The legendary Ducato was born on October 23, 1981 Thirty-five years of successes and records for the emblematic Fiat Professional model that is still today one of the most popular in Europe due to its versatility, engine power and low running costs. Retracing the history of Ducato means leafing through some of the most interesting episodes of the industry. The first Ducato, an extraordinary model that revolutionised the high-capacity van market with its front-wheel drive, engine power and spacious loading area, rolled off the lines at Sevel (Società Europea Veicoli Leggeri), in Val di Sangro (Italy), on October 23, 1981. Production continues today in the largest factory for medium-to-large size vans in the EMEA Region (the five million vehicle mark was reached in 2015). Fiat Professional is celebrating the key moments of these 35 years of history with a dedicated ADV campaign, social media activities on the official Facebook page and an emotional video that will available for viewing from the morning of October 23 on the fiatprofessional.com website. The claim of the campaign that will be broadcast across all the involved channels is "We never dreamed of success. We built it" and represents the undisputed leadership of Ducato in the commercial vehicle category. Not by chance, over the years, Ducato has been progressively developed to become the benchmark and a trendsetter produced in over 10,000 variants and sold in more than 80 countries worldwide. Furthermore, the many body variants, the efficient chassis and the car-like driving has made it the go-to choice for outfitters of special purpose vehicles and camper vans. From the beginning, the first series of Ducato (1981-1990) implemented an array of innovative solutions, like the front transverse engine with traction and tank combined in a single module with the cab. These features made a variety of hitherto unprecedented models possible. The body variants included two roof heights and Van, Combi, Bus and Truck variants. The two wheelbases (2923 and 3653 millimetres) meant the van could total a load volume of 9.8 cubic metres and achieve a permissible gross weight up to 2800 kilograms. In 1984, the use of inclined shock absorbers produced a completely flat load area, and in 1985 the Maxi version increased maximum load to 3500 kilograms. Finally, in 1989, the Fiat Ducato with Steyr-Puch all-wheel drive made an appearance. Ten years after its launch on the market (1990-1994), Ducato achieved its first milestone with the second series, with the four-wheel drive making its grand début: on 1 October 1991, the 500,000th vehicle rolled off the production line. The power of the 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine was upped to 70 kW (95 HP) and an innovative propulsion system, the all-electric Fiat Ducato Elettra, was introduced for the first time. The range was complemented by the introduction of a third wheelbase (3200 millimetres). The third generation (1994-2002) was launched in 1994. CX was improved (dropping to 0.35) and a new vehicle cab design inspired by practical professional requirements was introduced: for the first time in the sector, the gear lever was incorporated into the central console rendering the central part of the floor usable and facilitating access to the cab from both doors and from the cab to the loading compartment: this improved both ergonomics and productivity. Specialist press recognised the innovation and customer focus of the Ducato by awarding it the title of "International Van of the Year 1994". Further improvements aimed at comfort characterised the noughties. For instance, height-adjustable seats and three-spoke steering wheels were introduced on the fourth series (2002-2006) in 2002. The engine line-up of Ducato was also developed. A direct injection Common Rail engine - a major step forward in terms of performance, quiet operation and high efficiency - was adopted for the first time in 2002. Furthermore, Ducato opened the alternative fuel era with its petrol/methane engine, which laid the foundations for the success of brand as European market leader in the methane-powered van sector. The fifth generation of the Ducato joined the scene in 2006, extending the range and further increasing flexibility: it was the first front-wheel van to offer a volume of 17 cubic metres. Most of all, it set the bar in terms of efficient running and low maintenance costs, in addition to fuel efficiency and low emission levels, by offering a wide range of diesel engines implementing second-generation MultiJet technology. The sixth generation launched in 2014 boasted the greatest front axle load (up to 2100 kilograms) and greatest rear axle load (up to 2500 kilograms) for single rear axle vehicles, as well as the highest maximum load. The van version of Ducato could carry a maximum payload of 2100 kilograms. Furthermore, air suspensions on the rear axle were made available for the first time. Over the years, Ducato crossed the borders of Europe to reach Russia, South America, the Middle East and Australia. Today, it is sold in over 80 countries