  2. Salutare. In viteza a 3a scoate un zgomot ciudat, cârâie.
  3. http://www.leftlanenews.com/fiat-launches-facelifted-punto-in-india.html Fiat launches facelifted Punto Evo hatchback in India Fiat's Indian division has published the first official images of the facelifted Punto hatchback. Called Punto Evo locally, the Indian-spec Punto stands out from the model sold in Europe thanks to more angular headlights and a new bumper that incorporates a wider radiator grille and a bigger air dam. New paint colors, LED tail lamps and numerous chrome-look accents all around finish off the updates. Inside, the differences between the two models are minor and largely limited to market-specific trim. The two cars share the same dashboard, the same steering wheel and the same seats. The Punto Evo can be equipped with automatic A/C, cruise control, LED ambient lighting and Bluetooth connectivity, while top two trim levels come standard with front and side airbags. The Punto's entry-level engine is a 1.2-liter four-cylinder that generates 68 horsepower. Buyers looking for more power can order a 90-horsepower 16-valve 1.4-liter unit, and Fiat offers a 1.3-liter turbodiesel rated at either 76 or 93 horsepower. All engines send power to the front wheels via a manual transmission. The facelifted Fiat Punto will go on sale across India next week. Pricing information hasn't been published yet. What's Next? The European-spec Punto will not undergo similar updates. An earlier report indicates the nameplate will be phased out entirely in the next couple of years and replaced by a similarly-sized hatchback with a 500-inspired design that will slot between the standard 500 and the larger 500L. Expected to ride on an evolution of the Dodge Dart's Compact U.S. Wide platform, the yet-unnamed Punto replacement will go head-to-head against the Ford Fiesta. 4.
=========== Great anticipation for Fiat's new Compact Sedan: TIPO is its name Expectation for the name of Fiat's new Compact Sedan was high and the wait is now over. A name steeped in history for the new three-box sedan which was revealed in May at the Istanbul Motor Show as the first chapter of the 'Fiat Ægea' Project. Sales of the car will start in Italy in December and be gradually extended to the other EMEA region countries. TIPO: this will be the name sported on the livery of the new Compact Sedan in all EMEA region countries except for Turkey, where the project name turned out to be so successful that it was decided to keep it for the car as well. The symbolic name has been used by Fiat since its earliest days and is now making a comeback on a global model designed to tackle the challenges of the future. The Fiat TIPO is an all-new, four-door car created from the beginning as a three-box sedan embodying the "Born to be Sedan" concept and is enhanced by the balanced shapes characteristic of Italian design to guarantee personality and style without forgoing functionality. The result is a functional car which maximises value for money - this being a crucial concept in the Fiat functional family - and is packed with what customers genuinely appreciate, with a simple range and a transparent commercial offer. It is equipped with reliable, high performing and economical power units: two Multijet II turbo diesel engines and two petrol ones, with manual or automatic transmission and power ratings from 95 to 120 HP. A global model for a global brand: the Fiat TIPO is designed in Italy by the FCA Style Centre, developed in Turkey with Tofaş R&D, made in the Tofaş plant in Bursa - one of the world's best automotive factories which has received a World Class Manufacturing Gold Medal - and sold in over 40 countries in the EMEA area. Hence the project name 'Ægea' to pay homage to a country which has always been strategic for FCA, as demonstrated by the joint venture created in 1968 between what was then the Fiat Group and Koç Holding. 8.

  15. Panda record: the Natural Power car number 300.000 is produced in Pomigliano Yet another record for two Fiat Chrysler Automobiles stars: Panda - the ageless best seller of the Fiat brand, leader of the A class in Europe in 2016, with nearly 15% share, up 1.4% compared to 2015 - and the G. Vico di Pomigliano d'Arco plant, winner of several awards after its full renovation completed in 2011. Manufactured in the plant near Naples, the 300 thousandth Panda Natural Power has been celebrated by staff and is destined to be used in many events, beginning with the forthcoming International Motor Show in Geneva. No other methane-powered car in Europe has the Panda's numbers. It was the first mass produced CNG car, and from 2007 to date, has been the best selling methane car in Europe. During the same time period, behind the Panda is another Fiat car: the Punto. The record-braking Panda is a white Lounge, which will be on show with a custom made livery. Equipped with a two-cylinder TwinAir Turbo Natural Power engine, with dual petrol - methane fuel, it develops 80 HP (59 kW) and consumes 4.5 litres of petrol or 3.1 kilos of methane (per one hundred kilometres of combined cycle), with minimal CO2 emissions: 106 g/km when using petrol and 85g/km when using methane. Compared to petrol, methane reduces CO2 emissions by 23 per cent and nitric oxide emissions by 52 per cent. FCA has been the leader in Europe for petrol-methane dual fuel vehicles for twenty years, with over 700 thousand sold vehicles and a range of six Fiat brand models (Panda, Punto, Qubo, Doblò, 500L and 500L Living), one from Lancia (Ypsilon) and four from Fiat Professional: Fiorino, Doblò Cargo, Ducato and Ducato Panorama. In order to obtain real benefits in air quality, and thus sustainable mobility, we need to continue working on combined traditional and alternative technologies, keeping in mind the specific rules of each market. Among these, methane has the potential of being a renewable source thanks to biomethane, a fuel with high development potential. Biomethane denotes a bio-gas that yields a concentration of methane after a refining process (from urban, agricultural of farming waste), so that it can be used as bio-fuel for engine vehicles just like natural gas. Biomethane produces 20% less CO2 emissions than petrol. The real advantage of biomethane becomes clear when we consider the full life cycle of this fuel, the so called "well-to-wheel" cycle. In this case reduction in CO2 emissions can exceed 95 per cent, depending on the original raw material: biomethane fuelled vehicles produce the same amount of CO2 as electric cars using renewable source energy. If we consider a 40% methane-biomethane mix instead, its CO2 emissions are the same as those of an electric vehicle using energy from the energy mix of European production plants. Like all other Fiat Chrysler Automobiles methane models, the Panda Natural Power is already biomethane compatible. The Pomigliano d'Arco began production in 1972 with the Alfasud model. Over the years, its production lines churned out many models of Alfa Romeo (33 and 155, 145 and 146, 156 and 147, GT and 159) until November 2011, when Panda production began, reaching 830 thousand cars since then. In 2012, the plant obtained a Silver award in the World Class Manufacturing certification programme, as well as the Automotive Lean Production Award as Best in Europe. In 2013 - only a year later, and still within the WCM programme - the plant was certified at Gold level. A new international accolade was obtained in 2014: the Lean and Green Management Award, a testament to the progress made in optimising all "resources" needed to produce cars. The G. Vico plant continues its drive to reduce the environmental impact of production via continuous improvements, including responsible consumption of energy and water, and quality air and waste management. Finally, the plant is often visited by technicians and researchers (not just from the automotive industry), keen to study its technologies and efficiency. Turin, 23 February 2017
