahutte (IVECO Brand President) and Marco Alverà (Chief Executive Officer of Snam), today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering the development of natural gas as a fuel for road vehicles. The MoU was signed in the presence of Italy's Minister of Economic Development Carlo Calenda and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Graziano Delrio, and is part of a wider set of initiatives to promote sustainable mobility.

With long-established and world-leading cutting edge technology, Italy is the leading European market for natural gas consumption for vehicles, with more than 1 billion cubic meters consumed in 2015 and about 1 million vehicles currently in circulation.

Italy's natural gas value chain in the transport sector is globally recognized for its technological and environmental excellence, and Italy is also able to leverage Europe's largest, most accessible gas pipeline network, stretching over more than 32,000 km.

Under the terms of the Memorandum, the three companies - FCA, IVECO and Snam - will actively cooperate to boost the further development of methane for vehicle usage in the form of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), an immediately available and more sustainable alternative to traditional fuels, which is capable of bringing important environmental and economic benefits to consumers, companies and public administration.

FCA is pursuing the development of alternative fuel motors as a key pillar in its strategy and has a leading position in the field of CNG technologies. FCA has recently significantly developed its range, which is now composed of 12 models, making it one of most complete in the automotive sector.

IVECO has achieved a technological advantage in natural gas engines by having developed a complete range of both CNG and LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) vehicles, from the light commercial vehicle, Daily, to the urban bus, Urbanway, and the new Stralis LNG for long-haul transport, launched last June. These initiatives highlight the potential of methane as a fuel for commercial vehicles, public transport vehicles and public service vehicles, in which the brand also plays a leading role at an international level.

Together, FCA and IVECO intend to further develop their ranges of natural gas vehicles, already among the most comprehensive in the world, bringing additional innovation to well-recognized Italian technological excellence by playing an active role in promoting the offer and developing targeted marketing operations.

Snam, as a European leader in the construction and management of infrastructure for the natural gas market, will provide its consolidated experience in the sector by investing approximately 200 million euro over the next five years to foster the development of facilities for the supply of CNG. This will help expanding the number of methane service stations, currently at around 1,100, improving customer service quality and ensuring a more balanced distribution of filling stations throughout Italy, to support the evolution of an increasing fleet of light and heavy vehicles in circulation.

Environmental and economic benefits of methane for vehicle usage (CNG)

The doubling of the current number of CNG service stations to more than 2,000 over the next 10 years in line with the DAFI Directive currently in implementation will be the main factor to help achieve the growth target for the CNG fleet of over 3 million vehicles.

This will result in a direct benefit of 1.5 billion euro for Italian produced natural gas technology and more than 1 billion euro in overall infrastructure investments for the development of methane filling stations, with significant benefits also to employment. Consumers will also enjoy overall savings estimated at up to 800 million euro in five years' time, based on the historically low oil price over the past few months.

Methane fuelling for cars, trucks and buses has significant environmental benefits as it ensures a relevant reduction of polluting emissions of the foreseeable replaced vehicles estimated at 40% of CO2 (carbon dioxide) emissions and more than 90% of NOx (nitrogen oxides) compared with traditional fuels, with a near total reduction of the most polluting element, that of particulate matter (PM).

As of today, the natural gas road transport sector already has an annual turnover of 1.7 billion euro and employs 20,000 people. In addition, the savings generated by the use of natural gas vehicles and the short lead times associated with the development of a proven, safe and reliable technology provide an opportunity for value creation for families, enterprises and public administration.

The FCA Centro Stile in “Autostyle Design Competition 2016” :

Time for the XIII edition of the event dedicated to World Automobile Design. Prizes for upcoming style talents, plus workshops with today's top sector designers. The centuries-old park of Villa di Bagno (Province of Mantua) will play host to models from the Alfa Romeo Giulia, the Abarth 124 Spider and the Fiat Tipo Station Wagon lines

Tomorrow, the thirteenth edition of the "Autostyle Design Competition" will take place at Villa di Bagno in Porto Mantovano (Mantua). This exciting exploration of motorcar design is organised by Berman, a component manufacturer since 1972, by the Auto&Design magazine and by the Wacom Company. The highlight of the event is its traditional "International Special Version Competition", reserved for promising young talents from Europe's most famous design academies. Participants will be judged by renowned designers such as Roberto Giolito (FCA), Alessandro Maccolini (Alfa Romeo), Flavio Manzoni (Ferrari) and Marco Tencone (Maserati).