worldwide, including North America since 2013 by RAM under the name of "PROMASTER". Produced in three countries (Mexico, Brazil and Italy) and sold all over the world, Ducato is truly a global vehicle and with its sixth generation it will spur the growth of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in the light commercial vehicles sector. Fiat Professional presents the complete, refreshed line-up at the IAA in Hannover: The new full line range at the biggest European exhibition of commercial and industrial vehicles. The spotlight is on the Ducato, the best seller celebrating its 35-year anniversary and more than 2.9 million customers. The model is equipped with the new Euro 6 engines and now available is a new long 9-passenger People Mover that represents an important step taken by Fiat Professional towards the Minibus segment. Space is given over to the versatile Talento and the unstoppable Fullback, also in the captivating MXGP livery with which the brand participated in the World Championship as an Official Sponsor. Not just products, but Mobility Solutions as well: FP's commitment to reducing the "Total Cost of Ownership" and developing customised solutions to meeting its customers' needs. Sustainability: Fiat Professional once again confirms its commitment starting from experience and the most extensive CNG offer of the sector, with the New Fiorino and Doblò Cargo models in the Natural Power version (petrol/methane fuel feed) exhibited. The Ram Truck brand is making its début in Hannover as an integration of the Commercial Vehicles offer to seize all the potentials of the EMEA market. On display is a Ram 1500 Quad Cab Sport with automatic transmission and torque converter. Mopar accessories and services tailored for professionals complete the exhibition. The 66th edition of the Hannover International Motor Show, the biggest European exhibition of commercial and industrial vehicles, will take place from 22nd to 29th September. The event will gather professionals and major vehicle manufacturers, including Fiat Professional, in the German city. Fiat Professional has always played an important role in the sale of light commercial vehicles in the German market. In Hannover, Fiat Professional is displaying the entire line-up. After being completely refreshed in just two years, today it has the right answers to all transport mission needs because all segments are covered. All body types, loading capacities and volumes, a complete choice of wheelbases, widths and height variants, in addition to high-efficiency engines and various fuel options (petrol, diesel, LPG and methane). Furthermore, as proof of the extraordinary flexibility of its models, Fiat Professional is focusing utmost attention on the "specialities", such as people transport and vehicle conversion. This sector includes shuttles, assisted mobility, mobile workshops, vehicles with cargo beds, vehicles insulated or fitted with cold storage compartments, motorhomes for leisure time and public administration vehicles. In brief, any professional activity or mobility need can be satisfied by Fiat Professional vehicle conversions, as demonstrated by the collaboration with the major European outfitters. In short, the new Fiat Professional range is capable of responding to all professional needs by covering 97% of the market. These are the sound foundations on which the renovation of the brand is based. Together with the new products, Fiat Professional is also evolving by expanding the commercial sales force and the dealership network, boosting service quality and accessing new markets with made-to-measure solutions. This means having the right models available, and above all having them available in the right segments - those which represents the largest slice of the sales mix. All this will allow Fiat Professional to balance the European market share with that of Italy and double sales in Africa and the Middle East, where the brand is expanding its network also by exploiting the synergy with Chrysler. At the Hannover Motor Show you will also be able to appreciate the wide range of Mopar, the reference brand for services, Customer Care, original parts and accessories for FCA Group brands. They are all very high quality products that can be selected both when buying a vehicle and at a later time to customise it with services and exclusive accessories. Two models on display (the Ducato and Doblò Cargo) also are fitted out with specific equipment studied by the Technical Service Operation Division of the Mopar brand. Lastly, the stand located inside pavilion 16 boasts a brand new installation design that sets off both the brand's new, ever more customer-oriented approach and the many new products on show. It is all underscored by a number of evocative pictures on the walls and displayed on three LED walls that exhibit the new key vehicles of the different work environments. As the new communication campaign says, "Work never stops", and Ducato, Doblò, New Fiorino, Talento and Fullback are ready to take turns working shifts between one activity and the next, from