  16. Doblò Cargo and New Fiorino triumph in the UK: "What Van?", Britain's the most important specialised magazine, has awarded the two Fiat Professional models and confirmed the high quality of the product. In particular, Doblò Cargo won the "Light Van of the Year" title for the second year running, while Fiorino prevailed in the "Small Van of the Year" category. Doblò Cargo and New Fiorino have been named best vehicles in the "Light Van of the Year" and "Small Van of the Year" categories, respectively, by the expert panel of the prestigious "What Van? Awards 2017", the competition run by Britain's most important magazine specialised in advice for buying and selling light commercial vehicles. For the occasion, Fiat Professional has created a special advertising campaign that celebrates the two coveted accolades. At the award ceremony which took place in London, the "What Van?" panel of experts, with decades of experience in the sector, announced the success of the two models, which together with the iconic Ducato and the recent Fullback and Talento models form the Fiat Professional line-up that has been fully renewed in just two years. Incidentally, the new Fiat Professional Fullback was voted "Pick-up of the Year 2017" in the first competition ran by French magazine "4x4 Magazine" (Editions Larivière). In addition to winning awards, the Fiat Professional line-up today has the right answers to all transport mission needs because all segments are covered with a full array of body types, loading capacities and volumes and a complete choice of wheelbases, widths and height variants, in addition to high-efficiency engines and various fuels options (petrol, diesel, LPG and methane). More in detail, the "Small Van of the Year" award went to the New Fiorino, the evolution of the model which invented the small van segment and of which over 370,000 have been sold since its launch in 2007. With refreshed a design, inside and out, the new Fiat Professional is perfect for use in cities, agile in traffic and easy to park. Despite this, it has a remarkable loading capacity of up to 2.8 cubic metres and can carry up to 660 kilograms of payload. Furthermore, it is top-in-class in terms of performance, low running costs, comfort and functionality. The engine line-up - all Euro 6 - can satisfy all needs. According to the market, the range features two turbo diesel 1.3 MultiJet2 engines with 80 and 95 HP, a 1.4-litre aspirated petrol Fire with 77 HP and the 1.4-litre bi-fuel petrol and methane Natural Power with 70 HP, a solution that only the new Fiorino has in the small van segment. The range counts two configurations (Cargo and Combi), three trim levels (Base, SX and Adventure) and three engine versions (petrol, petrol/methane and diesel). Another winning player is certainly Doblò Cargo, that was named best "Light Van of the Year" by the "What Van?" expert panel for the second year running. The prestigious accolade is added to the other two important awards assigned in the UK during the year, namely that of "Light Van of the Year" for the specialised website VansA2Z and that of "Best Small Van" for the specialised magazines Van Fleet World and Trade Van Driver. In its fourth generation and heir of the winning model that since 2000 has been chosen by over 1.6 million customers, the new Doblò Cargo packs more functions, more performance and more value. These are the guidelines which enabled Fiat Professional to design a top-in-class vehicle in terms of performance, functional characteristics, loading capacity and cost-effective running. These winning features make it a reliable, distinctive vehicle with more value for the customer. According to the markets the range counts for body types (Cargo, Combi, Chassis Cab with flatbed and Workup), various heights, lengths and wheelbases, in addition to a full range of Euro 6 diesel, petrol and petrol/methane engines. This is the most extensive range in the segment, with versions and solutions ranging from vans to special vehicles, including versions converted for specific uses. Noteworthy particularities include loading capacity (up to 5.4 cubic metres) and payload (up to 1 tonne), which are at the top of the category, in addition to exclusive Bi-link suspensions, the innovative Uconnect 5" Nav LIVE touchscreen multimedia system and the most advanced electronic stability control devices, such as ABS with EBD, ESC complete with ASR, HBA and Hill Holder. Traction+ is available on demand. Turin, 13 December 2016

The weight is concentrated between the axles and the engine is installed behind the front axle to guarantee optimal agility and superior driving feel. Sophisticated mechanics and the use of special materials have been used to contain the weight to just 1060 kilograms, which results in a weight-to-power ratio of 6.2 kg/HP, the best in its category. Furthermore, the optimal weight distribution guarantees excellent feedback and agility. The suspension of the 124 spider features high double wishbone suspension on the front and a five-arm multi-link on the rear. The set-up is calibrated specifically to increase stability on corners and for compression braking. Steering feedback is optimised by adopting a specific sports calibration of the power steering system. Under the bonnet is a powerful, ultra-reliable 1.4 litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine with MultiAir technology. It delivers 170 HP (that is about 124 HP per litre) and 250 Nm of torque: it has a top speed of 232 km/h and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. What is more, the engine sound is a fundamental element of all Abarth cars, and standard equipment includes the Record Monza exhaust with dual mode system capable of modifying the path of the exhaust gas according to engine rpm and generating a satisfying, deep sound. The spider is available with a six-speed manual or an automatic Esseesse Sports Sequential gearbox. Supercar engine and mechanics Designed for thrills and performance, 124 spider has all the qualities needed to satisfy even the most difficult-to-please drivers. For exceptional dynamism, Abarth 124 spider fits a standard mechanical self-locking differential which secures drive and traction in the most critical situations and peerless dynamic performance. Perfect weight distribution and light-weight design Abarth 124 Spider creates a new benchmark in the sporty roadster segment and this is confirmed in numbers. Capitalising on the lessons learnt from the Abarth racing range, the obsession for lightness drove the brand to slim down every single unnecessary gram from the car. For instance, the model is fitted with an active bonnet system to comply with the severe pedestrian collision safety standards and has made it possible to avoid changes that would have increased the overall weight of the car and damaged its balancing. With sensors on the crossmembers and two small pyrotechnic loads positioned in the engine compartment, the system detects a collision against a pedestrian and deploys in a few milliseconds to create a safe space between bonnet and engine and thus attenuate the consequences of the impact. Supercar mechanics and suspension layout The suspension of the 124 spider features high double wishbone suspension on the front and a five-arm multi-link on the rear. The set-up is calibrated specifically to increase stability on corners and for compression braking. Steering feedback is optimised by adopting a specific sports calibration of the power steering system. The Abarth dynamic set-up means that rear-wheel traction can be fully exploited to achieve the best driving pleasure. Furthermore, the Abarth by Bilstein shock absorbers, the specifically calibrated springs and the oversized anti-roll bars ensure optimal handling and driving accuracy. The Brembo braking system, with four-piston fixed aluminium callipers on the front wheels, guarantees minimum braking distance and excellent overheating resistance even after prolonged and aggressive use, for always pleasant and safe pedal feeling. A powerful engine and sporty gearboxes for a peerless driving experience Abarth 124 spider fits a powerful, reliable four-cylinder 1.4 litre MultiAir turbo engine. The first is characterised by quick and accurate shifting with a short-stroke direct lever. The Esseesse Sports Sequential gearbox, on the other hand, is the result of careful tuning to exploit all the engine torque and conveys genuine racing sensations. Shifting is very fast using either the stick on the tunnel or the steering wheel paddles. Unadulterated driving feeling Abarth 124 spider fits state-of-the-art active safety electronic devices and features. To guarantee the typical feeling of a racing car on the track all the same, the electronic devices can be switched off by the driver on the new 124 spider to enjoy the perfect mechanical balancing and linear response of the engine, which are the genuine trademarks of an authentic rear-wheel drive sports car. The electronic controls are integrated in the Drive Mode Selector, which makes it possible to select the two different performance settings by means of a lever on the central tunnel: “Normal” and “Sport”. The first is designed for everyday driving, the second is optimised for sporty driving. The system can intervene on multiple parameters: maximum delivered torque, accelerator pedal response, power steering operation level, stability and traction control threshold (if they are not switched off for race track driving), exhaust sound by managing the engine while shifting. Furthermore, it changes the shifting points and shifting speed on cars with automatic transmission. Design true to the Abarth DNA The design of 124 spider reflects its outstanding mechanical layout (this being a key features for achieving perfect proportions on a sports car): the