Set inside the grounds of Villa di Bagno, in a superb ancient garden, the event will begin at 9 a.m. with a workshop where four representatives of four Style Centres - including Maserati's Marco Tencone - will present their latest novelties in an ever more dynamic context charged by innovative themes such as alternative fuel engines, robot driving and internet connectivity. To follow this, Flavio Manzoni will present a workshop on the upcoming Ferrari 458 MM Speciale. To close the morning, voting will take place, both by the judging commission and the public, to decide the winners of the XIII edition.

The magnificent park of Villa di Bagno will also provide the setting for the exhibition of the 20 cars which aroused the most enthusiasm during 2016, including the latest creations from Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Abarth. In particular, visitors will be able to get a close-up view of the alluring Giulia, the ultra-authentic expression of the Alfa Romeo spirit which features all the elements and attitudes that have rendered it one of the world's most desired brands: unmistakably Italian design, high performance engines, perfect weight distribution, unique technical solutions and improved power/weight ratio.
Also highlighted is the new Abarth 124 spider, which offers all the thrills and pleasures that only a real spider can offer. Developed with the Abarth Racing team, the car perfectly embodies the leading values of the brand: performance, artisan craft and technical excellence.
The Fiat Tipo Station Wagon completes the FCA model display at the Mantova event: the most spacious and flexible Fiat on the market, loyally following the tradition value equation of the Tipo family - centred on "value for money" - while also ensuring greater functionality and versatility.

FCA triumphs at the 11th “EuBea 2016” International Festival:

St. Petersburg (Russia) was the stage of last night's "EuBea 2016" award ceremony. Currently in its 11th year, the event is now the key European showcase for the event and live communication industries

With its Alfa Romeo and Fiat brands, the FCA group was a leading participant, winning four out of 14 categories of the "EuBea 2016" International Festival, and also - among all automotive groups - FCA obtained a podium finish in the "Best Corporate Client" classification. Organized by ADC Group, the competition rewards a shortlist of best projects selected by a jury of representatives of businesses and associations from the European event industry.

In the current 2016 edition, the Alfa Romeo brand took first position in the "B2B" category, and also achieved a podium position in the "Product/Service Launch Event" category, thanks to the "Alfa Romeo Giulia and Giulia Quadrifoglio - The Mechanics of Emotions", the launching event for the sports sedan that embodies the most authentic expression of the Alfa Romeo spirit. The presentation to the international press took place last may, at the Centro Sperimentale in Balocco (Vercelli), before over 500 journalists and bloggers who were able to test it on the tracks, and thus appreciate all the elements that made Alfa Romeo a top desirable brand: distinctly Italian design, performance engines, perfect load distribution, unique technical solution and best power/weight ratio.

The driving experience was enhanced by a NASA bracelet, worn by every journalist to gauge their skin electric activity, blood pressure and heart rate during the test drive. Furthermore, an App was used to compare the emotional data from the journalists with the telemetry data from the Giulia performance. A true hot lap to show the relationship between emotions and performance. Just like a televised Grand Prix, lap after lap, journalists were able to see videos of themselves on the track and live again the emotions they experienced on board of an Alfa Romeo Giulia.

More success for Fiat in the "Casa 500" winter tour, with first prize in the "People's Choice Award", plus a podium finish as best Automotive Brand in the "Roadshow" and "Use of web and Social Media" categories. The "Casa 500" winter tour, implemented by the Ideal Communications agency, involved bringing a special 500-style home to five prestigious Italian mountain resorts: Bardonecchia, Gressoney, Abetone, S. Martino di Castrozza and Madonna di Campiglio. Towed by a flaming red Fiat 500X, the fully accessorized original travelling home offered a unique experience of freedom and light heartedness, right by the ski slope or even on the slopes. A truly unique experience. Guests of the "Casa 500" were also treated to many fun activities, including a chance to test the 500X four-wheel drive.

The prestigious awards of the "EuBea 2016" event follow those recently awarded at the 13th edition of the Italian "BEA - Best Event Awards" festival. The Fiat and Alfa Romeo brands dominated that event, with "Casa 500" and the two "Giulia - the Mechanics of Emotions" and "We are Giulietta" projects.