dawn to the dead of night, to support every professional through and through. Ducato The spotlight at the German show shines on the famous Ducato, the brand's best seller that over 35 years and six generations has been chosen by over 2.9 million customers. Without considering that more than 600,000 families travel in a Fiat Professional Ducato base motorhome, the Ducato base being the undisputed leader in this sector and a benchmark in the category: over 75% of motorhomes in circulation today have a Ducato base. Ever since the dawn of its history, the Ducato model has represented a real brand able to revolutionise its segment with continuous innovations found today on all the light commercial vehicles. And over the years it has gradually enhanced its features to become a trendsetter produced in over 10,000 product variants and sold in more than 80 countries worldwide. This adds up to global success. In 2014 the model was brought up to date to meet new customer needs by offering more technology, more efficiency and more value. And recently the new range of Euro6 engines implementing LPEGR and SCR technology according to the vehicle mission made its début. Visitors to the Fiat Professional stand can get to know three models starting from a new Combi with long wheelbase fitted out with the 150 HP 2.3-litre Multijet2 engine, the best of its class in terms of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. It should be emphasised that the vehicle exhibited comfortably seats 9 people and at the same time boasts a roomy luggage compartment (up to 2 m) that is the best of its class. What's more, it features leather-wrapped steering wheel, level control suspensions, a programmable and independent Webasto heating system, camera and parking sensors, control and speed limiter. The vehicle is distinguished by a refined metallic grey livery with 16" alloy wheels and innovative LED daytime running lights. This version introduces a new family of vehicles dedicated to people transport that will be enriched in 2017 with the new Minibus models that have been fully re-engineered: new interiors, new ergonomic seats, new and efficient air conditioning system and a wide range of customisation for every short or long-range transportation need. Thanks to its low ground clearance and its interior roominess, Ducato is the ideal vehicle for urban and suburban passenger transportation, for both individuals and professionals. On display at the Hannover show will also be an original Ducato set up in collaboration with the Technical Service Operation Division of the Mopar brand. More specifically, starting with the outstanding versatility of the model, the silver grey vehicle is equipped with a 150 HP 2.3-litre Multijet2 engine. It is a smart and innovative solution dedicated to a professional who uses it as a natural extension of his workplace. By using a quick and safe installation and removal system, Mopar offers a range of equipment suited to the diverse needs of customers. The version presented in Hannover displays a composition with three shelving models arranged on the two sides of the Ducato and storage compartments, drawers and tool cases. To enhance mobility, the vehicle also fits a power generator on an extractable top which can be used to operate a 10 bar air compressor in addition to other devices. Finally, other accessories worth mentioning are two telescopic cargo holding bars, a strap holder case and a handy trolley. Lastly, space is given over to a version on a Ducato with cab and flat bed base that demonstrates the exceptional versatility of the model, which lends itself to countless conversions. Distinguished by a white body, the vehicle is equipped with a 180 HP 2.3-litre Multijet2 engine (Euro 6) and a manual 6-speed transmission. Other equipment includes: 16" alloy wheels, cruise control and speed limiter, leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED daytime running lights and driver's seat with springs for extra comfort. Also installed on the vehicle is the Comfort pack that includes the Uconnect Nav 5'' radio, rain and dusk sensors, fog lights, automatic A/C, electrically closing rear-view mirrors and driver assistance systems LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System) and HBR (High Beam Recognition). Fullback In Hannover two Fullback models can be admired. They are both equipped with a 180 HP 2.4-litre aluminium turbo diesel engine combined with four-wheel drive and manual 6-speed transmission. It is the symbolic product of the new range which is introducing the brand to an entirely new playing field and is a major leap towards Fiat Professional's growth as a global brand. Interestingly, pick-up trucks are one of the most important segments in the EMEA region amounting to 22% of the entire commercial vehicle mix. While the average mark in Europe is about 6% and on the rise, in Africa and the Middle East it reaches a remarkable 70%. Perfectly aligned with the top competition in terms of configurations, size and engines, "Fullback", the Fiat Professional "Work Hero", has been created to