stretched bonnet reasserts the importance of the engine and the high power of the car, the short overhangs enhance agility and the passenger compartment close to the rear axle means that the driver can truly feel the road. The passenger compartment/bonnet ratio is comparable to that of a racing car. A horizontal line rises stretches back and joins with the rear line near the rear light cluster: this is an unmistakable reference to the classic 124 spider. Design was developed with a focus on performance: the large air intake on the front bumper and the rear aerodynamic extractor were fine-tuned in the wind tunnel, together with the rear spoiler and the windscreen for optimising air flows. The finish of the 17” alloy wheel rims, the windscreen surround and the roll bars are “Forgiato Grey”, a colour picked to underline the bold, technical inclination of the car. Two elements contrasting with the black grille are inserted in the bumper: a “Corsa Red” front spoiler and tow hook cap characterise the appearance of the front end and hint to the presence of the classic track day red tow hook. Red is also picked up on the rear-view mirror caps. These three elements are Titanio Grey for the red and blue paintwork combos. The original lines of the front end together with the front hexagonal grille contribute to reasserting the car's bold personality. The bonnet humps suggest the longitudinal position of the engine: this is a direct reference to the original 124 spider. The exclusive LED headlights and rear lights add expressiveness to the car, both during the day and at night. An important detail are the rear light cluster inserts in matching body colour which form a luminous ring-shaped surface. The rear end of 124 spider is characterised by two elements: the swallow-tail section rear wings and the horizontal rear lights which pick up particular features of the car's predecessor. The shape of the rear bumpers with the upper surface jutting into the boot lid conveys a characteristic V-shape to the back of the car. The car is available in five colours: two pastel colours, “Turini 1975 White” and “Costa Brava 1972 Red”, and three metallised colours, “Isolad’Elba 1974 Blue”, “Portogallo 1974 Grey" and “San Marino 1972 Black”. The colours are a homage to the prestigious rally wins of Abarth also in their names. The standard colour is San Marino 1972 Black. In short, Abarth 124 spider is the only car in its category to come with metallised paint as standard. As mentioned, the bonnet and rear lid are matte black. This finish is an unmistakable reference to the classic Abarth 124 Rally on which this solution was adopted to prevent the driver from being dazzled by the sun. Alternatively, customers can choose for their Abarth 124 spider to have the lids in matching body colour for no extra cost. Interior design The Abarth DNA is confirmed also on the inside with an overall focus aimed at guaranteeing perfect ergonomics. Leather seats are supporting and very comfortable at the same time to keep the driver in the ideal position as low and retracted as possible to be able to perceive all side movements of the car. Furthermore, the controls are perfectly in line with the sporty set-up of the car: the position of the aluminium pedal board, the vertical steering wheel and the short gear stick ensure a fully enthralling driving experience. The dashboard features a large tachometer with red background arranged in central position facing the driver and a keyless start system. Comfort is guaranteed by standard heated seats and the excellent soundproofing afforded by the noise deadening windscreen, rear window and double-layer top. The latter is designed to be opened and closed with one hand from the driver's seat in a few seconds. Once folded behind the seats it does not occupy space in the boot. Active and passive safety The new Abarth 124 spider is decked out with a host of state-of-the-art active and passive safety devices. In addition to ABS, standard equipment includes EBD, for adjusting front and rear axle brake force distribution so as to optimise braking distances and guarantee control in all load conditions of the car. Of course, also standard is ESC, for optimal control in all driving conditions, in particular in critical situations, in presence of snow, ice or poor road surfaces. The ESC applies selective braking and acts on the accelerator to take the car back on line if a difference between the driver's action on the steering wheel and trajectory is detected. All these devices can be completely deactivated for driving on the race track allowing the driver to exploit the outstanding balancing and dynamic features of Abarth 124 spider to the max and enjoy an unadulterated and direct driving feeling. The three-point seat belts fit Constant-Force Retractors (CFR) to control the degree of force applied by the belt and then gradually release it in controlled manner. On demand, the Visibility Plus pack includes full-LED self-levelling adaptive headlights with automatic orientation to guarantee the best driving comfort also in poor visibility conditions. These are combined with rain sensor, dusk sensor and parking sensors. Equipment: sportiness and comfort The new Abarth 124 spider has a three-gauge instrument panel featuring a large tachometer in the middle, a speedometer on the right and a display on the left allowing the driver to monitor all key driving information at a glance. Standard equipment includes manual climate control system, stereo with four speakers, mp3 player, USB and AUX ports, cruise control, adjustable and electrically folded wing mirrors. Other equipment available on demand are the Sound Plus pack with an integrated Infotainment system that can be operated using an ergonomic, user-friendly knob on the central tunnel. It includes 7-inch colour touchscreen, DAB digital tuner, two USB ports, an AUX port and Bluetooth connection features. It is combined with a Bose sound system with nine speakers, four of which are built into the head restraints. The pack include automatic climate control. Officine Abarth: high technology and hand-crafted care Officine Abarth, based in Mirafiori, is the place where the 124 spider becomes the archetype of Italian engineering mastery. The model receives a special treatment by Abarth engineers, who are genuine car enthusiasts: the Abarth men and women transfer their value to an already exceptional product by adding the anti-glare racing kit, with matte black treatment on bonnet and boot lid; the Alcantara® racing kit which elevates the overall quality of the interiors while guaranteeing real sporty driving sensations with its dark trim and perfect grip; and finally, the Record Monza exhaust as standard equipment for peerless engine performance and unmistakable sound. Each Abarth 124 spider is tested and certified by an Abarth technician who applies a metal plate showing the sequential number of each car to certify its exclusiveness. The first 2500 cars of the 2016 production batch will be numbered: unique numbered cars for unique customers. 18. The legendary Ducato was born on October 23, 1981 Thirty-five years of successes and records for the emblematic Fiat Professional model that is still today one of the most popular in Europe due to its versatility, engine power and low running costs. Retracing the history of Ducato means leafing through some of the most interesting episodes of the industry. The first Ducato, an extraordinary model that revolutionised the high-capacity van market with its front-wheel drive, engine power and spacious loading area, rolled off the lines at Sevel (Società Europea Veicoli Leggeri), in Val di Sangro (Italy), on October 23, 1981. Production continues today in the largest factory for medium-to-large size vans in the EMEA Region (the five million vehicle mark was reached in 2015). Fiat Professional is celebrating the key moments of these 35 years of history with a dedicated ADV campaign, social media activities on the official Facebook page and an emotional video that will available for viewing from the morning of October 23 on the fiatprofessional.com website. The claim of the campaign that will be broadcast across all the involved channels is "We never dreamed of success. We built it" and represents the undisputed leadership of Ducato in the commercial vehicle category. Not by chance, over the years, Ducato has been progressively developed to become the benchmark and a trendsetter produced in over 10,000 variants and sold in more than 80 countries worldwide. Furthermore, the many body variants, the efficient chassis and the car-like driving has made it the go-to choice for outfitters of special purpose vehicles and camper vans. From the beginning, the first series of Ducato (1981-1990) implemented an array of innovative solutions, like the front transverse engine with traction and tank combined in a single module with