Called Punto Evo locally, the Indian-spec Punto stands out from the model sold in Europe thanks to more angular headlights and a new bumper that incorporates a wider radiator grille and a bigger air dam. New paint colors, LED tail lamps and numerous chrome-look accents all around finish off the updates. Inside, the differences between the two models are minor and largely limited to market-specific trim. The two cars share the same dashboard, the same steering wheel and the same seats. The Punto Evo can be equipped with automatic A/C, cruise control, LED ambient lighting and Bluetooth connectivity, while top two trim levels come standard with front and side airbags. The Punto's entry-level engine is a 1.2-liter four-cylinder that generates 68 horsepower. Buyers looking for more power can order a 90-horsepower 16-valve 1.4-liter unit, and Fiat offers a 1.3-liter turbodiesel rated at either 76 or 93 horsepower. All engines send power to the front wheels via a manual transmission. The facelifted Fiat Punto will go on sale across India next week. Pricing information hasn't been published yet. What's Next? The European-spec Punto will not undergo similar updates. An earlier report indicates the nameplate will be phased out entirely in the next couple of years and replaced by a similarly-sized hatchback with a 500-inspired design that will slot between the standard 500 and the larger 500L. Expected to ride on an evolution of the Dodge Dart's Compact U.S. Wide platform, the yet-unnamed Punto replacement will go head-to-head against the Ford Fiesta. Structura cosmopolită a noii companii reflectă îndepărtarea industriei auto de la modelul unor campioni naţionali precum Fiat, care pe parcursul deceniilor s-a mândrit cu originea sa italiană şi torineză. Prin unificarea resurselor cu cele ale Chrysler, compania cunoscută în trecut ca Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili Torino poate concura mai eficient cu mari producători cum sunt General Motors, Volkswagen şi Toyota Motor, a spus Marchionne, şeful noii companii. In particular, Doblò Cargo won the "Light Van of the Year" title for the second year running, while Fiorino prevailed in the "Small Van of the Year" category. Doblò Cargo and New Fiorino have been named best vehicles in the "Light Van of the Year" and "Small Van of the Year" categories, respectively, by the expert panel of the prestigious "What Van? Awards 2017", the competition run by Britain's most important magazine specialised in advice for buying and selling light commercial vehicles. For the occasion, Fiat Professional has created a special advertising campaign that celebrates the two coveted accolades. At the award ceremony which took place in London, the "What Van?" panel of experts, with decades of experience in the sector, announced the success of the two models, which together with the iconic Ducato and the recent Fullback and Talento models form the Fiat Professional line-up that has been fully renewed in just two years. The second Talento (long wheelbase, low roof) was outfitted for exclusive shuttle services with seven leather seats, swivelling second row, floor with rails and ABS lining. This conversion was made in partnership with Focaccia. The third Talento (short wheelbase, low roof) was converted by Plastoblock into an A.T.P. classified insulated vehicle, capable of maintaining constant temperatures of even 0°C. The Talento line-up is completed by a fourth proposal (short wheelbase, low roof) converted by Storevan into a mobile workshop made of automotive galvannealled steel and featuring a quick and flexible modular fixing system. The spotlight will also be on the Fullback, the new Fiat Professional model which is perfect for multiple conversions. The first example, based on an Extended Cab model, was made by Cold Car and features a eutectic solution low-temperature refrigerated body which is ideal for daily deliveries of frozen food products. The second pick-up truck was converted into a mobile workshop by NCT and features modular and reconfigurable aluminium section bars for transporting equipment and spare parts for on-site maintenance services. Finally, in collaboration with OMARS, a Fullback (Double Cab) was converted for roadside rescue services by fitting a towing forklift.