answer the specific needs of professional customers: its great flexibility makes it suitable for all kinds of work and non-work uses. The spotlight is trained on the Fullback that recently took part, as the Official Vehicle, in the famous 2016 MXGP FIM Motocross World Championship, where Fiat Professional was Official Sponsor besides the Title Sponsor in the three races held in Belgium, Italy and the UK. This particular model is in the "extended cab" configuration and features a sporty dark fabric covering matched with a special livery in keeping with the motocross theme, made in collaboration with Garage Italia Customs. Its equipment includes: underbody skid plates for off-road use, black 16" alloy wheels, black front grille, specific side steps and steel sport bar painted black that emphasises its sporty look. The second model on display is a "double cab" in the rich LX version, with white livery and dark fabric interior. The vehicle is embellished with tubular side steps, underbody skid plates for off-road use and 17" alloy wheels. The standard equipment includes the automatic A/C unit and the 7" touch display radio with built-in navigation system and rear camera. Also carrying the Mopar signature are several accessories installed on the vehicle, such as the logo valve caps, fabric mats and the loading compartment lining. Talento The spotlight will also be focused on the new Talento, the model that with its generous loading capacity is the ideal work mate for professionals in city streets and on major roads alike. Its features include outstanding versatility and the ability to adapt to the most diverse needs of customers. Its highly symbolic name evokes the innate qualities of the vehicle and the concept of value by making reference to the name of an ancient coin as in the best Fiat Professional tradition. The result is a functional vehicle that enhances the value of work, time and money of professionals by focusing on their real needs. Talento is link between Doblò Cargo and Ducato and is allowing Fiat Professional to cover new load volumes and lengths and compete in the 2P segment with an ideal-sized wheelbase. The New Talento line-up covers new volumes and load lengths to fully meet all professional transport needs. The opening of the "CargoPlus" partition situated under the passenger seats allows professionals to carry objects measuring up to 3.75 metres in length (4.15 m for the long wheelbase trim level). Its extraordinary accessibility is also guaranteed by the threshold of just 552 mm and the 1030 mm width of the sliding door (100 mm from the floor). The load volume equals 5.2 m3 in the short wheelbase trim level, 6 m3 in the long wheelbase trim level and a generous 8.6 m3 in the long wheelbase and raised roof trim level; this means that the New Talento, even in the short wheelbase trim level, is capable of carrying 3 Euro pallets. Two models are on display in Hannover: a cargo version and another for passenger transport. The first vehicle distinguished by a pastel white livery, matt black 17" alloy wheels and "Techno Silver" interior including black dashboard and instrument trim painted silver. It is then entirely embellished with silver or chrome interior details. The vehicle is equipped with the 125 HP 1.6 EcoJet S&S TwinTurbo engine with 320 Nm combined with a manual 6-speed transmission that adopts both SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology for reducing emissions of nitrogen oxides, thanks to the use of AdBlue® solution, and a TwinTurbo that reduces emissions and fuel consumption, and consequently also operating costs. The equipment of the vehicle is completed with three Mopar accessories that make it even more functional: rubber mats, LED interior lights and a smartphone support on the dashboard. Distinguished by its elegant metallic green paintwork and two comfortable rear sliding doors, the second Talento on display has Matt Black 17" alloy wheels and "Living Brown" interior (black/brown dashboard and glossy black trim with chrome details). A further touch of elegance is given by some internal chrome and glossy black elements, and four Mopar accessories, such as side steps, a smartphone support on the dashboard, fabric mats and protective loading compartment threshold. It is equipped with the 145 HP 1.6 EcoJet S&S TwinTurbo with 340 Nm, combined with a manual 6-speed transmission that is also fitted out with SCR technology and a two-stage turbocharger. Both models on show are equipped with upper grid with black bars, A/C, rear camera, fog lights and LED daytime running lights built into the bumpers, plus the 7" Radio Touch Nav including the navigation system, AM/FM (+DAB) radio, USB and AUX ports for music files and Bluetooth® technology for hands-free phone use. Mobility Solution: reduction of the "Total Cost of Ownership", customised business solutions for customers and sustainability Together with movability solutions made-to-measure, Fiat Professional boasts an increasingly customer-oriented approach that can be deduced from its constant attention both to reducing "Total Cost of