the cab. These features made a variety of hitherto unprecedented models possible. The body variants included two roof heights and Van, Combi, Bus and Truck variants. The two wheelbases (2923 and 3653 millimetres) meant the van could total a load volume of 9.8 cubic metres and achieve a permissible gross weight up to 2800 kilograms. In 1984, the use of inclined shock absorbers produced a completely flat load area, and in 1985 the Maxi version increased maximum load to 3500 kilograms. Finally, in 1989, the Fiat Ducato with Steyr-Puch all-wheel drive made an appearance. Ten years after its launch on the market (1990-1994), Ducato achieved its first milestone with the second series, with the four-wheel drive making its grand début: on 1 October 1991, the 500,000th vehicle rolled off the production line. The power of the 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine was upped to 70 kW (95 HP) and an innovative propulsion system, the all-electric Fiat Ducato Elettra, was introduced for the first time. The range was complemented by the introduction of a third wheelbase (3200 millimetres). The third generation (1994-2002) was launched in 1994. CX was improved (dropping to 0.35) and a new vehicle cab design inspired by practical professional requirements was introduced: for the first time in the sector, the gear lever was incorporated into the central console rendering the central part of the floor usable and facilitating access to the cab from both doors and from the cab to the loading compartment: this improved both ergonomics and productivity. Specialist press recognised the innovation and customer focus of the Ducato by awarding it the title of "International Van of the Year 1994". Further improvements aimed at comfort characterised the noughties. For instance, height-adjustable seats and three-spoke steering wheels were introduced on the fourth series (2002-2006) in 2002. The engine line-up of Ducato was also developed. A direct injection Common Rail engine - a major step forward in terms of performance, quiet operation and high efficiency - was adopted for the first time in 2002. Furthermore, Ducato opened the alternative fuel era with its petrol/methane engine, which laid the foundations for the success of brand as European market leader in the methane-powered van sector. The fifth generation of the Ducato joined the scene in 2006, extending the range and further increasing flexibility: it was the first front-wheel van to offer a volume of 17 cubic metres. Most of all, it set the bar in terms of efficient running and low maintenance costs, in addition to fuel efficiency and low emission levels, by offering a wide range of diesel engines implementing second-generation MultiJet technology. The sixth generation launched in 2014 boasted the greatest front axle load (up to 2100 kilograms) and greatest rear axle load (up to 2500 kilograms) for single rear axle vehicles, as well as the highest maximum load. The van version of Ducato could carry a maximum payload of 2100 kilograms. Furthermore, air suspensions on the rear axle were made available for the first time. Over the years, Ducato crossed the borders of Europe to reach Russia, South America, the Middle East and Australia. Today, it is sold in over 80 countries worldwide, including North America since 2013 by RAM under the name of "PROMASTER". Produced in three countries (Mexico, Brazil and Italy) and sold all over the world, Ducato is truly a global vehicle and with its sixth generation it will spur the growth of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in the light commercial vehicles sector. These are the sound foundations on which the renovation of the brand is based. Together with the new products, Fiat Professional is also evolving by expanding the commercial sales force and the dealership network, boosting service quality and accessing new markets with made-to-measure solutions. This means having the right models available, and above all having them available in the right segments - those which represents the largest slice of the sales mix. All this will allow Fiat Professional to balance the European market share with that of Italy and double sales in Africa and the Middle East, where the brand is expanding its network also by exploiting the synergy with Chrysler. At the Hannover Motor Show you will also be able to appreciate the wide range of Mopar, the reference brand for services, Customer Care, original parts and accessories for FCA Group brands. They are all very high quality products that can be selected both when buying a vehicle and at a later time to customise it with services and exclusive accessories. Two models on display (the Ducato and Doblò Cargo) also are fitted out with specific equipment studied by the Technical Service Operation Division of the Mopar brand. Lastly, the stand located inside pavilion 16 boasts a brand new installation design that sets off both the brand's new, ever more customer-oriented approach and the many new products on show. It is all underscored by a number of evocative pictures on the walls and displayed on three LED walls that exhibit the new key vehicles of the different work environments. As the new communication campaign says, "Work never stops", and Ducato, Doblò, New Fiorino, Talento and Fullback are ready to take turns working shifts between one activity and the next, from dawn to the dead of night, to support every professional through and through. Ducato The spotlight at the German show shines on the famous Ducato, the brand's best seller that over 35 years and six generations has been chosen by over 2.9 million customers. Without considering that more than 600,000 families travel in a Fiat Professional Ducato base motorhome, the Ducato base being the undisputed leader in this sector and a benchmark in the category: over 75% of motorhomes in circulation today have a Ducato base. Ever since the dawn of its history, the Ducato model has represented a real brand able to revolutionise its segment with continuous innovations found today on all the light commercial vehicles. And over the years it has gradually enhanced its features to become a trendsetter produced in over 10,000 product variants and sold in more than 80 countries worldwide. This adds up to global success. In 2014 the model was brought up to date to meet new customer needs by offering more technology, more efficiency and more value. And recently the new range of Euro6 engines implementing LPEGR and SCR technology according to the vehicle mission made its début. Visitors to the Fiat Professional stand can get to know three models starting from a new Combi with long wheelbase fitted out with the 150 HP 2.3-litre Multijet2 engine, the best of its class in terms of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. It should be emphasised that the vehicle exhibited comfortably seats 9 people and at the same time boasts a roomy luggage compartment (up to 2 m) that is the best of its class. What's more, it features leather-wrapped steering wheel, level control suspensions, a programmable and independent Webasto heating system, camera and parking sensors, control and speed limiter. The vehicle is distinguished by a refined metallic grey livery with 16" alloy wheels and innovative LED daytime running lights. This version introduces a new family of vehicles dedicated to people transport that will be enriched in 2017 with the new Minibus models that have been fully re-engineered: new interiors, new ergonomic seats, new and efficient air conditioning system and a wide range of customisation for every short or long-range transportation need. Thanks to its low ground clearance and its interior roominess, Ducato is the ideal vehicle for urban and suburban passenger transportation, for both individuals and professionals. On display at the Hannover show will also be an original Ducato set up in collaboration with the Technical Service Operation Division of the Mopar brand. More specifically, starting with the outstanding versatility of the model, the silver grey vehicle is equipped with a 150 HP 2.3-litre Multijet2 engine. It is a smart and innovative solution dedicated to a professional who uses it as a natural extension of his workplace. By using a quick and safe installation and removal system, Mopar offers a range of equipment suited to the diverse needs of customers. The version presented in Hannover displays a composition with three shelving models arranged on the two sides of the Ducato and storage compartments, drawers and tool cases. To enhance mobility, the vehicle also fits a power generator on an extractable top which can be used to operate a 10 bar air compressor in addition to other devices. Finally, other accessories worth mentioning are two telescopic cargo holding bars, a strap holder case and a handy trolley. Lastly, space is given over to a version on a Ducato with cab and flat bed