  7. Created in 1936, the iconic car revolutionised the concept of motor vehicle. For occasion, four days in the most symbolic places in Turin, starting from the Lingotto. On Thursday 16 and 6:30 p.m. at MAUTO, conference on classic car heritage with Roberto Giolito. A great international event will be staged in Turin from June 16 to 19, to celebrate the eightieth anniversary of the Fiat 500 "Topolino" organised by the "Ling80" Committee. The iconic car was the symbol of motorisation not only in Italy and the benchmark in the years around World War II. It was Fiat's first economical car to be launched before the war and represented a revolution in how cars were made and perceived by the public: with the Topolino, motor cars were to become personal mobility instruments and expressions of unprecedented freedom. Celebrations will kick off in the former Lingotto plant, where on the day after tomorrow over two hundred Topolinos will climb up the famous elliptical ramp and stand on the test track on the roof of the historical building where production of the model started in 1936. With this ambitious project, engineer Dante Giacosa wanted to make motor cars accessible to as many people as possible. Made until 1955, the Topolino was the undisputed star of the reconstruction of Italy after the war. Again on Thursday, the cars will be parade from the Lingotto to the Pralormo Castle. The procession will be opened by the car owned by Dante Giacosa, which is now on show at the Fiat Heritage Centre. The parade will touch various key locations in and around the city during the various days of the event, including the royal hunting residence of Stupinigi, Racconigi Castle, Moncalieri, Piazza Vittorio Veneto, the Juventus Stadium, the Mirafiori Motor Village and the National Automobile Museum. Precisely the latter location will be the stage for a conference focusing on the classic car history entitled "Back to the future", with Roberto Giolito, Head of Heritage FCA Italy on Thursday at 6.30 p.m. Starting from the concept of how the Topolino was the expression of all-encompassing automotive ingenuity, with its innovative engine, chassis, suspension and interior layout concept, Roberto Giolito will illustrate the invaluable legacy of this revolutionary motor car and how its concept and engineering was to influence many later models. The city of Turin and the Lingotto building will be the natural locations for this commemorative event. Opened in 1923, the Fiat factory is still admired today for its modernity and elegant vertical development. At the time, the solution of building a test track on the roof gained the admiration of architect Le Corbusier. Even before having been completed, the building which had been designed as a place of work had become the symbol of the burgeoning Italian industry and soon gained a footing in the nation's collective imaginary. The cars which like the Topolino rolled off the lines here have travelled through the decades and contributed to motorising Italy until production was transferred to more modern plants. After having been decommissioned, the Lingotto was renovated to suit the needs of a changing urban fabric: from fine example of industrial archaeology, the factory underwent a long interior refurbishment while maintaining its characteristic exterior appearance unaltered.   8. The New 595 Line-Up: Even More Abarth Following the launch of Abarth 124 spider, it is the evolution of the Abarth icon that since 2008 has gained enthusiasts at global level. Available as hatchback or convertible, the line-up features three trim levels – 595, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione – corresponding to three levels of engine power and tuning. One of the major innovations is the increased power of the 1.4 T-jet engine equipping the 595 (145 HP) and 595 Turismo (165 HP) versions, the latter with Garrett turbine. The 595 Competizione is now optionally available with mechanical limited-slip differential (Abarth D.A.M.) to improve traction in extreme conditions. Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) shock absorbers for 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione. New front end with oversized air intake, new and more pronounced rear diffuser and new specific inserts. New polyelliptical headlight clusters and LED daylights are standard. Xenon headlights available on request. The new 17” Granturismo alloy rims are 7% lighter and with more than 50% greater ventilating surface. New body colours: Modena Yellow, Abarth Red, three-layer Iridato White and the Scorpione Black/Podio Blue, Scorpione Black/Record Grey and Pista Grey/Abarth Red two-colour combos. The interiors are even more exclusive with the use of new technical materials, such as Alcantara® and carbon fibre. Corsa by Sabelt leather and Alcantara® seats with carbon shell are available on demand. New sporty flat-bottom steering wheel with viewfinder and a one-of-a-kind racing-derived instrument panel. Début of the Uconnect system – of which two 5’’ and 7” HD versions are available with high-def screen, navigator and DAB digital radio – and of the powerful 480 W BeatsAudio™ Hi-Fi system with seven speakers. FCA Bank, dedicated to motorists, is supporting the launch of the New 595 Abarth with an array of specific financing packages, insurance products and services tailored for each European market. It has been just over two months since the launch of Abarth 124 spider and now the brand with the Scorpion trademark is generating buzz again. Engine and gearbox One of the biggest innovations is the