Ownership" and sustainability. In particular, durability, robustness and consequent increase in the residual value, combined with efficiency and low operating costs and the reduction in price of spare parts, allow the Fiat Professional models to boast some of the lowest maintenance and repair costs in its class, an essential contribution to the improvement of Total Cost of Ownership between the purchase and the sale of the vehicle. Similarly, Fiat Professional is committed to offering sustainable solutions to a wide range of customers, to reducing the environmental impact of its vehicles throughout their life cycle and to responding to consumer demands in every market where it operates. It is not by chance that the brand offers the widest range of LCVs with the methane fuel option, thus contributing to FCA's unquestioned leadership in the European market: from 1997 to the present, the group sold over 700,000 cars and commercial vehicles powered by methane fuel. New Fiorino Another new model of the range exhibited at the Hannover Motor Show is the new Fiorino, the evolution of the model that invented the small van segment. With refreshed a design, inside and out, the New Fiorino is perfect for use in cities, agile in traffic and easy to park. Despite this, it has a remarkable loading capacity of up to 2.8 m3 and can carry up to 660 kg of payload. Furthermore, the New Fiorino is at the top of its class in terms of performance, low running costs, comfort and functionality. Interestingly, the stand displays a Natural Power version equipped with the 70 HP 1.4 engine boasting a dual petrol and methane fuel supply - a solution that only the Fiorino offers in the small van segment - ensuring an autonomy up to 960 km. The natural gas is loaded in two steel cylinders located under the floor, with a total capacity of 77 litres (the equivalent of about 13 kg of gas). In this way, the loading compartment remains perfectly flat and even over its entire length so that it can be put to optimum use with a guaranteed volume of 2.4 m3, complete with a revolving partition and a 500 kg payload (driver included). Proposed in the SX version, the vehicle on show is characterised by its A/C unit, 5" Touchscreen Bluetooth Nav Radio, leather steering wheel with radio controls, 15" trekking alloy wheels, parking sensors and fog lights. Doblò Cargo The heir to a winning model - it has been sold to over 1.6 million customers from 2000 to date - the Doblò Cargo offers the widest range in its segment (from vans to combis, plus the conversion versions for specific uses) and aims at consolidating its position in this market segment, which makes up approximately 25% of the European total light commercial vehicles. Its particularities include top-in-class loading capacity (up to 5.4 m³) and payload (up to 1 tonne), in addition to the adoption of exclusive Bi-link suspensions and a complete range of Euro6 engines (turbo diesel, petrol and petrol/methane). The Hannover Motor Show hosts a Natural Power version equipped with the dual fuel engine (petrol/methane) which grants performance levels worthy of the petrol version but with all the economic and environmental benefits offered by methane. In detail, the 1.4-litre 16V T-JET Natural Power develops a maximum power of 120 HP (both when running on petrol and on methane) and progressive torque values (206 Nm at 3000 rpm). Hence, gear flexibility is high, with reduced use of the 6-speed transmission, for an enjoyable and relaxing drive. Simply press on the accelerator for a nifty response, helped by the reduced inertia of the turbocharger. Doblò Cargo Natural Power is therefore a vehicle that cares about both the environment as well as the needs of the active family: indeed the useful volume of the boot remains unchanged since the methane cylinders are placed under the floor. The total capacity is 95 litres, equal to roughly 16 kg of natural gas, for the short wheelbase versions equipped with 4 cylinders (the long wheelbase versions have 5 cylinders which contain 130 litres/about 22 kg of methane) which are supplemented by the 22 litre capacity of the petrol tank. The vehicle's equipment includes: automatic A/C, 5" Touchscreen Nav Live Radio, leather steering wheel with radio controls, parking sensors and fog lights. Moreover, it includes the multifunctional front seat bench which makes it possible to use 3 seats and also provides a generous storage compartment underneath. The central seat is folding and can be used as an armrest or as a convenient document storage compartment, while the side seat is also folding to allow transportation of long items and related anchorage using practical retaining hooks in the back of the seat. Like the Ducato described above, the model displayed has been set up in collaboration with the Technical Service Operation Division of the Mopar brand. In detail, the Doblò Cargo in Hannover is fitted out with an entire set of equipment ideal for the different needs of its customers. In detail, a modular composition of shelving complete with storage compartments, shelves with drawers and tool