base that demonstrates the exceptional versatility of the model, which lends itself to countless conversions. Distinguished by a white body, the vehicle is equipped with a 180 HP 2.3-litre Multijet2 engine (Euro 6) and a manual 6-speed transmission. Other equipment includes: 16" alloy wheels, cruise control and speed limiter, leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED daytime running lights and driver's seat with springs for extra comfort. Also installed on the vehicle is the Comfort pack that includes the Uconnect Nav 5'' radio, rain and dusk sensors, fog lights, automatic A/C, electrically closing rear-view mirrors and driver assistance systems LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System) and HBR (High Beam Recognition). Fullback In Hannover two Fullback models can be admired. They are both equipped with a 180 HP 2.4-litre aluminium turbo diesel engine combined with four-wheel drive and manual 6-speed transmission. It is the symbolic product of the new range which is introducing the brand to an entirely new playing field and is a major leap towards Fiat Professional's growth as a global brand. Interestingly, pick-up trucks are one of the most important segments in the EMEA region amounting to 22% of the entire commercial vehicle mix. While the average mark in Europe is about 6% and on the rise, in Africa and the Middle East it reaches a remarkable 70%. Perfectly aligned with the top competition in terms of configurations, size and engines, "Fullback", the Fiat Professional "Work Hero", has been created to answer the specific needs of professional customers: its great flexibility makes it suitable for all kinds of work and non-work uses. The spotlight is trained on the Fullback that recently took part, as the Official Vehicle, in the famous 2016 MXGP FIM Motocross World Championship, where Fiat Professional was Official Sponsor besides the Title Sponsor in the three races held in Belgium, Italy and the UK. This particular model is in the "extended cab" configuration and features a sporty dark fabric covering matched with a special livery in keeping with the motocross theme, made in collaboration with Garage Italia Customs. Its equipment includes: underbody skid plates for off-road use, black 16" alloy wheels, black front grille, specific side steps and steel sport bar painted black that emphasises its sporty look. The second model on display is a "double cab" in the rich LX version, with white livery and dark fabric interior. The vehicle is embellished with tubular side steps, underbody skid plates for off-road use and 17" alloy wheels. The standard equipment includes the automatic A/C unit and the 7" touch display radio with built-in navigation system and rear camera. Also carrying the Mopar signature are several accessories installed on the vehicle, such as the logo valve caps, fabric mats and the loading compartment lining. Talento The spotlight will also be focused on the new Talento, the model that with its generous loading capacity is the ideal work mate for professionals in city streets and on major roads alike. Its features include outstanding versatility and the ability to adapt to the most diverse needs of customers. Its highly symbolic name evokes the innate qualities of the vehicle and the concept of value by making reference to the name of an ancient coin as in the best Fiat Professional tradition. The result is a functional vehicle that enhances the value of work, time and money of professionals by focusing on their real needs. Talento is link between Doblò Cargo and Ducato and is allowing Fiat Professional to cover new load volumes and lengths and compete in the 2P segment with an ideal-sized wheelbase. The New Talento line-up covers new volumes and load lengths to fully meet all professional transport needs. The opening of the "CargoPlus" partition situated under the passenger seats allows professionals to carry objects measuring up to 3.75 metres in length (4.15 m for the long wheelbase trim level). Its extraordinary accessibility is also guaranteed by the threshold of just 552 mm and the 1030 mm width of the sliding door (100 mm from the floor). The load volume equals 5.2 m3 in the short wheelbase trim level, 6 m3 in the long wheelbase trim level and a generous 8.6 m3 in the long wheelbase and raised roof trim level; this means that the New Talento, even in the short wheelbase trim level, is capable of carrying 3 Euro pallets. Two models are on display in Hannover: a cargo version and another for passenger transport. The first vehicle distinguished by a pastel white livery, matt black 17" alloy wheels and "Techno Silver" interior including black dashboard and instrument trim painted silver. It is then entirely embellished with silver or chrome interior details. The vehicle is equipped with the 125 HP 1.6 EcoJet S&S TwinTurbo engine with 320 Nm combined with a manual 6-speed transmission that adopts both SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology for reducing emissions of nitrogen oxides, thanks to the use of AdBlue® solution, and a TwinTurbo that reduces emissions and fuel consumption, and consequently also operating costs. The equipment of the vehicle is completed with three Mopar accessories that make it even more functional: rubber mats, LED interior lights and a smartphone support on the dashboard. Distinguished by its elegant metallic green paintwork and two comfortable rear sliding doors, the second Talento on display has Matt Black 17" alloy wheels and "Living Brown" interior (black/brown dashboard and glossy black trim with chrome details). A further touch of elegance is given by some internal chrome and glossy black elements, and four Mopar accessories, such as side steps, a smartphone support on the dashboard, fabric mats and protective loading compartment threshold. It is equipped with the 145 HP 1.6 EcoJet S&S TwinTurbo with 340 Nm, combined with a manual 6-speed transmission that is also fitted out with SCR technology and a two-stage turbocharger. Both models on show are equipped with upper grid with black bars, A/C, rear camera, fog lights and LED daytime running lights built into the bumpers, plus the 7" Radio Touch Nav including the navigation system, AM/FM (+DAB) radio, USB and AUX ports for music files and Bluetooth® technology for hands-free phone use. Mobility Solution: reduction of the "Total Cost of Ownership", customised business solutions for customers and sustainability Together with movability solutions made-to-measure, Fiat Professional boasts an increasingly customer-oriented approach that can be deduced from its constant attention both to reducing "Total Cost of Ownership" and sustainability. In particular, durability, robustness and consequent increase in the residual value, combined with efficiency and low operating costs and the reduction in price of spare parts, allow the Fiat Professional models to boast some of the lowest maintenance and repair costs in its class, an essential contribution to the improvement of Total Cost of Ownership between the purchase and the sale of the vehicle. Similarly, Fiat Professional is committed to offering sustainable solutions to a wide range of customers, to reducing the environmental impact of its vehicles throughout their life cycle and to responding to consumer demands in every market where it operates. It is not by chance that the brand offers the widest range of LCVs with the methane fuel option, thus contributing to FCA's unquestioned leadership in the European market: from 1997 to the present, the group sold over 700,000 cars and commercial vehicles powered by methane fuel. New Fiorino Another new model of the range exhibited at the Hannover Motor Show is the new Fiorino, the evolution of the model that invented the small van segment. With refreshed a design, inside and out, the New Fiorino is perfect for use in cities, agile in traffic and easy to park. Despite this, it has a remarkable loading capacity of up to 2.8 m3 and can carry up to 660 kg of payload. Furthermore, the New Fiorino is at the top of its class in terms of performance, low running costs, comfort and functionality. Interestingly, the stand displays a Natural Power version equipped with the 70 HP 1.4 engine boasting a dual petrol and methane fuel supply - a solution that only the Fiorino offers in the small van segment - ensuring an autonomy up to 960 km. The natural gas is loaded in two steel cylinders located under the floor, with a total capacity of 77 litres (the equivalent of about 13 kg of gas). In this way, the loading compartment remains perfectly flat and even over its entire length so that it can be put to optimum use with a guaranteed volume of 2.4 m3, complete with a revolving partition and a 500 kg payload (driver included). Proposed in the SX version, the vehicle on show is characterised by its A/C unit, 5" Touchscreen Bluetooth Nav Radio, leather steering