increased power of the 1.4 T-jet engine installed on the 595 and 595 Turismo versions. The first delivers 145 HP and 206 Nm of peak torque, while the second reaches 165 HP and 230 Nm. What is more, the latter is fitted with aGarrett turbine. On the other hand, 595 Competizione with its 180 HP is the car for drivers who crave racing adrenaline in terms of both performance and technical features. Accelerating from 0-100 in 6.7” and then braking safely with the oversize Brembo braking system with four-piston fixed aluminium callipers will be a pleasure in the anatomical “Abarth Corsa by Sabelt” shell seats. Moreover, the engine also achieves a specific power of 132 HP/litre as a result of the high-performance Record Monza exhaust with dual mode system.This exclusive feature is available, on request, on the rest of the range, together with the Record Modena exhaust that ensures identical performance combined with a less aggressive looking tailpipe. As standard, all variants of the 1.4 T-jet engine are paired with a mechanical five-speed gearbox but they can be fitted with an Abarth robotised sequential gearbox with shift paddles. Abarth D.A.M. The New Abarth 595 is the only car in its segment to fit a truly exclusive mechanical limited-slip differential (Abarth D.A.M.), for superlative performance. Available on demand, the Abarth mechanical limited-slip differential is available on the 595 Competizionewith manual transmission and derives directly from the experience acquired on the 695 Biposto. The Abarth mechanical limited-slip differential exploits the full potential of the 595 Competizione to the utmost and improves traction in extreme conditions. The mechanical limited-slip differential ensures adequate torque transferbetween the front wheels when either has less grip (a typical example is the different speed coming out of curves taken with high lateral load). This equipment allows the driver to close the line and eliminates understeer. Abarth D.A.M. is contained in the new Performance Pack – available on the New Abarth 595 Competizione with manual gearbox only – which includes 17” Supersport rims and Sabelt leather/Alcantara® seats with carbon shell, carved aluminium 595 badgeand the red, white or glossy black customisation pack to personalise the look of the car. Brakes, suspension and Sport button Standard on 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione are the Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) rear shock absorbers that optimise the driving experience and safety by improving road-hold, handling and stability. And now, the same shocks are fitted as standard on 595 Competizione on the front suspension, with a considerable increase in dynamic performance. Also on the top-of-the-range version is theBrembobraking system with four-piston aluminium monoblock fixed callipers – standard red or optionally grey, black or yellow – combined with 305 mm ventilated and perforated discs. The standard callipers are instead black on the 595 Turismo, with red or yellow offered as alternatives. Finally, the New Abarth 595 also fits a Sport buttonto change different parameters of the car: from maximum torque output to power steering calibration to get a more direct and less invasive feel. Furthermore, the system adjusts the accelerator pedal calibration to guarantee prompter response and the TFT instrument panel switches to racing configuration, in perfect Abarth style. Exteriors On the outside, the New Abarth 595 has plenty of new features which improve performance. The front end, for example, was redesigned and nowhas an oversized air intake: this improves heat management in the engine compartment and increases cooling capacity by 18%. So, performance and regularity of engine delivery are increased, even in the case of more extreme racing tuning. Abarth engineers also worked on the rear bumper creating a more pronounced diffuser. Specific bumper inserts have also been created for each trim level. They are matte black for the 595, in matching body colour on the 595 Turismo and with the tar cold grey finish on the 595 Competizione. The front and rear headlight clusters are also new, with polyelliptical headlights and LED daytime running lights on the entire range as standard equipment. Xenon headlights are optionally available. They ensure better emitted light quality and excellent efficiency in all weather conditions because they are nearly three times brighter and longer lasting than normal halogen headlights. The new 17’’ Granturismo rims (standard on 595 Turismo) are 7% lighter and have over 50% more ventilating surface to the benefit of heat dissipation, and enhanced and more consistent braking system performance as a consequence. The distinctive features of the new Abarth 595 include new satin chrome trim on the 595 and Turismo versions, new mirror caps (satin chrome on 595 Turismo, matching body colour on 595 and tar cold grey on 595 