cases that can be arranged on both sides of the vehicle can be admired. It will also be possible to view a set of accessories including telescopic cargo holding bars, strap holder cases, a handy trolley and much more. Ram 1500 Quad Cab Sport For the first time ever the Ram Truck brand is taking part in the Hannover Motor Show, thus marking the brand's début as an integration of the Commercial Vehicles offer to seize all the potentials of the EMEA market. The vehicle on display is the Ram 1500 Quad Cab Sport with 5.7-litre HEMI® petrol engine and automatic 8-speed transmission. Distinguished by a Bright White livery, the vehicle has been modified to accommodate an LPG system, a very common option in Europe which allows the driver to switch between two fuel options (LPG or petrol) and to reduce fuel consumption while maintaining high performance driving. Ideal for both work and leisure activities, the versatility of this configuration is further confirmed by the Mopar accessories created for commercial vehicles, including the side steps and black tool case. In addition, the Ram 1500 Quad Cab Sport offers a tow bar approved for the European market, and standing out among the options are the bucket seats with leather inserts, the loading compartment with tilting flat surface, the rear axle ratio of 3.92 and rear axle with anti-roll differential. Finally, the vehicle has a hood for sports performance and an under rail cargo bed covering.
“Born to be professional”: Fiat Professional introduces its "full liner" range: Fiat Professional's "full liner" range The pivotal year for Fiat Professional will be 2016, the one when the brand's "full liner" range will be revealed in all its glory. The brand has been continuously evolving to prepare to tackle the crucial challenges with new products, a novel, even more customer-oriented approach and the determination to open new roads in the global market. Not by chance, this was the first brand "born to be professional". Fiat Professional, entirely dedicated to light transport, can boast over one hundred years of history and a one-of-a-kind baggage of experience in the world of commercial vehicles. Skills have been consolidated over time with unremitting enthusiasm to take on challenges and constantly develop without fearing change. The approach is one of professionals who address other professionals, with innovative and targeted business solutions and an increasingly extensive range. Completely refreshed in just two years, the Fiat Professional line-up today has the right answers to all transport mission needs because all segments are covered. All body types, loading capacities and volumes, a complete choice of wheelbases, widths and height variants, in addition to high-efficiency engines and various fuels options (petrol, diesel, LPG and methane). What is more, the brand places assertive focus on "specialities", such as passenger transport and the world of converted vehicles. So, with this increasingly more customer-oriented approach come new prospects for presenting the line-up dedicated to work and to making businesses grow. Fiat Professional is the only commercial vehicle brand to have a team entirely dedicated to this business area and supports customers with professional mobility solutions for work and leisure. In brief: professionals who support a community of professionals who successfully complete their missions day by day with pride. The product that symbolises this innovation is the Fullback pick-up truck which is introducing the brand to entirely new playing field and is a major leap towards the growth of Fiat Professional as a global brand. Interestingly, pick-up trucks are one of the most important segments in the EMEA region amounting to 22% of the entire commercial vehicle mix. While the average mark in Europe is about 6% and on the rise, in Africa and the Middle East it reaches a remarkable 70%. Fullback is the result of a partnership - based on a technical platform of absolute and tried and tested value - and is built on a body-on-frame architecture which guarantees capacity, capabilities and resistance to extreme efforts, like travelling fully loaded off-road. In short, as the name suggests, it is a player created to open the way to new prospects. In rugby and in American football, the fullback is the last man in defence, but also the first to rush towards the opponent's line. Fullbacks need to be ready to adapt to all situations: tough and reliable in defence, fast and explosive for the counter-attack. Perfectly in tune with best competition in terms of configuration, dimensions and engines, the Fullback pick-up truck is the new Fiat Professional "Work Hero". By its side is Talento, the model that with its generous loading capacity is the ideal work mate for professionals in city streets and on major roads alike. Also new in the line-up is the new Fiorino, the evolution of the model that invented the small van segment. With refreshed a design, inside and out, the new Fiat Professional vehicle is perfect for use in cities, agile in traffic and easy to park. Despite