wheel with radio controls, 15" trekking alloy wheels, parking sensors and fog lights. Doblò Cargo The heir to a winning model - it has been sold to over 1.6 million customers from 2000 to date - the Doblò Cargo offers the widest range in its segment (from vans to combis, plus the conversion versions for specific uses) and aims at consolidating its position in this market segment, which makes up approximately 25% of the European total light commercial vehicles. Its particularities include top-in-class loading capacity (up to 5.4 m³) and payload (up to 1 tonne), in addition to the adoption of exclusive Bi-link suspensions and a complete range of Euro6 engines (turbo diesel, petrol and petrol/methane). The Hannover Motor Show hosts a Natural Power version equipped with the dual fuel engine (petrol/methane) which grants performance levels worthy of the petrol version but with all the economic and environmental benefits offered by methane. In detail, the 1.4-litre 16V T-JET Natural Power develops a maximum power of 120 HP (both when running on petrol and on methane) and progressive torque values (206 Nm at 3000 rpm). Hence, gear flexibility is high, with reduced use of the 6-speed transmission, for an enjoyable and relaxing drive. Simply press on the accelerator for a nifty response, helped by the reduced inertia of the turbocharger. Doblò Cargo Natural Power is therefore a vehicle that cares about both the environment as well as the needs of the active family: indeed the useful volume of the boot remains unchanged since the methane cylinders are placed under the floor. The total capacity is 95 litres, equal to roughly 16 kg of natural gas, for the short wheelbase versions equipped with 4 cylinders (the long wheelbase versions have 5 cylinders which contain 130 litres/about 22 kg of methane) which are supplemented by the 22 litre capacity of the petrol tank. The vehicle's equipment includes: automatic A/C, 5" Touchscreen Nav Live Radio, leather steering wheel with radio controls, parking sensors and fog lights. Moreover, it includes the multifunctional front seat bench which makes it possible to use 3 seats and also provides a generous storage compartment underneath. The central seat is folding and can be used as an armrest or as a convenient document storage compartment, while the side seat is also folding to allow transportation of long items and related anchorage using practical retaining hooks in the back of the seat. Like the Ducato described above, the model displayed has been set up in collaboration with the Technical Service Operation Division of the Mopar brand. In detail, the Doblò Cargo in Hannover is fitted out with an entire set of equipment ideal for the different needs of its customers. In detail, a modular composition of shelving complete with storage compartments, shelves with drawers and tool cases that can be arranged on both sides of the vehicle can be admired. It will also be possible to view a set of accessories including telescopic cargo holding bars, strap holder cases, a handy trolley and much more. Ram 1500 Quad Cab Sport For the first time ever the Ram Truck brand is taking part in the Hannover Motor Show, thus marking the brand's début as an integration of the Commercial Vehicles offer to seize all the potentials of the EMEA market. The vehicle on display is the Ram 1500 Quad Cab Sport with 5.7-litre HEMI® petrol engine and automatic 8-speed transmission. Distinguished by a Bright White livery, the vehicle has been modified to accommodate an LPG system, a very common option in Europe which allows the driver to switch between two fuel options (LPG or petrol) and to reduce fuel consumption while maintaining high performance driving. Ideal for both work and leisure activities, the versatility of this configuration is further confirmed by the Mopar accessories created for commercial vehicles, including the side steps and black tool case. In addition, the Ram 1500 Quad Cab Sport offers a tow bar approved for the European market, and standing out among the options are the bucket seats with leather inserts, the loading compartment with tilting flat surface, the rear axle ratio of 3.92 and rear axle with anti-roll differential. Finally, the vehicle has a hood for sports performance and an under rail cargo bed covering.

  23. “Born to be professional”: Fiat Professional introduces its "full liner" range: Fiat Professional's "full liner" range The pivotal year for Fiat Professional will be 2016, the one when the brand's "full liner" range will be revealed in all its glory. The brand has been continuously evolving to prepare to tackle the crucial challenges with new products, a novel, even more customer-oriented approach and the determination to open new roads in the global market. Not by chance, this was the first brand "born to be professional". Fiat Professional, entirely dedicated to light transport, can boast over one hundred years of history and a one-of-a-kind baggage of experience in the world of commercial vehicles. Skills have been consolidated over time with unremitting enthusiasm to take on challenges and constantly develop without fearing change. The approach is one of professionals who address other professionals, with innovative and targeted business solutions and an increasingly extensive range. Completely refreshed in just two years, the Fiat Professional line-up today has the right answers to all transport mission needs because all segments are covered. All body types, loading capacities and volumes, a complete choice of wheelbases, widths and height variants, in addition to high-efficiency engines and various fuels options (petrol, diesel, LPG and methane). What is more, the brand places assertive focus on "specialities", such as passenger transport and the world of converted vehicles. So, with this increasingly more customer-oriented approach come new prospects for presenting the line-up dedicated to work and to making businesses grow. Fiat Professional is the only commercial vehicle brand to have a team entirely dedicated to this business area and supports customers with professional mobility solutions for work and leisure. In brief: professionals who support a community of professionals who successfully complete their missions day by day with pride. The product that symbolises this innovation is the Fullback pick-up truck which is introducing the brand to entirely new playing field and is a major leap towards the growth of Fiat Professional as a global brand. Interestingly, pick-up trucks are one of the most important segments in the EMEA region amounting to 22% of the entire commercial vehicle mix. While the average mark in Europe is about 6% and on the rise, in Africa and the Middle East it reaches a remarkable 70%. Fullback is the result of a partnership - based on a technical platform of absolute and tried and tested value - and is built on a body-on-frame architecture which guarantees capacity, capabilities and resistance to extreme efforts, like travelling fully loaded off-road. In short, as the name suggests, it is a player created to open the way to new prospects. In rugby and in American football, the fullback is the last man in defence, but also the first to rush towards the opponent's line. Fullbacks need to be ready to adapt to all situations: tough and reliable in defence, fast and explosive for the counter-attack. Perfectly in tune with best competition in terms of configuration, dimensions and engines, the Fullback pick-up truck is the new Fiat Professional "Work Hero". By its side is Talento, the model that with its generous loading capacity is the ideal work mate for professionals in city streets and on major roads alike. Also new in the line-up is the new Fiorino, the evolution of the model that invented the small van segment. With refreshed a design, inside and out, the new Fiat Professional vehicle is perfect for use in cities, agile in traffic and easy to park. Despite this, it has a remarkable loading capacity of up to 2.8 m3 and can carry up to 660 kg of payload. Furthermore, the new Fiorino is at the top of its class in terms of performance, low running costs, comfort and functionality. Ducato and Doblò Cargo complete the Fiat Professional team. The first is the best-seller of the brand, which over 35 years and six generations has been chosen by over 2.9 million customers. Without considering that more than 600,000 families travel in a Fiat Ducato base motorhome, the Ducato base being the undisputed leader in this sector and a benchmark in the category: over 75% of motorhomes in circulation today have a Ducato base. To keep on playing a leading role in the segment, in 2014 the model was restyled to accommodate the new requirements of customers, offering them more technology, more efficiency and more value. Today, it has become the talk of the town once again for its new range of Euro6 engines implementing LPEGR and SCR