Competizione) and the side stripes (standard on 595 Competizione), now wider and longer to give greater emphasis to the Abarth brand. Una gamma di prodotti ben caratterizzati, con qualità positive, che riscuotono l'apprezzamento del pubblico e non solamente in Italia. Rappresentano benissimo quello spirito emozionale e aspirazionale che è la metà del marchio Fiat. L'altra metà dovrebbe essere, invece, contraddistinta da un carattere più funzionale e razionale, quello della Panda e della Punto, per esempio. Peccato che questa parte della gamma sia molto più obsoleta dell'altra e che, Panda a parte, necessiti dei maggiori interventi. Il primo di questi potrebbe anche derivare dal progetto Aegea, ovvero la berlina a tre volumi compatta destinata ai mercati mediorientali, da cui dovrebbe derivare la prossima segmento C di Fiat, sia berlina che station wagon. Praticamente la nuova Bravo, sempre che questo nome venga mantenuto. Linea semplice e razionalePartendo dalle forme della Aegea a tre volumi abbiamo provato a immaginare come sarebbe la nuova Fiat Bravo, cioè quella progettata e sviluppata per il mercato europeo. Ovviamente, visti i gusti degli automobilisti del Vecchio Continente, è impensabile proporre da noi una compatta a tre volumi, tuttavia lo stile potrebbe in qualche modo essere coerente col progetto di partenza e mantenere quindi un accenno di coda. Per il resto, la forma del padiglione e delle luci posteriori riprendono quelli della versione originale, confermando uno stile che, tutto sommato si può definire piacevole. Si tratterebbe, quindi, di una Bravo ancora più razionale e pragmatica rispetto alla precedente, depurata di ogni velleità sportiveggiante e votata alla praticità d'uso. Sotto c'è la 500LLo conferma anche il fatto che la piattaforma su cui è stata sviluppata è quella B-Small della 500L, più semplice rispetto alla C-Wide della Bravo precedente e della Alfa Romeo Giulietta, ma del resto tutte le concorrenti del segmento C sono andate nella stessa direzione, quella della semplificazione. Verificati starea tehnica a masinii. Nu uitati ca un motor neingrijit poate consuma cu pana la 50% mai mult. Apoi, asigurati-va ca anvelopele au presiunea corespunzatoare, cele fara presiune reusind sa mareasca consumul de carburant cu 4-5%. Totodata verificati in mod regulat starea bujiilor. Un alt factor care influenteaza cantitatea de combustibil consumat este filtrul de aer. Un filtru murdar restrictioneaza circulatia aerului in motor, ceea ce afecteaza performanta si economia. Filtrele de aer sunt usor de verificat si de schimbat: scoateti filtrul si indreptati-l spre lumina. Daca nu vedeti lumina prin el, este clar: aveti nevoie de unul nou. Viteza mananca benzina! Daca simtiti in mod frecvent nevoia de adrenalina, trebuie sa luati in calcul si banii irositi pe franarile bruste, condusul sportiv si viteza mare. Indicat este sa deschideti geamurile pentru a iesi aerul cald si apoi sa setati o temperatura de 22-23 de grade Celsius si ventilatia la maxim. Pe timp de iarna curatati rotile de zapada depusa care poate ingreuna deplasarea si care pune greutate in plus, deci un consum de carburant mai mare. Luati in calcul ca anvelopele de iarna trebuie montate atunci cand temperatura exterioara este sub 7 grade Celsius, indiferent daca pe strada exista zapada sau nu. Bagajele inutile cresc consumul de combustibil. Verificati-va portabagajul si eliberati-va de toate acele lucruri care, adunate, in mod sigur ajung la 20-30 kg. Potrivit unor surse apropiate discuţiilor, acestea sunt cifrele asupra cărora au căzut de acord cei mai mari jucători din auto şi autorităţile din cadrul Ministerului Economiei, transmite zf.ro Preţul maxim al maşinilor noi, ce vor fi acceptate spre achiziţie în noul program, va fie de 45.000 de lei fără TVA, fie de 50.000 de lei fără TVA, potrivit surselor citate. Diferenţa de 5.000 de lei este una importantă în special pentru importatori, care în general comercializează maşini mai scumpe decât cele vândute de Dacia. Astfel, dacă pragul rămâne la 10.000 de euro fără TVA (12.400 de euro cu TVA), în program pot intra toate modele Dacia, dar nu se încadrează modelul Ford B-Max, produs de americani la Craiova. As expected, 500X's front end is heavily inspired by the aging 500 city car. The crossover looks considerably more rugged than the 500 thanks in part to black plastic trim around the wheel arches and on the rocker panels as well as faux brushed aluminum trim on the lower bumper. Despite its small footprint, the 500X will offer room for up to five passengers and their gear. Most models will come equipped with a configurable thin-film transistor (TFT) screen mounted in the instrument cluster, and more expensive trim levels will come equipped with a color touch screen that will run Fiat-Chrysler's latest Uconnect infotainment system. The Fiat 500X will share its basic architecture with the Jeep Renegade that debuted in Geneva last March.