this, it has a remarkable loading capacity of up to 2.8 m3 and can carry up to 660 kg of payload. Furthermore, the new Fiorino is at the top of its class in terms of performance, low running costs, comfort and functionality. Ducato and Doblò Cargo complete the Fiat Professional team. The first is the best-seller of the brand, which over 35 years and six generations has been chosen by over 2.9 million customers. Without considering that more than 600,000 families travel in a Fiat Ducato base motorhome, the Ducato base being the undisputed leader in this sector and a benchmark in the category: over 75% of motorhomes in circulation today have a Ducato base. To keep on playing a leading role in the segment, in 2014 the model was restyled to accommodate the new requirements of customers, offering them more technology, more efficiency and more value. Today, it has become the talk of the town once again for its new range of Euro6 engines implementing LPEGR and SCR technology according to the vehicle mission. Last but not least, Doblò Cargo offers the biggest range of its segment, spanning from vans to special vehicles and conversions for specific uses. The heir to a winning model - it has been sold to over 1 million 675 thousand customers from 2000 to date - the vehicle aims at consolidating its position in this market segment, which makes up approximately 25% of the European total light commercial vehicles. Its particularities include top-in-class loading capacity (up to 5.4 m³) and payload (up to 1 tonne), in addition to the adoption of exclusive Bi-link suspensions and a complete range of Euro6 engines (turbo diesel, petrol and petrol/methane) which stand out for their performance and fuel-efficiency. All are winning models, capable of responding to all professional needs, that cover 97% of the market: these are the sound foundations on which the renovation of the brand is based. For the new line-up, Fiat Professional has created a new advertising project that will feature the Fullback together with the other models always in action. A close, winning team ready to take on any challenge. But that's not all. Fullback is the "product hero" of the official fleet of Motorcross World Championship (MXGP), of which Fiat Professional is Official Sponsor and Title Sponsor in three of main races of the championship, in the UK, Belgium and Italy. This sponsorship project is very important and perfect for the pick-up truck to express its sporty temperament and its off-road vocation. Talento and Fullback Converted with Specific Equipment Four Talento and three Fullback models converted with specific equipment will be introduced at the presentation of the new range to the international press. These are only a few significant examples of the remarkable flexibility of the Fiat Professional models, which are ideal for passenger transport, from shuttles to assisted mobility, and versatile for professional use: mobile workshops, flatbeds, insulated vans or with refrigerated cell, camper vans for leisure and vehicles for Public Authorities to name a few. In brief, there is no professional activity or mobility need that cannot be satisfied by a Fiat Professional vehicle conversion, as demonstrated by the collaboration with the major European outfitters. More in detail, the first Talento (long wheelbase, low roof) showcases an example of conversion for use by disabled passengers. The vehicle on show was converted by Olmedo and is equipped with electro-hydraulic rear lift and modular rear floor, with quick-release seats to allow outstanding configuration flexibility: the vehicle can carry either nine passengers or eight passengers and two wheelchairs. The second Talento (long wheelbase, low roof) was outfitted for exclusive shuttle services with seven leather seats, swivelling second row, floor with rails and ABS lining. This conversion was made in partnership with Focaccia. The third Talento (short wheelbase, low roof) was converted by Plastoblock into an A.T.P. classified insulated vehicle, capable of maintaining constant temperatures of even 0°C. In particular, a refrigerated cell suitable for transporting pharmaceuticals or food may be obtained by applying a refrigerating unit. The Talento line-up is completed by a fourth proposal (short wheelbase, low roof) converted by Storevan into a mobile workshop made of automotive galvannealled steel and featuring a quick and flexible modular fixing system. The spotlight will also be on the Fullback, the new Fiat Professional model which is perfect for multiple conversions. The first example, based on an Extended Cab model, was made by Cold Car and features a eutectic solution low-temperature refrigerated body which is ideal for daily deliveries of frozen food products. The second pick-up truck was converted into a mobile workshop by NCT and features modular and reconfigurable aluminium section bars for transporting equipment and spare parts for on-site maintenance services. Finally, in collaboration with OMARS, a Fullback (Double Cab) was converted for roadside rescue services by fitting a towing forklift.