technology according to the vehicle mission. Last but not least, Doblò Cargo offers the biggest range of its segment, spanning from vans to special vehicles and conversions for specific uses. The heir to a winning model - it has been sold to over 1 million 675 thousand customers from 2000 to date - the vehicle aims at consolidating its position in this market segment, which makes up approximately 25% of the European total light commercial vehicles. Its particularities include top-in-class loading capacity (up to 5.4 m³) and payload (up to 1 tonne), in addition to the adoption of exclusive Bi-link suspensions and a complete range of Euro6 engines (turbo diesel, petrol and petrol/methane) which stand out for their performance and fuel-efficiency. All are winning models, capable of responding to all professional needs, that cover 97% of the market: these are the sound foundations on which the renovation of the brand is based. For the new line-up, Fiat Professional has created a new advertising project that will feature the Fullback together with the other models always in action. A close, winning team ready to take on any challenge. But that's not all. Fullback is the "product hero" of the official fleet of Motorcross World Championship (MXGP), of which Fiat Professional is Official Sponsor and Title Sponsor in three of main races of the championship, in the UK, Belgium and Italy. This sponsorship project is very important and perfect for the pick-up truck to express its sporty temperament and its off-road vocation. Talento and Fullback Converted with Specific Equipment Four Talento and three Fullback models converted with specific equipment will be introduced at the presentation of the new range to the international press. These are only a few significant examples of the remarkable flexibility of the Fiat Professional models, which are ideal for passenger transport, from shuttles to assisted mobility, and versatile for professional use: mobile workshops, flatbeds, insulated vans or with refrigerated cell, camper vans for leisure and vehicles for Public Authorities to name a few. In brief, there is no professional activity or mobility need that cannot be satisfied by a Fiat Professional vehicle conversion, as demonstrated by the collaboration with the major European outfitters. More in detail, the first Talento (long wheelbase, low roof) showcases an example of conversion for use by disabled passengers. The vehicle on show was converted by Olmedo and is equipped with electro-hydraulic rear lift and modular rear floor, with quick-release seats to allow outstanding configuration flexibility: the vehicle can carry either nine passengers or eight passengers and two wheelchairs. The second Talento (long wheelbase, low roof) was outfitted for exclusive shuttle services with seven leather seats, swivelling second row, floor with rails and ABS lining. This conversion was made in partnership with Focaccia. The third Talento (short wheelbase, low roof) was converted by Plastoblock into an A.T.P. classified insulated vehicle, capable of maintaining constant temperatures of even 0°C. In particular, a refrigerated cell suitable for transporting pharmaceuticals or food may be obtained by applying a refrigerating unit. The Talento line-up is completed by a fourth proposal (short wheelbase, low roof) converted by Storevan into a mobile workshop made of automotive galvannealled steel and featuring a quick and flexible modular fixing system. The spotlight will also be on the Fullback, the new Fiat Professional model which is perfect for multiple conversions. The first example, based on an Extended Cab model, was made by Cold Car and features a eutectic solution low-temperature refrigerated body which is ideal for daily deliveries of frozen food products. The second pick-up truck was converted into a mobile workshop by NCT and features modular and reconfigurable aluminium section bars for transporting equipment and spare parts for on-site maintenance services. Finally, in collaboration with OMARS, a Fullback (Double Cab) was converted for roadside rescue services by fitting a towing forklift.
  24. Created in 1936, the iconic car revolutionised the concept of motor vehicle. For occasion, four days in the most symbolic places in Turin, starting from the Lingotto. On Thursday 16 and 6:30 p.m. at MAUTO, conference on classic car heritage with Roberto Giolito. A great international event will be staged in Turin from June 16 to 19, to celebrate the eightieth anniversary of the Fiat 500 "Topolino" organised by the "Ling80" Committee. The iconic car was the symbol of motorisation not only in Italy and the benchmark in the years around World War II. It was Fiat's first economical car to be launched before the war and represented a revolution in how cars were made and perceived by the public: with the Topolino, motor cars were to become personal mobility instruments and expressions of unprecedented freedom. Celebrations will kick off in the former Lingotto plant, where on the day after tomorrow over two hundred Topolinos will climb up the famous elliptical ramp and stand on the test track on the roof of the historical building where production of the model started in 1936. With this ambitious project, engineer Dante Giacosa wanted to make motor cars accessible to as many people as possible. Made until 1955, the Topolino was the undisputed star of the reconstruction of Italy after the war. Again on Thursday, the cars will be parade from the Lingotto to the Pralormo Castle. The procession will be opened by the car owned by Dante Giacosa, which is now on show at the Fiat Heritage Centre. The parade will touch various key locations in and around the city during the various days of the event, including the royal hunting residence of Stupinigi, Racconigi Castle, Moncalieri, Piazza Vittorio Veneto, the Juventus Stadium, the Mirafiori Motor Village and the National Automobile Museum. Precisely the latter location will be the stage for a conference focusing on the classic car history entitled "Back to the future", with Roberto Giolito, Head of Heritage FCA Italy on Thursday at 6.30 p.m. Starting from the concept of how the Topolino was the expression of all-encompassing automotive ingenuity, with its innovative engine, chassis, suspension and interior layout concept, Roberto Giolito will illustrate the invaluable legacy of this revolutionary motor car and how its concept and engineering was to influence many later models. The city of Turin and the Lingotto building will be the natural locations for this commemorative event. Opened in 1923, the Fiat factory is still admired today for its modernity and elegant vertical development. At the time, the solution of building a test track on the roof gained the admiration of architect Le Corbusier. Even before having been completed, the building which had been designed as a place of work had become the symbol of the burgeoning Italian industry and soon gained a footing in the nation's collective imaginary. The cars which like the Topolino rolled off the lines here have travelled through the decades and contributed to motorising Italy until production was transferred to more modern plants. After having been decommissioned, the Lingotto was renovated to suit the needs of a changing urban fabric: from fine example of industrial archaeology, the factory underwent a long interior refurbishment while maintaining its characteristic exterior appearance unaltered. It is an iconic location where the car which has rightfully gained its place in history was made. Turin, 14 June 2016
  25. The New 595 Line-Up: Even More Abarth Following the launch of Abarth 124 spider, it is the evolution of the Abarth icon that since 2008 has gained enthusiasts at global level. Available as hatchback or convertible, the line-up features three trim levels – 595, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione – corresponding to three levels of engine power and tuning. One of the major innovations is the increased power of the 1.4 T-jet engine equipping the 595 (145 HP) and 595 Turismo (165 HP) versions, the latter with Garrett turbine. The 595 Competizione is now optionally available with mechanical limited-slip differential (Abarth D.A.M.) to improve traction in extreme conditions. Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) shock absorbers for 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione. New front end with oversized air intake, new and more pronounced rear diffuser and new specific inserts. New polyelliptical headlight clusters and LED daylights are standard. Xenon headlights available on request. The new 17” Granturismo alloy rims are 7% lighter and with more than 50% greater ventilating surface. New body colours: Modena Yellow, Abarth Red, three-layer Iridato White and the Scorpione Black/Podio Blue, Scorpione Black/Record Grey and Pista Grey/Abarth Red two-colour combos. The interiors are even more exclusive with the use of new technical materials, such as Alcantara® and carbon fibre. Corsa by Sabelt leather and Alcantara® seats with carbon shell are available on demand. New sporty flat-bottom steering wheel with viewfinder and a one-of-a-kind racing-derived instrument panel. Début of the Uconnect system – of which two 5’’ and 7” HD versions are available with high-def screen, navigator and DAB digital radio – and of the powerful 480 W BeatsAudio™ Hi-Fi system with seven speakers. FCA Bank, dedicated to motorists, is supporting the launch of the New 595 Abarth with an array of specific financing packages, insurance products and services tailored for each European market. It has been just over two months since the launch of Abarth 124 spider and now the brand with the Scorpion trademark is generating buzz again. The New Abarth 595 is the development of the iconic model: more powerful engines, even richer standard equipment and plenty of product innovations, some of which are usually reservedfor higher segment cars. With sales kicking off in June across the EMEA region, the new Abarth model is reasserting its reputation as a compact, lightweight and agile car and as a unique model in terms of configuration and tuning. In brief, the New Abarth 595 is the natural heir of the model launched in 2008 andpresent worldwide.Performance, technology and iconic Italian style are the key factors of a very successful strategy. Available as a hatchback or convertible, the New Abarth 595 is offered with three trim levels (595, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione) and three power levels to satisfy the requirements of increasingly demanding and competent customers. Many of the upgrades introduced are the result of experience gained with the development of the 695 Biposto, dubbed the "smallest supercar", which implements real racing thrills and technology on a street-legal car. The distinctive yet affordable 595version is the Abarth entry levelmodel and offers all the standard equipment needed to ensure typical Scorpion enjoyment and driving pleasure. What is more, 595 is the ideal base for drivers who want to tune their car over time and make it unique. The 595 Competizione and 595 Turismo versions express other two distinctive souls of Abarth. The first, more "purist", is designed for those who love performance and no-compromise sportiness. The second, on the other hand, makes reference to the typical values of the Italian GTs in a compact size perfect for use in cities. Engine and gearbox One of the biggest innovations is the increased power of the 1.4 T-jet engine installed on the 595 and 595 Turismo versions. The first delivers 145 HP and 206 Nm of peak torque, while the second reaches 165 HP and 230 Nm. What is more, the latter is fitted with aGarrett turbine. On the other hand, 595 Competizione with its 180 HP is the car for drivers who crave racing adrenaline in terms of both performance and technical features. Accelerating from 0-100 in 6.7” and then braking safely with the oversize Brembo braking system with four-piston fixed aluminium callipers will be a pleasure in the anatomical “Abarth Corsa by Sabelt” shell seats. Moreover, the engine also achieves a specific power of 132 HP/litre as a result of the high-performance Record Monza exhaust with dual mode system. This exclusive feature is available, on request, on the rest of the range, together with the Record Modena exhaust that ensures identical performance combined with a less aggressive looking tailpipe. As standard, all variants of the 1.4 T-jet engine are paired with a mechanical five-speed gearbox but they can be fitted with an Abarth robotised sequential gearbox with shift paddles. Abarth D.A.M. The New Abarth 595 is the only car in its segment to fit a truly exclusive mechanical limited-slip differential (Abarth D.A.M.), for superlative performance. Available on demand, the Abarth mechanical limited-slip differential is available on the 595 Competizionewith manual transmission and derives directly from the experience acquired on the 695 Biposto. The Abarth mechanical limited-slip differential exploits the full potential of the 595 Competizione to the utmost and improves traction in extreme conditions. The mechanical limited-slip differential ensures adequate torque transferbetween the front wheels when either has less grip (a typical example is the different speed coming out of curves taken with high lateral load). This equipment allows the driver to close the line and eliminates understeer. Abarth D.A.M. is contained in the new Performance Pack – available on the New Abarth 595 Competizione with manual gearbox only – which includes 17” Supersport rims and Sabelt leather/Alcantara® seats with carbon shell, carved aluminium 595 badgeand the red, white or glossy black customisation pack to personalise the look of the car. Brakes, suspension and Sport button Standard on 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione are the Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) rear shock absorbers that optimise the driving experience and safety by improving road-hold, handling and stability. And now, the same shocks are fitted as standard on 595 Competizione on the front suspension, with a considerable increase in dynamic performance. Also on the top-of-the-range version is theBrembobraking system with four-piston aluminium monoblock fixed callipers – standard red or optionally grey, black or yellow – combined with 305 mm ventilated and perforated discs. The standard callipers are instead black on the 595 Turismo, with red or yellow offered as alternatives. Finally, the New Abarth 595 also fits a Sport buttonto change different parameters of the car: from maximum torque output to power steering calibration to get a more direct and less invasive feel. Furthermore, the system adjusts the accelerator pedal calibration to guarantee prompter response and the TFT instrument panel switches to racing configuration, in perfect Abarth style. Exteriors On the outside, the New Abarth 595 has plenty of new features which improve performance. The front end, for example, was redesigned and nowhas an oversized air intake: this improves heat management in the engine compartment and increases cooling capacity by 18%. So, performance and regularity of engine delivery are increased, even in the case of more extreme racing tuning. Abarth engineers also worked on the rear bumper creating a more pronounced diffuser. Specific bumper inserts have also been created for each trim level. They are matte black for the 595, in matching body colour on the 595 Turismo and with the tar cold grey finish on the 595 Competizione. The front and rear headlight clusters are also new, with polyelliptical headlights and LED daytime running lights on the entire range as standard equipment. Xenon headlights are optionally available. They ensure better emitted light quality and excellent efficiency in all weather conditions because they are nearly three times brighter and longer lasting than normal halogen headlights. The new 17’’ Granturismo rims (standard on 595 Turismo) are 7% lighter and have over 50% more ventilating surface to the benefit of heat dissipation, and enhanced and more consistent braking system performance as a consequence. The distinctive features of the new Abarth 595 include new satin chrome trim on the 595 and Turismo versions, new mirror caps (satin chrome on 595 Turismo, matching body colour on 595 and tar cold grey on 595 Competizione) and the side stripes (standard on 595 Competizione), now wider and longer to give greater emphasis to the Abarth brand. Available in 15 body colours - including pastel, metallic and three-layer paints and five two-tone liveries - the exciting colour palette of the New Abarth 595 includes besides standard Pista Grey the exclusive Modena Yellow, until now only available on the 695 Biposto Record, the sporty and bright new Abarth Red pastel and the new three-layer Iridato White. Making their début are the three new two-colour combos: Scorpione Black/Podio Blue and Scorpione Black/Record Grey and Pista Grey/Abarth Red. Finally, three packs for customising the appearance of the car are available on demand with Abarth side sticker, mirror caps and front and rear bumper inserts in three colours: white, black or red. Interiors The New Abarth 595 is completely new on the inside, too. New technical materials, like Alcantara® and carbon fibre cleverly reassert the sporty character of the model. Furthermore, new upholstery is available on the entire range. In particular, the 595 version offers specific Abarth fabric seats characterised by extraordinary lateral support. The 595 Turismoversion comes with black, tan or red leather seats, while standard on the 595 Competizione are the Corsa by Sabelt seats, amongst the best supporting seats on the market today.
